She knew the man wouldn't be pleased about the tranquilizers but she hadn't had any other choice. "He didn't give me a choice, he was hurting people and himself. He shouldn't that aggravated with a concussion that severe." the nurse protested. She understood that she couldn't even begin to estimate how much it would take to knock a god out. She slid her card to open the door and stopped when Tony put an arm out. "Becareful." she pressed.

Loki still didn't respond with Tony now in the room. His body however did tense more and more the closer Tony got as if poised to strike. As the man got closer however soft mumbling of Tony's name could be heard along with something about being safe. Loki about pounced and drove the blade towards Tony when the man reached his mind. Green eyes which had been unseeing suddenly focused and Loki's hand holding the scalpel loosened to the point he nearly dropped it. "Tony..." he breathed reaching his free hand out to touch the man as if to assure that he was alright. "You are alright, the spell..." Loki spoke slowly and softly. His green eyes were cloudy as if drugged or by fever. The only way that you could tell the difference was the flush of heat that covered Loki's face.

Tony barely flinched at the lunge, having expected it with his body language. Smiling slightly at Loki, Tony nodded. "It's me Lo." He said softly, taking the hand he reached out, he slowly brought it to his cheek, letting Loki feel that he was real. As he did that, his other hand slowly reached for the scalpel. Gently prying it from Loki's hand, he slowly stood and placed it on the table nearby, stepping out of his suit quickly so Loki wouldn't freak out, he knelt in front of the god and carefully pulled him close. "I'm okay Lo, we're okay." He whispered. Keeping him close, he rubbed the god's back, trying to calm him. "You should be in bed babe....you need rest." He whispered.

Loki took a shaky breath as Tony's metal covered hand grasped his and drew it to the genius' face. The god pressed his own hand more firmly against Tony's face when he felt the warmth of the man's skin. Nodding when the man assured him that it was him. The god didn't even notice that the scalpel had been pulled from his hand, instead giving a small whimper when Tony stepped back to step out of his suit. Grasping Tony's shirt as the man pulled him close and buried his head. The heat was far more apparent in Loki's skin resting against Tony's but the god was shaking a bit as if cold. "Woke when the spell activated." Loki murmured. "Someone attacked you with magic." he continued before dissolving into a fit of mumbling of needing to keep Tony safe.

Tony gave a soft shush when Loki whimpered. All of his movements and noises were soft and reassuring, trying to comfort his lover. Letting Loki hid his face, he felt the heat coming in waves off of Loki. That was not good in any way, Loki was supposed to be cool by nature. Holding the god close, he began to rock with him slowly. “I’m safe Lo….you kept me safe.” He murmured. Kissing the top of Loki’s head, he slowly began to work on shifting Loki a bit so he could pick him up. “Why don’t we go to bed now? We’re both tired and could use the rest.” He continued, as if trying to coax a scared animal. As he spoke, he cautiously reached out for Loki’s mind again, radiating peace and reassurance

The god seemed soothed a bit by the noises Tony made, even more so with the rocking. The god's green eyes begin to slip closed again as Tony continued to assure him that they were safe. He was undisturbed by the shifting. "Sleep..." Loki murmured in agreement. The god relaxed more as Tony's mind touched his radiating peace and reassurance. The nurse watched from the doorway with Pepper as Tony dealt with the god. Thinking it was safe she started to enter the room to help but Loki's green eyes flew open and he grabbed for the scalpel again waving it threateningly as he growled.

Tony smiled to himself a little as he sensed Loki beginning to relax and let himself drift off. He was just about to pick Loki up when the nurse entered and Loki was suddenly waving the scalpel around again. Motioning quickly for her to get back, he slowly ran a hand along Loki’s arm. “Babe…..let’s not use this right now.” He said softly, covering Loki’s hand as he tried to take the scalpel again. “We’re safe here…these are our friends.” He continued, still trying to comfort the god through their link as well. “And I’d still like for us to go to bed…..but we can’t do that when you’re threatening people, he added, moving so Loki’s eyes locked with his, trying to keep him focused and not concerned about others.

The nurse jumped back when Loki turned threatening and Tony waved her away. Loki didn't relax as she backed away and his chest heaved in exertion but he didn't make any more moves even as Tony ran his hand down the god's arm. He released the scalpel again when stony tried to take it but his eyes kept locked on the door until Tony locked eyes with him. "Danger..." he pleaded wrapping himself around Tony again.

"Tony..." came Natasha's voice from outside the doorway. ["Thor is off to Asgard though he was a but reluctant to go. Said that Loki would need care. Is everything alright?" she questioned. She could tell the situation was tense and wouldn't enter unless Tony told her it was alright.

