Odd laughed lightly at Hawk's reaction. "I'm not dead......I think. I'm a Channeler, though. I just finished my most recent training exercise and learned how to become intangible." He explained as he examined his leg a bit, making sure he hadn't severed anything with that semi-botched attempt. "I'm working on mastering how to use it, still. I'm not very good at it......." He admitted with a small laugh.
"Anyhow, it might do better to train that Joltik of yours against a Pokemon of equal experience." He offered as he straightened up a bit and looked at his friend with a smile. "My Purrloin doesn't have hardly any experience, as a matter of fact. I'd be glad to let you train against her." He added as he pulled a Luxury Ball from his belt and held it out, as if offering the option.

Once Keiko was introduced to her birth mother, and it was confirmed that she and I were siblings, I spent some time in Castelia showing her around, letting her get a feel for what life in the city was like. Eventually, she said she had to get back to somebody, so we Claydolported back to HQ, although we ended up just outside, between Lykas and the entrance to Al's Secret Base.
Keiko knocked on the door, and, deciding to give her some privacy, I walked away from her, toward Lykas. "Hey," I said calmly.

Al answered, bright-eyed as always. "Ah! Miss Keiko! Welcome back." He greeted with a smile.
Lykas, hearing Terashi's voice, turned to look at him. " Hi!" He waved cheerfully at his friend. "Thanks.....uhm......I mean...thank for talking to Odd......" He looked a bit sheepish as he said this. He wasn't used to showing emotion in such a way.

"Thanks, Al!" Keiko smiled. "I had an amazing time! I found out that my last name is actually Toumei - the guy from earlier was my brother, and that both my original parents are alive! He showed me around the city afterward, and it was like nothing I'd ever seen before!"
I sighed, and patted Lykas on the back. "No problem."

"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." Al said as he stepped aside so his younger guest could enter. "You say he was your brother? Well, That's nice to discover. I have to say, my own brothers were my greatest treasures when they were alive."
Lykas grinned at Terashi as he stood up. "So, how have you been?" He asked as he straightened his clothes out a bit. "Haven't seen you in the last few days."

"They're dead?" Keiko asked, looking shocked and hurt. "That's horrible..."
"Well, found out that there are some messed-up things in White Forest. Also found out that I have a sister." I told him.

"Ya....But they were both foolish youths who jumped into being Channelers early in life. Neither understood the hazards of it at the time and they paid for their lack of understanding with their lives." Al replied with an obvious lack of remorse. he missed them terribly, but what had happened to them had been their own fault.
Lykas shrugged to Terashi's response. "Eh, that's none too unexpected, given the messed up stuff that went down there a few years ago." He admitted, though he was slightly caught off guard by Terashi admission of having a sister. "Whoa! You've got a sister? Is she hot?" This was mostly him teasing.

"Oh... so that's why..."
Keiko nodded and gave Al a serious look. "You don't have to worry. I won't get involved in that stuff unless I have a really, really good reason for it!"
"She..." Honestly, I should have expected that kind of a question from Lykas. "She's very... youthful. I figured she would have been younger than me, but she's actually about three years older. That, and the fact that she's in Snagem makes me kinda worry."

"That's why I was so concerned when you got so excited over your friend's Channeler powers. I don't want to see that happen to anyone else....."
He smiled at the girl after she promised to be careful. "I'm glad to hear that. If my brothers had had a real reason, maybe they'd still be around. But our parents pushed them into it before they were ready. I still haven't forgiven them."
"Whaaaaaat? She's a Snagem, too?" Lykas Asked, incredulous. How was it possible that Terashi had a sister and yet he had never seen her?

"I'm sorry to hear about that. It's always hard to lose someone close." she said somberly.
"Yeah. From what I understand, she's been in the team for a while. She doesn't seem the type for our line of work, though," I sighed, expressing my concern. "You probably know her. Her name's Keiko."

"It is." Al agreed, giving the girl a small smile. "But I'm sure you didn't come to see me so we could talk about depressing topics like this." He finally decided aloud, his smile now growing.
Lykas wasn't sure how to react to this information at first. "Keiko?" Oh Gods. If Terashi ever found out that it was he and Odd that had let her into the team.......Would their lives be at stake? Would Terashi try to kill them for putting her in danger? Or would he want to thank them for the opportunity to discover he has a sibling? So many questions! So much at stake! "Ya, I know her." He said as he scratched the back of his head lightly. Best not to mention it, he decided.

"You're right," Keiko nodded, still smiling widely. "I've been so excited over learning this, after searching for so long, that I forgot what we were talking about last time."
One of my eyebrows arched uncontrollably at Lykas's response. Something about it didn't set right with me. "I figured..."
I couldn't think of anything to say other than that, though.

Al laughed lightly. "Not to worry. I'd be excited too." He assured her as he stepped outside. "I believe we were going to have lunch together?" He thought aloud, though it was more like a question, so as to not make Keiko feel bad about forgetting.
Lykas chuckled softly for a moment before a thought came to him. "Oh! Have you seen Odd? He went to do some kind of spiritual training his Channeling mentor called him for but I never saw him come back. I could've sworn I heard him talking to someone last night but when I got there, he was nowhere to be seen."

"Oh, yeah. I was going inside to... oh, no. I totally forgot to pick something up while I was at Castelia!" Keiko whined, feeling bad about keeping Al waiting for so long.
"No, I haven't seen him, yet. I just got back from Castelia, after all," I told Lykas.

Al chuckled lightly at Keiko's whining. It was kind of cute. "No worries, Miss Keiko. I made something, anyway. I figured if nothing else, I could put it away and let my Pokemon eat it when they got hungry." He admitted a tad sheepishly. Now he was the one to feel kind of bad. He had trusted her to bring back food and cooked anyway. How was she to believe he'd trusted her at all now?
"Ah. Well, I didn't know how long you were gone, so I figured maybe you saw him before you left." Lykas replied. "Didn't hurt to ask, though. Guess I'll go look for him if he doesn't come to bed tonight."
