UglyCoyoteNG Rainey_angel81 Our cat is missing. He never ever ever leaves the front porch and since I trained him, he comes when I call him. My mom thinks he was either taken or shot by the same people who shot him with a BB gun last year. Oh no! ;_; -hugs- I hope he's just been scared off-then he'll come back...at least... *hugs back* I hope so too

I came up with a really silly idea for the anime con I'm going to next month. It's gonna be a little parody of Deathnote. Instead, it'll be the No Brand Note (because it's No Brand Con), and if people write their names in it, they will have a great time at the con. If they write something more specific, then maybe it will happen. It's corny, but I wanted to do it because I'm going as L (and if you're familiar with Deathnote, I know this isn't totally right, but we'll just go with it). I bought a composition notebook, some black duct tape, and a white-out pen to make my No Brand Note. This should be interesting

ORINDA - When Tigger came home split open behind the eye last month, Bob Marshall chalked it up to a catfight or a car.
When the 12-year-old orange tabby "went AWOL" last week for the first time in three years before a search found him hours later, Marshall worried but had no answer.
And when a feral stray that had clung for years to Nanette Fukushima's porch vanished, she didn't know what to think.
But after Sunday night, the neighborhood in the low hills west of Camino Pablo is arching its back and abuzz with theories of serial cat abuse after the latest and most disturbing episode around their normally feline-friendly street.
That is when Zed, an orange tabby, turned up on a driveway with his paws bound in duct tape, blood across his face, a sheen of human urine coating his fur and a gouged and bloodied tail. To his owners -- a firefighter and a nurse -- it seemed as though his tail had been clamped in a vice.
"It made you pretty much just nauseous to look at it. It made you frightened, actually," said Lisa Bradley, Zed's owner. "I felt very violated. It wasn't like, 'Ha ha. Let's put tape on a cat and watch it walk.' It was encased, taped and woven like a cross-pattern."
Bradley held the remnants of the tape, which took her 20 minutes with a construction knife to remove, along with a coating of fur from her 8-year-old tabby. Each paw was taped, then the taped paws were strapped together. Now, Zed is on antibiotics and remains in the house. The last three inches of his damaged tail are bald. It may need to be amputated if it doesn't heal properly, Bradley said.
Her neighbor, Jeannie Woodlee, said she was leaving the house about 7:30 p.m. when she saw Zed in her driveway, silver tape wrapped up his front legs. His back paws were taped as well, but Zed had managed to free one leg and hobble. From where is a mystery.
"It was kind of a crawl-wiggle kind of move," said Woodlee. "I couldn't make sense of what I was looking at, at first. Then I realized a person had done this to be cruel to a cat. Everyone in our neighborhood is very disturbed by it."
That's putting it mildly, said Fukushima.
"We're freaked out," she said.
An Orinda police officer and a Contra Costa County animal services worker arrived, and the county agency took the case.
"Our investigation is open, but there's no active (case) -- no leads, no suspects, no information," said animal services Lt. Abe Gamez.
Animal cruelty can be punishable by as much as a year behind bars or a $20,000 fine. Such cases are rare, said Gamez.
Neighbors in the area say they hoped for more from police. Paul Rives, assistant to Orinda Police Chief Bill French, said police can do little without evidence of trespassing.
"The best-case scenario for us would be for the residents of the neighborhood to report any more of this activity and try to identify somebody who would be a suspect," he said.
Now, the people around California Avenue are left to scout for trouble and speculate.
One complicating factor: Zed and Tigger look nearly identical.
"This could either be some indiscriminate, serial, escalating act, it could be an undiscerning grudge act because the cats look exactly alike, or our cat in fact could have been hit by a car, and the (abuse) with their cat was an isolated act," said Marshall, 70.
"It may be someone not coping with growing up."

They should be looking at that alot more seriously. It's been known that serial killers start off with torturing animals.

