I imagine he gets nutrients via IV and catheter tubes, but not actually eat, as if I remember very rightly, he had no stomach....

Though I didn't actually stop the movie to find out either.
I just know he has lungs and a heart, along with his head, and everything else is pretty much machine.

It don't work like that. His bioelectrics power himself, but organic nutrition is required, specifically ions, to make the electric gradient work.
