"Yes, a sword...What wrong with that?" he said as he suddenly frowned, "Laugh all you want, but you and Slithe will not get the better of me...I'll prove what it is."

He snatched Kar under his arm, spread his wings, and took flight.

Slithe could tell what was happening, so, he spread his wing and followed behind them.

After flying for minutes at a slighty fast speed, Loren point down at the distortion, "Just like in my dream! There it is, a sword levitating in the center of the distorted field! And look behind it, you see those scorch marks? That's the effect it has on things not accepted and for a few minutes now my tail has been hanging in it."

Loren pulled his tail out without a scratch, "No damage. I'll be able to get my hands on a strong sword...but in my dream...there's an ominous shadow behind it...I wonder if I should grab it..."

Gray observed as Loren sought out for the sword. Taking great notice to the evil being that stood behind it, he made no sound. This is a battle that I must not intervene.

~Meanwhile~

Xian awoken from his rest, venturing down the steps. The building seemed familiar to him, almost like he had been here. "Strange." He walked out of the door, squinting his eyes as the light blinded them.

Xian continued into town, observing everything around him. When he came upon a strange series of shops, he noticed large collections of swords, shields, and scrolls. "What is all this?" Xian's eyes fell upon a large book within the magic shop. His fingers browsed its contents, finding much information about the origins of magic itself and the first magician's manipulation of mana. "Incredible."

His knowledge of the magical world had increased greatly. Soon he began buying thousands of books using only the money he gain from slaying beasts and monsters. Xian was a natural adventurer and a soon to be warrior. He began experimenting with every type of magic known but his skills with the sword were lame. If he ever wanted to be a good fighter, he would have to balance the two.

Xian was forced to find the neutral ground between magic and close combat. Everyday he would train with his sword and recite magical chants. When the training got to dangerous, he would go out into a open field and begin 'spellswording'.

Eliza stepped toward her hand on the hilt of the sword, "I didn't know you would be here..." She said her face with no emotion.

Kar stood beside her seeing the dark energy flowing behind her. It was coming from her not from another source.

"Taking care of some business is all..." Eliza said pulling the sword out and sheathing it. Eliza stood there looking at him and walked toward him to leave with Kar walking in front of her.

"You don't need to know," Eliza said stopping right by his left side. Her eyes looked forward as she spoke, "For now i can not tell you anything." She then kept walking passing him.

Hakuzo swooped down in front of Loren his eyes frantic "I think i would like to take you up on that offer" Hakuzo hissed impatiently.




(Hakuzo fully leveled up. DA DA!!!!)

Hakuzo took a deep breath, greatful that Loren was willing to help "Its Hail! I cant find her anywhere. After we parted ways she and I started feeling weird so we went off into another snow level and rested there." he hissed. "We fell asleep and when i woke up i looked like this" he said, gesturing to himself. "It was weird...Hail actually smiled and was happy for me so we continued looking for that new player...she told me to fly ahead of her so that we would find him faster but when i got back Hail was on her knees in pain and then a black light swallowed her" he growled, sounding more and more panicked. "She and I are connected like you and Slithe and I cant sense her anywhere! You have to help me find her" Hakuzo pleaded.