That's twisted on so many levels...Is that around where you live, Rainey?
Another note: I've been getting a steady stream of PMs from "people" with bizarre, ridiculous names that have absolutely no logic behind them. One name was just a string of consonants....I think it's the same person, though, cause all the avatars look EXACTLY the same: Male, no clothes, spikey "Cloud"-ish brown hair, wide smile mouth, no clothes.....And all the messages are the same. "Hi" That's it. It's not really hurting me, but it is annoying me, and I'm not sure how to report it cause it's just a whole bunch of different avatars PMing me..... sweatdrop
I also noticed that a couple of them commented on my entry in the Avatar Arena.... sweatdrop

Everyone in the arena has been complaining about them because they usually just leave random comments in mass numbers all throughout the arena. They also seem to have a nasty habit of spam pming people from the arena. I would suggest reporting the pms and saying they appear to be spam/bot pms. Rainy- I hope that isn't in your area, especially with you mentioning one of your kitties was absent. Did he come back yet by the way? (offers some hugs)

Feline - I know
Leyla - yes, I like about 5 miles from that town
Manda - I know..but a few years back there was a group of kids who were finding strays and burning them alive (in the town i live) and then our neighbors maid's son let himself into her house and badly beat all of her cats with a baseball bat, killing one and leaving 3 with severe injuries including brain damage.
Krissim - unfortunately, yes. We've been around to the animal control but we all think he's been taken

That...that is just sick. If someone did something to one of my babies, I'd return the favor, regardless of punishment to myself. God knows animal cruelty doesn't get taken seriously enough, but I suppose it's a step in the right direction that at least it's illegal now. Hope your kitty is okay.

...so lately I've been taking things slow. And I mean /sloooooow/. Like by the time I wake up it's 6pm slow.
I dunno. Things are a blur. Sometimes I wonder why the heck I bother to keep up with life still, and then after logging on MSN, I see Ome / Caitie / Tom's windows pop up and remind me why. Love can make a person do crazy things, keep them up through the worst of times. But lately... I wonder if that's enough.
My very existence seems to have dumbed down to sleeping, playing videogames to give myself a break from thinking, doing a few chores around the house... and DnD games are pretty much my only reason to ever leave the house anymore. Eh, even then last weekend I declined the invitation because I've started losing interest in those outings. I just don't really get any enjoyment at all from roleplaying anymore.
Then again I've started losing interest in a lot of things. Cooking doesn't really spark my interest anymore... or drawing for that matter. I mean... I've wanted to have my own comic for as long as I can remember, but even that's faded. Nowadays I just draw occasionally for the sake of hoping I haven't lost the simple ability to draw. Not much more I can do about it though, I've finished my last artpad, ran out of paper and my inking pens have been finished for a while now.
So most of my time's been spent on videogames. Ah... videogames. Sadly, they're losing their touch too. There was a time where I could just sit in front of Doom or GunZ to vent my anger and frustration and nothing in the world could phase me. Hours and hours just exploring, discovering those grand fictional worlds, being either hero or villain, commanding armies, razing castles and punching the bad guys in the gut. No, these days I seem to just play videogames to give myself a chance o stop thinking... or plainly out of not doing anything else.
Can't say I really know where I'm headed from here. At best I've got top-rank in highschool studies and that's about it. I can't really go to college... taxi costs a fortune just to get out of this little town. Haven't really had any luck in getting a job... none of the places in town seem to want to hire me. As much as I'd love to stack 2, 4, 6, 18 or 35 CVs on their doorsteps... I doubt it'll get me any further if they won't consider the first one. Mmrph.
Bleh. I'm considering just calling it a night and going to bed since I don't really know what I'm up for anymore. Honestly... everything just seems so distant and unimportant now. About the only thing left that seems real is the purring when I pull my cat onto my lap and stroke his stomach...
Today? Didn't do much. Got some mail from my old apartment... apparently Bell messed up with my address change and are still sending stuff there. Also got a nice 130$ fine from Urgences Quebec for ambulance. Seriously, those phonelines should warn AHEAD of time that they're going to rape your wallet. I was at wit's end because I already HAD nothing left... how am I suppose to magically pay now? Stupid system... Next time I'll just go through with it! No secret costs to haunt you when you're dead, ugh.
I dunno what to do really. I probably SHOULD just get some sleep... But meh. I dunno. I'll probably end up just sleeping the entire tomorrow off. And the day after too. =_=