Tony slowly set the scalpel aside when Loki released it. It honestly scared him to see the state of his lover, but he didn’t let that show. “The danger is gone right now Lo…” Tony promised as the god held him again. Tilting Loki’s chin up, he smiled at him. “I promise you, we’re safe right now.” He murmured, pecking his lips carefully. As he did that, he heard Natasha outside. Glancing at her, he gave a small nod. “Everything will be fine….we just have to calm down.” He said lightly, not making it accusing at all. Slowly shifting with Loki, he leaned up against a wall, pulling the god into his lap, shielding him from the door a little more. “You should sleep Loki….you know how much I hate it when you use up your magic.” He murmured. “I promise I’m not leaving your side while you sleep….we’ll both be completely safe.”

Loki looked up unsure as the man lifted his chin stating once more that the danger was gone. It was safe he said but he could see the danger beyond the door of the unfamiliar environment. He didn't know anyone, barely recognized one, how could such a place be safe. Especially when he had woken with many different things stuck to him some that hurt. The man was the pulling him into his lap, he was staying in the safe place, the place with only one entrance, they could defend it. Tony's next words seemed to have the god's brain flipping a switch and he gave soft sound of apology. "I am sorry Tony, sorry." the god apologized seeming to forget the danger.

Natasha looked a bit unsure with Tony's words. "Thor said Loki might not be conscious of his actions. He said that Loki would wake up frantic during episodes like this, maybe hallucinating thinking there was danger. Looks like he was right." she stated off handedly. She peeked in a bit more when she heard Loki apologizing.

Tony nuzzled at Loki slightly, hoping that affection would help calm him. Hearing his instant apology, Tony shook his head and kissed Loki’s forehead. “You don’t have to apologize Lo….but it’s time to rest.” He said softly. Hearing Nat, he held up a hand to keep her from coming any farther into the room. He understood what she said, but he didn’t respond at first. “Loki….can Natasha bring in some medicine? Something for a fever?” he asked, giving the woman a pointed look before looking back to his lover. “It’ll make you feel better.” He promised. “Natasha will be the only one to come in here….and you know her, she’s safe.”

Loki didn't stop apologizing when Tony stated that he didn't have have to apologize but he nodded when the man stated that it was time to sleep. Looking up when the man asked if Natasha could bring in medicine he nodded softly. Natasha was safe, Natasha would protect Tony even if he couldn't. He wanted to feel better, wanted to be able to protect Tony.from Sif and Thanos. He couldn't sense the bi g now but he knew he was getting closer.

Natasha stayed put when Tony raised his hand up. Hearing the question about bringing in medicine she sent the nurse to fetch something. She knew Bruce would be better to do it but she didn't know where he was. Gaining the medicine and seeing Loki nod she slowly ventured in.

Tony relaxed a little when Loki agreed to let Natasha in the room without too much of a reaction, he continued to comfort his lover as he waited for the medicine. Reaching out and taking the medicine from her, he examined it to make sure it was relatively safe before carefully bringing it to Loki’s lips. “Take these Lo….they’ll help you feel better.” He promised, waiting for Loki to take the pills. Smiling softly when the medicine was gone, he slowly tucked Loki’s head under his chin. “Why don’t we just stay here for a while hmm? You feel safe in this room right? Do you think you could go to sleep here?” he asked softly. He could move Loki after he fell asleep, but he didn’t think Loki would willingly move while he was awake. As he spoke, he gave Natasha hopeless look, not at all sure of what to do now, of how to handle such a complicated situation.

Natasha continued to slowly approach stopping when Loki glanced up at her the first time. When the god made no other moves and certainly non aggressive moves she continued forward handing the medicine over to Tony. Carefully she crouched before the couple ready to be helpful if needed. She could understand Tony's words about Loki being safe within the room. There was only one entrance which he could watch and defend. He was cornered of course but sometimes being cornered wasn't a bad thing.

Loki looked up as Natasha approached but his brain processed the woman as she was. Natasha wasn't a threat, she was safe. Taking the medicine Tony pressed to his lips, he rested his head against the man again as Tony positioned him. "Yes, easy to defend." Loki stated softly. He was starting to fade again feeling comfortable and safe. Natasha gave Tony a soft understand look. A look that said just give it time. She had no doubt Loki could stay awake with the fever and the concussion. She couldn't understand why he had woken.

Tony gave a soft hum of acknowledgement to the words, he continued to rub his back, rocking him gently. “It’s alright Lo….we’re safe. No one will hurt us. I’m going to be right beside you the whole time you’re asleep.” He promised, repeating it over and over so it might sink in. He knew it was a matter of patience and timing now, but those were never his strong points. It was a relief to have Natasha there, her presence kept him calm, made him remain patient.

Loki hummed when the man continued to soothe him and promise it was alright. "I'll sleep now... Tired..." Loki spoke softly. He was out soon after that going limp in Tony's arms. Loki's skin was still quite warm to the touch but he was definitely not feeling it.

Natasha continued to remain close as Tony soothed Loki and assured the god that they were safe. When the god finally found the blissful unconsciousness she sighed in relief. "Now what Tony?" she questioned she wondered what would happen if the god woke again and he wasn't within the room or somewhere else he recognized. "What happened?" she continued.
