Now he couldn't tell whether the boys were polling his leg, and that would be the saddest joke of all. "Oh, nei..." He went toward the middle of the room to sit, and crossed his arms in his lap. It was a big room. A stark room. One could do a lot of things in here, and the acoustics in the room might have been just accommodating enough that lovemaking could be a very noisy affair. He swallowed a devious laugh. "Nei, nei. He's threatening because I'm weird and you're kids and he strikes me as a very protective hawk of a dad."
"Oh," said Tails, simply. "It's okay. If you did something wrong, either me or Tristen could probably kick your butt."
Jude's ears and most of his features drooped quite suddenly. "You're very honest, aren't you?"

Blizz helped the both of us; though Tails is better than I am though since he's been with Blizz longer than I have, but I'm trying to get better still." Tristen said. Yea, lesson be learned. Don't mess with the kids in this place. It might not end well.

Tails nodded perhaps a little more eagerly than he needed to. "Tristen works harder than I do and he can outwrestle me, but I can still use chi better than a lot of people here."
Jude could believe it. Tristen walked as though his clothes were threadbare, and fire was hot no matter how strong the source happened to be. "In that case, if Tristen's the hard worker, what does Tails-boy do all day?"
Though Jude didn't mean to do it, Tails couldn't help but feel a shock of guilt.

Tristen said simply, rather pridefully at that. "I wouldn't really be here, or work hard like I do if he wasn't there to help me like I want to do for him." Tristen said. "At least, I think that's what brothers do..." he said, looking back at Tails.

"Well, um. Yeah," said Tails. That wasn't quite the angle he expected. Tristen spoke true, but he'd expected a more concrete expose of his escapades. "I do look out for him when we're out on the field, or really working hard together. But most times I kiiiiinda just run around naked outside and play in mud holes."
Jude hunched over laughing, holding his ribs, but it sounded more like a fay giggle. "You silly boy. That's not really something you tell someone you just met."

But, he figured this was Tails being Tails. "So, why have you come all the way out here? Far as I knew, this place isn't easily traveled on." Tristen said. "Especially with all those big Pokemon that are outside."

Jude took a moment to straighten up and compose himself and once he got his breath, his answer was simple: "Shiny things."
"Like that stone you let me have last night?" Tails asked. He really didn't see what was so funny about his habits, but with that look he gleaned from Tristen, he didn't care to ask.
"Yeah. I've heard rumors you guys deal with shiny things sometimes."
"There are the meteorite shards we've been trying to hide from people...wait." Tails rarely serioused the heck up so fast, but he'd seen what those things can do. "You're not after them, are you?"
Jude could sense danger like the official barometer of the danger zone, and knew Tails had gotten the wrong idea. "Oh, nei, neeeii, especially not after I heard horror stories from your friends about those things. And now they're corrupting some poor guy's brothers and I don't want any of that business."
"Oh." All the edge in Tails' voice was gone with that one word.

"This ~/~ bites." Chaos spat as he was gathering some things together in his room.
"What's wrong, Master?" Warbringer asked. That word, that voice, Chaos couldn't help but calm down because of it. Deep down, he was still happy to have found her again.
"...ugh. It's... It's the tension around here. It feels like were coming close to the end of his whole meteorite business. I can feel like the final fight's coming, and I'm charged for it, but I have to sit here and wait until we're all ready. The ~/~, ~/~ waiting."
Warbringer patted her master on the back and went back to helping him gather his things. Despite the way he can be at times, Warbringer had a kind of platonic love for her master.

Keiko sat in her room, holding Stasy in her arms. Aster and Cerberus were standing by the door, and Rita sat next to her mistress, keeping silent.
"I hope we're ready for this," Keiko sighed to herself. "Man, the tension out there is crazy, like we're about to fight some big bad boss or something. I don't know what to do..."
Keiko's right hand found its way to the Luck Incense hanging on her neck and clutched it. "Please... please... I beg you, please don't let anything bad happen to anyone on our side."
"Happiny..." Stasy cooed, causing Keiko to open her eyes and realize that a single tear had reached out and landed on the small pokemon's head. This made her smile, and wipe her eyes. "I know," Keiko sighed. "I have to be strong. I'll never forgive myself if I let anyone down."
With that, she patted Happiny on the head and rose to her feet, recalling all four members of her team before heading out the door.

Krystal lay on the bed, passed out. Whatever she was suffering, her body was fighting it, and that's where her energy went. I, on the other hand, couldn't bring myself to sleep. It wasn't just to try to be here for her in case anything happened in the middle of the night, that was just a perk. No, I couldn't sleep because my mind refused to drift to anything other than the upcoming battle with the Hexagon Bros. Even in here, I could feel the tension from the looming battle.
Krystal was right about me. I'm passionate about what I do, and what I do in Snagem is try to protect the world from those who would abuse it to get gain. To be honest, I was torn. A good boyfriend would stay by his lover's side at this time of adversity, but for good men to do nothing is evil in its own right. My heart was with Krystal, but my mind was at that fight.
I had no idea what to do anymore...

Odd was hobbling through HQ when he happened by Krystal's room. He'd heard from Lykas that Krystal had been sick last night and figured he'd stop to check on her. He knocked on the girl's door and hoped she'd answer. "Krystal? You in there?"

"She's asleep," I whispered.
I stepped out of the door and closed it, so the light outside didn't wake her up and that we could talk without risk of the same.

Odd stepped back a bit when Terashi stepped out of the room. "Ah. I heard she was sick. She feeling any better?" He asked as he adjusted his crutch to keep weight off his bad leg.

I shook my head. "I only just found out she was sick, myself, so I have no idea. I gave her some berry soup - Pecha, Aspear, Sitrus, Yache and Kebla. I figure if it doesn't warm her up inside, it'll take care of any toxins that might be responsible. I'm no doctor, though, so I have no idea if it'll make her better or not."
I sighed then, and leaned against the wall. "I want to stay by her side, but all I can think about anymore is the upcoming fight. I'm not sure what I should do.

Odd gave Ter's problem some thought for a moment before he responded. "Sounds like you need to have a serious bit of soul-searching." He told the other male, though it was hard to tell if he meant it as a good thing or a bad. "Personally, I'd go with what my heart said but it sounds like yours isn't sure just yet." He admitted with a small sigh.
"I'm not being helpful, am I?" He asked after along moment of silence.

"Just confimring what I've been telling myself," I grinned. "Which IS helpful."
I shook my head, that grin still on my face. "Don't worry, I'll figure it out. How are things with you and Lykas?"

Damon walked into the HQ, looking around a bit at first. He didn't know what to do, he had just joined and was probably weak compared to everyone else. He didn't know who to report to. "I guess if i stay here for a while somone would say something.
