Rosalind moved her nervous fingers over his lips, silencing him. "When Mother calls upon us, we will answer, but until that time, let us not cause more to crumble." She looked down, away, repulsed by her lies.

"But..." Rosalind searched for an excuse to disobey. "But you mustn't..." She took a deep breath. "... Because I am in love with him." Rosalind was embarrassed to say such things, but if it might save his life, she was willing to take such risks.

[Well, I can't have you pummeling each other, so. I'm afraid I may have tied poor Ryukai into something he'd have preferred not be involved in, though...] Rosalind had overcome her fear for him, now, and was quite in love. Sadly, she whispered, "Anything?"

Rosalind sighed and thought, bitterly, of how sad it was that he needed be brainwashed to ever feel anything like love for her. [Yes, I know he wasn't brainwashed at the beginning, she's just being pathetic. We have that in common, she and I.] "Thank you," she said, softly. "Is Mother upset at me?"
