The Murkrow however still wasn't too keen on his new trainer and pretty much immediately dived down at her, cawing loudly as it flew around the girl's head. Kairi quickly handed Leslie over to Dante and ducked down, her hands immediately coming up to her face. "Reno! That's not going to help!" she cried out, trying to block against the Murkrow's beak which kept trying to jab at her. Dante wasn't quite sure what was going on, but, having been handed Leslie, he put the blonde girl down and stared at Reno for a moment before grabbing a hold of the Murkrow, trapping it so it couldn't move, though it struggled against his grip. Finally it calmed down enough, seeing that the girl that had seemed so high and mighty before was actually shaking. "Krow..." Its voice was quiet now, and it had stopped squirming. "Hey Kairi, you can uncover your face now. Your Murkrow isn't trying to hurt you," Dante said calmly. The boy had no intention in training right this second, not when Kairi was freaking out this badly. Her whole body was shaking, and images were flashing through her mind of that day that she and Renata had been attacked. Tears had sprung to her eyes, which was actually the main reason she hadn't uncovered her face yet.

Tails grinned a fanged grin at the fledglings. Blizz had warned him against scaring the Torchic with any predatory moves, but he didn't tell him not to think about it. He could not help imagining Torchic chili. "You guys probably don't want what I'm eating. Blizz says this would melt the paint off the walls."

"Why bother?" Lykas asked as he entered the room, ice-colored hair flowing behind as per usual. "Granted how few people use the pool, I don't see why any of us should care. I mean, I rarely bother when I use it."
Al, who had remained behind when Odd remembered to check in with Sub and left, kept his mouth shut in relation to Lykas' comments. He had nothing to say about what teenagers did around each other. As long as men and women his age stayed out of it, what harm could their be? But then, he also wondered what harm there could be if Keiko kept showing interest in him. Was that alright? He was ten years her senior, after all...... He continued to ponder these things as he tried to ignore the strange boy with the blue hair.

My only response to that was to blush. I wanted to say something, but wasn't sure what to say. Of course, Lykas's comment made me not want to even bother...

Krystal laughed and spotted Al, someone she hadn't met before. At least she didn't think she'd met him before. Popping out of her seat, she appeared in front of him as if she'd been teleported by the team's Claydol.
"Hi there!" She greeted cheerily, turning to Lykas to give him her typical friendly hug then looking back at Al and pointing at him, one arm still around Lykas' shoulders. "Who's he?" Clearly today she was not subtle.

My hand was in my face quickly enough. Here, I thought I was the only one with random bursts of awkwardness.
"Wow, I can't believe I slept that long," Keiko said as she walked into the room in her usual attire, her hair a bit messier than usual, and her eyelids somewhat droopy. "Good afternoon, everyone," Keiko added before taking a seat next to Al.

Trigram Attic Tails grinned a fanged grin at the fledglings. Blizz had warned him against scaring the Torchic with any predatory moves, but he didn't tell him not to think about it. He could not help imagining Torchic chili. "You guys probably don't want what I'm eating. Blizz says this would melt the paint off the walls." "More than that, actually. A previous recipe just about at the metal from the pot he cooked it from." I said. The baby Pokemon didn't even know what was being talked about. What was this chili? Torchic and Mudkip started to make their way towards Tails, looking up at him still. The Torchic though was graced with a sensation when he approached Tails. He was...warm... The Torchic got closer; it was true. Tails was real warm. "Torrr..." The Pokemon spoke up and started to lean up against Tails's leg. "Mud kip?" The other Pokemon spoke, confused as to why Torchic was acting like it was.

Krystal grinned at Terashi's reaction, not feeling awkward at all. Looking up, she saw Keiko and waved at her vigorously.
"Keiko! Hi!"

Reno looked to the rebellious bird before snatching it out of Dante's hands. Glaring down the bird, he let a snarl escape his lips before he began to speak. "You listening, you pint sized little brat? You 'ave been captured by a girl who 'as a fear of birds. You were not intended ta be caught, but that doesn't mean ya 'ave ta be so prissy about it. You will keep in line and be nice to this girl or else my friends are going ta be the ones to take you down so I can right beat the rebelliousness outta ya." The growl in Reno's voice died off as he put the bird back in Dante's hands and went over to Kairi. "There. Your bird should be kinder now. Let it show ya not all birds are the cruel lil beasts that attacked ya. You're stronger now and they can't 'urt ya." Holding Kairi close, he kissed her forehead and allowed her to have her tears fall on his shoulder.

