"Good job, Beldum. Come on back," I said, recalling Beldum and letting Magbhy back out. "Good job on that move, Alex. Caught me by surprise on it, and didn't let up. I'm impressed. Let's give Lillipup a taste of the fllames, Magby. Use Ember."
With that, Magby squirted out tiny flames from its mouth and let the grow before pushing them toward Lillipup.
"Hello, Hawk," I said afterward while glancing at him.

"We did it? We won? We won!" Alex cheered, almost in disbelief. Her very first victory had arrived. Seeing Beldum returned and Magby taking its place surprised Lillipup but he was ready to keep going. He was however, not ready for Ember as he tried to run from it as instructed by Alex, only to be burned in the end. The puppy struggled to get back up but it was useless. "That's ok, you did good Lillipup" she smiled, returning the pokemon. Next it was Z's turn, who had more moves and more experience than Lillipup. The digital pokemon floated torward the battle field, staring at Magby.

Hawk waved his hand at Terashi... well, he waved the hand that his Joltik was currently clinging to. "Sup, Terrerraraarrreeerereashi." He said, extending his name with a weird motorcycle revving noise. "Who's this? Someone new?" He said, half addressing Terashi, half addressing Alex. It was an awkward way to ask about her while maintaining a cool demeanor.

The thought of Alex being a normal-type specialist crossed my mind, but her excitement over Beldum assured me that she wasn't. "Alright, Magby, set up a Smokescreen, please."
The little Fire-type responded by coughing up a cloud of billowing smoke between it and Porygon. Hopefully, this would prove enough distraction for the moment.

As the smoke seperated the two pokemon, Alex wondered which move would best to start with. She was, however, distracted by Hawk's waving. "Hey, it's Susan!" she shouted, waving at the dread head. Z made a buzzing noise, bringing it's trainer back to the battle. "Oh, right. Umm...can't see it...hard to pinpoint it's locaton. Oh! Hit everywhere then! Discharge!" Alex shouted, watching the pointy pokemon let loose stray lightning strikes into the smoke.

"Faint Attack."
Z's Discharge wouldn't be hitting anything but air, as Magby used the lack of vision to sneak behind Z and smack it with a fistful of darkness.

"Psybeam!" Alex shouted after Z was hit. It would be easier to hit now that it was exposed. The beam would be fired immediately after it was struck to ensure a hit on the fire type.

Magby, who had never taken such a powerful blow before, crumpled under the strong Psychic blast. He managed to get on his feet afterward, but it took enough effort that I just recalled him to his Poke Ball.
"Good job. You've got some real potential as a Pokemon Trainer." I told her with a slight smile.

Z spun around, celebrating his victory. "Good job Z!" she grinned, returning the Porygon to it's pokeball. "You think so? Thanks Terashi!" the girl smiled feeling very happy now.

"No problem," I told her before heading off for my room for the night. I had to promise Beldum and Magby that we wouldn't take it so easy on her next time before they would let me recall them, though.
As part of that promise, I spent much of the next day in the training room, seeing to their practice and experimenting with their abilities, this time with the two working together as a team against just Drillbur, which was good for his training, as well. I also let Samurai and Sunny team up against Darien and Shady, just to keep them from getting bored.

I was in the med lab still. While waiting on the two eggs that I got from the battle frontier to hatch, I took the precaution, I actually found a tank that I could put Feebas in for the time being; though I really didn't feel right. It needed a bit of freedom, as far as I could figure. In this thing? Ugh...I'd have to find that Prism scale or get a few poffins or Pokeblocks to feed this thing.
I came down to a realization. "I don't know how to make poffins." I said. Oops.

"You've got the berries, I can make them." Lykas offered from the medlab door. He wasn't sure why Blizz might need them but he'd learned a long time ago how to make both Pokeblocks and Poffins. The fact he had a gorgeous Milotic of his own should be evidence of his skill at the making of said treats, however.
Odd, on the other hand, was asleep at the kitchen table, a cup of coffee clutched tightly in his hands. Seemed he was trying to stay awake when he passed out.

I was just musing, is all." I said to him. "Assessing the options. I got a egg that will hatch into a Feebas as far as I know of, but the thing of it, I don't feel right leaving a fish of that general size in a tank like this. It needs some place to roam; or rather be able to roam." I said. "I could take it outside, but I fear the waters may be too cold in the mountains for Feebas to handle; being only a soon to be newborn and all, and for that matter, I may end up losing the Feebas in the waters if I wasn't careful. I was thinking on getting it evolved so it wouldn't have to stay cooped up in a tank for long."

"Well, my own Milotic seems to like the waters outside but you're right to be concerned about a Feebas. I've heard they're as hardy as Magikarp when it comes to the waters they can live in but 'can' and 'do' are two different things entirely." He mused aloud. After a moment of thought, he made a decision. "I'm a water-type specialist and most of my Pokemon stay in the lake outside so if you wanted to let Feebas wander out there, I'll let all my Pokemon know to keep an eye on it for you." He offered. The only other option he could think of was the tank he had for smaller Water-types but it was a custom-made one. He'd brought it in from his room at Erika's gym and it was plenty big for smaller Pokemon. Problem is it takes up half a bedroom.

Well, it was better than keeping it up in a small little fish tank. Still a little worried about how cold it might be to the Feebas...then again, it was summer for the most part. It might not be too bad. "All well and good though; I'm still waiting on the day the egg as well as the other egg I got to hatch."
