"Yeah, I hope so, too," Keiko frowned, suddenly very worried. Kids? She didn't know of any very young ones in the team. That had her insides in a loop for a sure.

"I bet it is," Keiko sighed. Why did everything have to go so badly?
"I wouldn't worry about them. A few days off and they'll be right as rain," Chaos said off-handedly as he entered the kitchen.
"You really think so?" Keiko asked, her mood brightening visably.
"Would I have said anything otherwise?" Chaos teased. "Sup, Jude?" Chaos added on his way to the fridge.

Jude perked as someone he knew just a little better walked in, and his tail curled about behind him. "Hello, Chaos-guy," he said. "You seem okay, too. What about your Pokemon?"

"War's out of it," Chaos said with a facefull of refridgerator. "My Combusken, that is. She's up and talking, but in no condition to walk, let alone fight. Other than that, no real casualties on my end. Nothing that couldn't be solved by a good night's rest, anyway."
"Do you two know each other?" Keiko asked.
"Not for long," Chaos retorted. "We met shortly before the sortie we just got out of, in fact."

Jude nodded in turn. "I didn't know anyone here. I came around on some rumors my friend Nick passed to me. There are definitely some silly folk about. Some of the kids are a liiiittle more open than they ought to be around strangers." On this lips spread in a grin and anyone that knew a passing thing about Tails knew that this was the kid in question.

"That'd be Birdman's lot, likely," Chaos said absentmindedly, pulling a variety of foodstuffs from the fridge. "The blue one's, that is. Turns out there's a red one, too. Only just met him during our little adventure in the Sevii Islands."
With a shrug, Chaos went to work constructing his meal. "This isn't the kind of place to be raising children, is it?" Keiko asked. "With how dangerous it can be here and all."
"Nah, around HQ, it's not so bad. Just so long as you keep them here. Only an idiot would let a kid roam around, with all the dangers out there and all," Chaos stated. "Jude knows what I'm talking about."

"Ah," said Jude and it was clear he was not so sure. "Blizzard's children tell me these are their stomping grounds. Tails-boy has a pretty keen control with fire, and I get the feeling Tristen could break bones if he wanted to. And one of them even keeps a Muk!" Jude's face lit up as if this were a most frightening detail.

My hand was bandaged up and I reeked of Doc Owl's berry mixture...which was many times worse than having alcohol put on wounds. If anyone was sensitive enough, chi wise, one would notice that I was getting better...well, at least I wasn't tapped like I was during that ordeal.
