"I didn't exactly tell her I was heading out when I did. She was still asleep at the time." Aden answered. "I thought she'd probably expect it like dad did the night before then. But, well..."
He was still thinking on that conversation.
"Hey, um. Sis?"
"I wouldn't have minded being woken up, you know."
"Oh... yeah... I figured you'd have already known. You're not too mad, are you?"
"Oh, no... I'm not mad..."
"Then why am I hearing crashing sounds?"
"I can practice Grass Knot, can't I? You could've easily told me!"
"Look, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just wanted you to know we're doing fine.... wait, are you alone? Dad said he was doing his own travels while Blizz and I were going through the gyms. Thought you'd be trying to find some of the defunct rangers since Albedo's out of the picture."
"Stop changing the subject."
"Uh... right... maybe I should try talking to you when you're a little calmer-"
"Ecruteak."
"Wait, what?"
"You'll be at Ecruteak before long, right?"
"Yeah, probably in about a week or so, why?"
"Oh, no reason~."
Aden gulped before he resumed. "Let's just say she's probably seen better days."

I sweatdropped at Aden. I knew Ceramew was a bit on the compulsive side, but I hadn't the slightest on what went on in his conversation, and part of me probably didn't want to know. "Uhhh-huh." I said.

"Ah, she'll be fine in a few days. Maybe." Aden didn't really want to explain that conversation. "I'll just make sure to be careful in Ecruteak is all."

"Well, there's going to be plenty to do in Ecruteak, whenever we get there that is. It'll be a little while though. Got to head down to Azalea, then Goldenrod first. That alone would be at least a couple of weeks, not counting any unexpected happenings, which would be bound to happen. But thats all part of the excitement to it." I said.

"I wouldn't be surprised." Aden couldn't help wondering what some of those might be, though he did hope it didn't end up with some petty group going up to no good. Oh well, he'd handle whatever would happen regardless. Hopefully. "Either way, that'll be good. I know Nidoran and Mareep could really use the training."

"I'll be back Aden. I want a Coke...want one?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure." Aden nodded. It didn't sound like a bad idea right now, not when a good bit of the day was still open.

I said, walking off out of the room, leaving Aden with his Pokemon once more. Suddenly I was compelled to wonder what exactly went on with Aden and Ceramew over the phone. I have not the slightest why. Another thing I was left to wonder...was she on her way here? "........" I shook my head then continued for the Cokes.

Aden felt grateful that chances are his sister wasn't headed here. He knew she had her moments, but usually they didn't involve going all over the place just to start something."Maybe I should make it up to her when I get to Ecruteak..." He said to himself. "What do you four think?"
Raticate didn't say a word, Nidoran gave a light huff, Mareep just looked clueless, and Poliwhirl opted to be sane and shrugged. "I meant when she's calm, yeesh."

I got a couple of Cokes then made my way off for the room once again. Something crossed my mind as I made my way back. I wondered why originally Aden wanted to go at this alone, rather, head out without really saying much of a word to his father and sister. I mean, I know he wanted to go on his own power, which, nothing wrong with that at all, but yeech. Why didn't I think about this sooner? Ehhhhh...Aden probably had his reasons. As soon as I found my way back I handed a Coke over towards Aden. "Here you go." I said to him, sitting down back in the chair.

"Thanks... is something on your mind?" Aden found himself asking, taking the Coke. Maybe his mind was playing tricks, but the way Blizzard looked, maybe something was up.

I said to him. "Just curious over one thing though. How protective is Ceramew of you? I mean, I know she's virtually a sister to you and all, but...Im just left to wonder right now." I said to him.

"Protective enough that the family was part of what drove her to become a Ranger." Aden answered. "I know she acts it sometimes, but she's actually not that overbearing. Sis is just used to being in the loop most times, without having to rely on reading my mind. So my not doing it this once might've come off as an insult."

She knew that you were going to be out to do this, one way or another." I said to him, getting to drinking my Coke some. "My God, Aden, you're how old now?" I asked.

"I know, and she will. Before I ended the call to sis, I kinda called her out on that."
"No reason?"
"No reason."
"You're not going to go over here, or stay in Ecruteak just because I'll eventually get back there, are you?"
"Why would-"
"I know you about as well as you know me, and it's almost too easy to tell you're upset. I don't think I need to remind you that I know I'll be just fine without you or dad tagging along, especially after the kind of stuff we've been through. I'm beginning to think you're upset less because I didn't say anything and more because you didn't want to be left alone."
".....Um..."
"Besides, I'm gonna keep in contact anyway, so just calm down. Try harder to see if you can find anyone from that old Union or something, dad and I both know you've been wanting to do that for a while."
Click.
Aden shrugged. "I think I might've struck a chord, though. After I called her out on it and told her to calm down, she quietly hung up. Unlike dad, who takes everything as it happens, she's not always so keen." He took another sip. "It makes me wonder if, despite sis being much older than me, she's actually the younger one. Anyway, that's what left me a little on edge when I came back."
