Now I really feel the world is coming to an end. It's April 5th, and my school is having a snow day. Isn't this supposed to be spring?!
Hey, hopefully I'll at least get some of my work done...

FogSage UglyCoyoteNG Can't really do anything- were going to phone the feds though, I think. I hate to say it, but this should be a very good, if costly, lesson for you. Don't buy what you can't see with your own eyes and touch with your own hands. Anyway, looks like you need to get a job to pay your mom's boyfriend back! If I went by that, i wouldn't have half the animals I have. If I went by that, I'd never be in business. neutral ...as for paying my moms boyfriend back, yeah. I really want to think about that now don't I?

I really want to think about that now don't I? You mean to tell me that you would buy something on pure faith? Knowing it could all be a scam but trusting the other person to do the right thing? Your blind faith in people amazes me. Well, you should give it a thought, NG! Taking that amount of money and not paying it back is not a good idea. >>

Fog, ordering something off the internet, is not having blind faith in humanity. Especially when dealing with exotics, you often have to look to the internet if you hopes at getting certain creatures. Sadly however, some people use it to scam others. I had a similar thing happen when I tried ordering mantises from someone. All though that person was not trying to scam me, the deal did go sour and I ended up paying for two mantises I never got. I suppose that was just blind faith of me. rolleyes

It's the same with dogs. There area lot of good breeders out there, but I know someone who was emailing back and forth with someone about a purebred AKC registered litter of Staffordshire terriers up to their shots and perfect health condition. They paid probably about $500 plus shipping, neuter costs and shots and health check costs for their puppy since the person selling said that the puppy had perfect show lines.
Well..they went to pick him up at the airport and the puppy was not a puppy, but about 14 months old and not purebred. He looked like a pound puppy that someone had just picked up. He ended up having to be euthanized though and they tried to email the seller, the address was down, phone was down and they found out later that the name the person used was fake too.

My point is that if the thing isn't directly in front of you, where you can look at it, touch it, poke it, smell it, ect, then don't buy it, because it's the easiest thing to put together a website, slap a picture on there, and have people flock to you for the stuff you're selling. >>
Only place I buy stuff off the internet from is Amazon.com and Dell. And Gaia too, I suppose. But that's it.

And assuming that everyone out there who sells things online is trying to scam you is pretty unfair to those people, isn't it? =/ Not everyone on the net is a fiend trying to rob you of your money and virginity. You just need some common sense. If it LOOKS suspicious, then it probably is. But 99% of my internet purchasing has been legitimate and I've had no problems. The only times I've been screwed was with two eBay purchases, and both of them were coming out of South East Asia, and purchasing anything from that region can be a crapshoot. That's just led me to be wary of eBay, and use it only as a last resort. I also am wary of Paypal, but lately I've had no problems, so, yeah. Can't trust everyone on the net, but you can't distrust all of them either. Just have some sense about things

It just helps to confirm that a site is legit and if you come across something that is too good to be true, than it probably is.
I do quite a bit of business online and rarely have I lost money from it. I have ripped-off more often from none internet transactions.

Some people use the internet as part of their business.
Buyers aren't the only ones who can get screwed. Sometimes the sellers can.
My dad runs an ebay business. He sells McFarlane action figures and DVDs. There have been times where he got screwed over after mailing out the order and the buyer turned around and cancelled the paypal payemnt.

Second, I don't think I'll be getting online to play with anyone just yet either. It all sounds very difficult and I'm going to be seriously busy in the next few days.

If anything get (other than Zelda, of course) Rayman's Raving Rabbits. It'll make you laugh. Bunnies + Plungers = hours of bizarre entertainment.

So Manda and her roomate did more apartment-hunting again today! And I found an apartment that I'm in LOVE with! $850/mo 2 bedroom, nice town, a bus-stop RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE *squee!!!* And it's big, bright, roomy, airy, and....yay! xd
And I had a job interview today...*crosses fingers* It's at a hotel that's switching over to a Hilton, so they love the fact that I just came from one! Looks promising, but I don't wanna get my hopes up either. I should know by next week though!!! *crosses fingers and hopes*