Grimacing, Tails sat down on the floor and tried to push more delicious thoughts from his mind. The Torchic was so small, so soft. A Vulpix his age was meant to hate cute things like this, and the Torchic didn't even realize. "Hey," he said, and presented the bowl. He hoped the barest whiff might scare it off. "Trust me, you don't want any of this. Yooou wiiiill buuuurn if you have any."

Dan didn't really have a comment on the skinnydipping topic and chose to remain quiet like Terashi did. Lykas comment was a little unexpected, granted he didn't even see the guy come in or Al for that matter. Wait a minute... "I concur, who is he?" he asked, in regard to Al's identity. Well he had been absent for a quite a while so there must have been ton's of people around he didn't know. For instance, when Keiko entered the room. 'I've been away too long...' the teen commented to himself.

Torchic backed up a little to leave space to Tails to sit down, but as soon as he done so, he went back to leaning up against Tails. The soft fur, warm sensation he was feeling. This was way too good. Torchic then perked up and looked over towards the bowl that Tails had in his hands. Mudkip got curious and looked down at it...something didn't smell right about it and the little water Pokemon backed away instantly. Torchic got closer though, apparently showing signs of being a slight renegade of sorts. He took a peck into the chili, and downed its tiny beak full. At first Torchic was a bit unphased; but then tears started to go down its eyes. The burn finally kicked. Despite which, it wasn't TOO bad to the tiny Torchic. "Torrrrr."

"Hi, Krystal," Keiko said with a weak smile and a wave.
"Al is a new member to the team, very new, if I recall correctly. Given how long you've been gone, there's probably more you don't know. The girl sitting beside Al is Keiko. She's been a part of the team for a while, but I only found out recently that she and I are siblings - related by blood." I explained.
"Hello," Keiko said, waving to Dan as well.

Drao stared up at the trainer yelling at him, not sure what to do, though it was a little frightened to be honest. It made no noise, shaking slightly in Reno's hands as he was spoken to. When it was handed back to other boy, it made no movement, and Dante let it go, the bird climbed up Dante's arm, gripping the long sleeve carefully in his talons, eventually sitting on the boy's shoulder. He stared at his new trainer, this girl with the fierce eyes... She looked so scared, so... vulnerable. Kairi was still shaking, though she clung to Reno now, her face buried against his shoulder, her hands tightly gripping his shirt as she shook. Sobs catching in her throat. She didn't say anything, for fear of sounding weak. "Krow, krow... Murkrow!" Drao called out. It was his attempt to apologize to the girl, though it only seemed to frighten her more. "Kay... I'm pretty sure he's actually trying to apologize to you. He looks pretty sorry to me," Dante said quietly, the Murkrow nodding its head vigorously in response. "I don't care right now! Just get it away from me!" Kairi shrieked, though her voice was slightly muffled since her face was still buried into Reno's shoulder for the moment.

Lykas hugged Krystal back when she attack!hugged him. "Hi Krystal." He greeted with a smirk.
Al flinched slightly at the girl's sudden appearance in front of him. "M-m-my name is A-A-Aluette R-R-Renarde." He introduced. "B-B-But I prefer Al, if o-o-one must u-u-use my f-f-first n-n-name." He stuttered out, offering a hand in greeting.
"He's kinda shy, so you'll have to be careful not to scare him off." Lykas warned of the girl. "But he just joined a few days ago, I think it was. Odd says he's been living in a Secret Base out in the cave for a couple months already, though." He added in a conspiratorial whisper.
It was only after this shock that Al registered Keiko's presence. "Oh! Miss Keiko!" He smiled at the young woman and offered a small wave. "How did you sleep?" He asked, hoping she hadn't had a fitful rest. Uneasy sleep was often a cause for getting a late start to a day.
