And I found taking out his shield generator wipes out his defense by half.

Anyone have any strategies for dealing with Ion Cannons from planets, I mean you have to push a fleet through but when 1-2 Star Destroyers are disabled it becomes rather annoying and hard to fight back.

On a sidenote I wish someone would maybe develop other ships in mods eg Dreadnaught Cruisers from the Katana Fleet and Outbound Flight Project.

EDIT: Had another game, made better use of Boba Fett to kill 1-2 hero units, I also got around to building the Death Star and I also practically won, only ONE Rebel controlled planet remmained Shola or something like that.
Like the big lever you pull for it hehe, choose the moment of death.

Ion cannons are not very difficult. In fact, a great strategy is use only acclamators as your entire force, about 15-20 of them. Get about 5 tartan cruisers and you can never have enough missle boats. They will just run out of energy.

But for the most part, Ion cannons can only be defeated in numbers.

Also remember that it takes 2 1/2 blasts before you can fully undisable.

Hm I'll keep that strategy in mind should I encounter another one of them.

I usually just plow through the enemy. Another great tactic, if you have a flagship.

Oh, another tip: You can never have too many fleet admirals.

True however grouping them all in 1 Star Destroyer is a bad thing, I tend to keep some of them in seperate fleets sometimes.

Does anyone have any requests for ships or cruisers or stuff for Empire at War, I personally want to see more TIE and New Republic Fighters ect come in to the fray.
As I noted earlier Dreadnaught Cruisers would be a nice addition, depends what people make for the game with mods.
