Given what Night had just said and Tatsu's look, Amaranth thought it'd be safer to just hand over the gem. She did so without any further hesitation, taking the stuff she was given and getting to work. After putting the reflex hammer down, that is.
Thankfully, she was able to get the tubing wrapped around without much hassle, starting to soak the single cotton ball she had.

"Good," Night said, watching Amaranth as she set out to do as she had asked before turning towards Tatsu with a small bowl to collect the powdered gem and adding a small amount of water to it to make it easier to draw into the syringe. Eventually, Night would turn back towards Sub, injection needle filled with the Dark Gem's liquified powder. After giving the syringe a few light taps and squirting some of the air bubbles from the solution, the hybrid immediately moved to Sub's side. Grabbing the small piece of gauze, Night slowly set about slipping the injection needle into the boy's freshly cleaned skin and pushed the solution slowly into his vein.
Covering the small puncture with the gauze before taping it down to his skin. She emitted a soft sigh before sitting in the nearest chair and shaking her head, "Definitely not a permanent fix, but it's the best we can do for the moment I suppose. Just gotta hope the others make it back with what he needs soon."

"I hope... just one question." Amaranth said, putting the stuff down. "Are you sure this'll actually help any and not make it worse?"

"I'm sure if it would have caused any issues, GRAY would have mentioned it when I first brought up the idea of injecting it directly into his bloodstream. Much as I hate the damn AI, I highly doubt he'd allow me to do anything that'd cause potential harm to Sub," Night said, seemingly confident in the treatment option they had chosen, "Besides, even if he had drunk this stuff, it still would've gotten into his system eventually. This way, it's just a more direct line than having to go through his stomach and intestines while waiting to be absorbed into the body."
Though Night did seem confident that the direct injection would work better than attempting to get Sub to drink it, she still continued watching him while waiting for any signs that he'd react negatively to the treatment, "GRAY, any changes in his chi level yet?"

If anything, I didn't go out to find Sub's medicine, or whatever the heck he needed. I was still a bit in recovery, although, I seem to be coming along just fine; if only a bit still out of it. Hand is still bandaged up for the time being, though I should be able to use it here within the next day or so. In the meantime, I stayed behind to keep an eye on Sub...though it left me wondering if Amaranth and Night had any idea on what in the world they were doing.

Sub was still alive and well for the time being, thanks to the injections Night had been giving him, it managed to hold him over long enough for the others to fetch the Eonseng, but it wouldn't be enough before long. GRAY had noticed that each day his chi levels began to drop, even with the injections. Without Night's help Sub probably would have died yesterday, but he was still alive, barely. "I suppose the perpetually menstruating fox actually did some good." He said aloud, for no particular reason.

Damon had awoken from his long sleep, the Pokeball was still in his hand. After yawning for a while he had decided to get up and stretch out his arms. He felt like he wasnt doing much, and his Pokemon were very weak, he had to go train...somewhere. He got up and just left the HQ, he walked down the hill to the shore and called out Sub's Sharpedo and set off into the sea, no exact idea of where he was going to go.

Since Sub had been in such a way, Ship made it a point of lingering around the headquarters. He'd been to see him once or twice, but Sub was too far away that it might be any good. He'd read the messages from GRAY, so the hope that the Snagems might make good time was good hope indeed.
For now, he skulked the way he had since the end of the meteor incident.

"I suppose the perpetually menstruating fox actually did some good." He said aloud, for no particular reason. "Can you please not bring that up?" Amaranth spoke up, still in the medlab herself. There were some things she just didn't like being reminded of. Despite all the confusion and strange events, the group would eventually return to the HQ, right near the medlab for that matter. If anything was definite, they weren't empty handed; not only did they have what they were looking for, but they had someone else too. Noticing the chi levels, Sol and Cera both weren't too happy about that. "I've a feeling we had less time than I thought." He spoke up. "Anyone mind grinding that root now? I'll see about getting some water for the mixture." Running off to get a glass of water, he hoped that the root would be ready by the time he got back. "Um, yeah, sure... if I knew how to crush a root." Cera was ready to try all the same, too worried about Sub to care if she really knew how or not.

When Warbringer and I returned to HQ, things escalated quicker than expected. Reason? Chaos was waiting for us, in plain sight, when we manifested in the main lobby.
"Look what we have here," Chaos said, his face an undecipherable look of mixed malice and apathy.
"Master, I can expl-" War started.
"Heard that before," Chaos started. "Didn't end well then."
"You know Sub's sick, right? Pushed himself too hard in the mission against the Stone Society?" I asked.
"Yeah, I was there," Chaos pointed out.
"I left to go look for an herb GRAY mentioned that could help Sub recovered. Warbringer ASKED to come with me," I told him.
Chaos's head jerked in Warbringer's direction, which startled her a bit. "I knew you wouldn't come, so-"
"Exactly how is that?" Chaos interrupted her a second time.
"The island that the plants we needed were on was near Hoenn..." she explained, her enthusiasm waning with every word.
Chaos sighed, threw his hands up into the air, rolled his eyes, and stood up. "TELL ME next time. BEFOREHAND. Alright? I don't mind you going off on your own as long as I know where you are in case ~/~ happens and you get hurt."
"Yes, master..." Warbringer agreed weakly.
Chaos turned his head as though to say something to me, then decided against it and walked away, headed upstairs. "Is it just me or does he sound like a worried parent?" I asked, a trait I hardly expected from the psychopath.
That got a giggle out of Warbringer, but she excused herself afterward, following her 'master' upstairs.
I sighed, glad to be done with the ordeal, and took a seat on one of the many couches of the main lobby, knowing that some of the others had the herb and were probably already tending to Sub.
The waiting game proceeded.

Crystal wound up popping in with Sol and Cera when they returned, immediately looking for something to grind up the Eonseng root. "Alright, need a mortar and pestle.... Cera, do you happen to know where to find one?"

Needless to say, she was surprised. "Huh? Ammy, how'd...""I found them with this weird hammer thingy that can't crush anything. I thought you might want to see them." Amaranth said. "Um... thanks...?" Figuring to find out what went on later, she took the mortal and pestle and floated over to Crystal. "Will these work?"

"These will be perfect, thank you!" She found herself a table to sit at taking out a swiss army knife and using it to cut up the root some, to make it easier to grind up. Once that was done, she put the root in it and began to grind it up. In a little bit, the root was pretty finely ground up. "It's ready, now."

Damon had made it very far on the back of the Sharpedo. Over the horizon Damon saw an island, it seemed...medium sized to some extent, it seemed to have one huge mountain surrounded by what seemed to be a forest. Damon had reached the island and called back in the borrowed Sharpedo and advanced into the island. He saw a few grass type Pokemon along the way into the island, he hadnt ever been here before so he decided to take a look around.

It'd be by this time that Sol would return, a glass of water and spoon in hand and seeing the results of the root. "That was... quick." He said, pleasantly surprised. "Thanks." He was quick to take the root's remains, using the spoon to mix the powder into the water.
As soon as he was done, he'd hand it over to Cera. "Make sure he gets this. Amaranth, you might want to come over here." He watched as Amaranth walked over, only for Cera to take the glass.
"Um, right..." Much as she wanted to drink it herself, the scent of the root powder still pleasing to her, she knew she really couldn't. Carefully, she floated over to where Sub was, seeing he was unconscious. "This better help..." She said, gulping and slowly pouring the mixture into his mouth. She'd make sure to lift Sub a little, enough to keep out any chance of his choking.
It took some doing, but she was able to get the glass drained with as little worry of causing more harm to him in the process. Floating back afterward, she sighed. "Guess all that's left is to wait..."
