[The Madame Red]

After a few hours of love making, Oscar had managed to get them in the back where he held her after. He was reluctant to move as a proud smile rested on his lips. He could hardly remember the last time he had this much sex. It was basically on a nightly schedule and..well, that was the best part of being married to Emma. Oscar held Emma comfortably in his arms as he nuzzled his face into her neck before he had them back in the passenger seat to get them back tot he castle.

It was almost dawn when they returned and entered the castle. Most of the others were asleep, only a few had remained up to see the royal couple return. Oscar guided them to their bedroom to sleep the rest of the day.





Anya woke slowly, not wanting to leave Conrad's muscular arms. No matter what trial and trouble they went through it always seemed that nothing could tear them up. It gave Anya much security to know she was always safe in his grasp.

Alexei was already looking around the library in the early evening hours. He could hear the pidder-padder of his twin sister's feet on the ground. They were already around the preschool body-age and were looking for trouble. Alexei hunted down their tracks until he found them, hand-in-hand, looking up at their mother's amber room. The room was full of amber embroidered objects that were the art of the court. Amber-covered jewels, clothes, pottery, painting, anything, and Celia and Luna were whispering to each other before nodding.

He watched closely as Luna climbed onto Celia's shoulders, opening the door, and teetered in. Alexei could already hear their mother's and father's scolding for going in without an adult. As his big-brother role, Alexei quickly went into the room to see Celia already taking a huge necklace as Luna attempted to grab a pot.

"You can't be in here!" Alexei whispered as he rushed to stop Luna, only to watch her knock over the pot.

After the initial sound of the pot crashing to a thousand tiny pieces, Luna's face crumbled and began to cry loudly. Alexei went over to calm his sister as Celia, in her bejeweled attire, walked over and whispered into Luna's ear. Luna only cried louder, Alexei tried to make her move but she just stood where she was and cried louder. He picked her up and grabbed Celia's hand, making them leave the room with him so they wouldn't get in trouble.

Emma enjoyed all the attention Oscar was giving her. The proud smile he shone at her made her heart melt and caused her to fall even more deeply in love with her mate.

When they returned to the castle holding each other's hand as he guided them to their bed but Emma couldn't sleep. She was so happy, so relieved. A timid knock sounded, had Emma not been awake she'd have missed it, Gently, carefully, she untangled from Oscar and answered the door. A large. . . very large group of Lycan women still awake smiled at her expectantly. "High Alpha. . ." One whispered. "We heard you plan on trying for pups." All nodded and Emma smiled in reply. "Please, let us pray for you and do a ritual for fertility!" Emma nodded wanting to be accepted as part of the lycan family and let the women hurry her away to the garden. Beautiful spring colours shone around her as she let them strip her and sing and dance and paint her with symbols. She wondered absently why the packs didn't do this when she and Liam were together then realized her was ashamed of her so probably didn't let it happen.

Once completed they whisked her back to her room and closed the door. All of them waited outside the room to hear if the symbols would help aid in attraction. Though they knew all Emma had to do was smile for Oscar to want her.


Conrad woke instantly at the sound of the crash. His eyes darted around in the dark then he heard one of the twins crying. "The girls!" He gasped rushing out of bed dragging the sheet with him flying to the spot gathering all three children in his arms hugging them close not sure which one was crying so comforted them all.

Anya sat up slightly when she felt Conrad rush off to their children. She had told them about a hundred times to stay out of the amber room, it was her most precious room of all. Her ladies came into the room to help her dress and primped her hair. One placed her crown on her head before Anya rose from her seat. She went straight to her war room to continue planning her defenses. Though she was not anticipating a war, it was always good to be prepared nonetheless.

"M'lady," one of her ladies spoke once they reached the war-room, "Your sister has asked for your attendance later this evening to her quarters. She says there is a gift waiting for you."

"A gift?" Anya raised a brow, "I haven't celebrated my birth-day in centuries, but I suppose Katya has another trick up her sleeve to surprise me. Ask her to instead join me in the war room later. There is much work to be done."




Alexei heard his sisters sigh in content once in their father's arms. He felt uncomfortable being held by his half-naked father. Especially since he was at the point of growth and maturity as an older kid around a middle-school age. Alexei squirmed out of his father's arms and dusted himself off, "Luna accidentally broke one of mother's vases. It was just an accident and she didn't get hurt."

"No!" Celia spoke up, grasping Luna's hand and pointed at Alexei, "Alxy did it! Luna was wit' me!"




Oscar barely woke from his short nap to see Emma covered in some type of aphrodisiac-scented paint. It didn't take him long to become aroused as he pulled her back to him. He rolled them to where she was on top as he pulled the sheets over them. Oscar pulled her neck down gently before kissing her softly, deepening the kiss every few seconds before he had his arms wrapped around her to keep her body pressed against his own so they could make a more passionate love together.

Conrad frowned at Celia. "Ladies do not fib." He scolded pressing a kiss to Luna's head. "Are you alright my little moon?" He asked. "I'll make sure mummy isn't too mad over it. But she will be cross when she finds out you lied Celia," He turned to Alexei. "You're a good brother son, and if you don't want your mother telling who you can and can't marry let me know. Now you two," He picked them up the sheet secured. "Are coming to see mummy. I'm sure the punishment will be harsher on Celia because she tried to blame your brother. But, we must learn from this. Mummy tells us not to go places for a reason." He smiled nuzzling both girl's cheeks.

Emma was nervous at first. She didn't know how to act but Oscar seemed pleased though still half asleep. She didn't want to wake him but, he appeared to wake himself in all aspects as he pulled her to him covering them in the sheets. She kissed him back when he kissed her, a smile lighting her lips a little. She broke the kiss to whisper softly, "You can take a mouthful. any more and I'll start to feel dizzy."

Anya was talking with her general when Conrad had walked into the war room with only their sheet tied around his waist and their twins in his arms. There was an awkward look shared between the people in the military as they turned their gaze away. It took a lot from Anya not to blush at Conrad's always tasteful physique, but did her best as she approached her husband. He explained how the twins went into the Amber room and how Celia tried to blame a broken vase on Alexei when it was really Luna.

A look of concern formed in Anya's eyes as she bent over to be at eye-level with her daughters, "The reason I don't want you two in there is because you could get hurt. What if the vase broke on Luna and really hurt her, Celia? And Celia, I am very disappointed that you would lie. No sweet blood for either of you tonight, and Celia, you will help the maids with their chores today for lying."

Celia and Luna looked to the ground as they nodded their heads, the head maid came to have Celia help out as the nanny went to take Luna to her studies. Anya looked to Conrad, trying to hide the smile on her face, "As good as you look in our sheets, you really ought to wear clothes, my love."




"I don't want your blood," Oscar managed to say between kisses with her, "I just want you."

He pinned her beneath him, gazing down at her. A look of love was written all over his face. It still felt like a dream come true to be married to such a perfect woman. Oscar held a smile as he pressed himself against her, ready to make sweet love with his wife.

Conrad straightened still keeping the sheet around him. "I know this darling but when one of our children cries I dash to the rescue even if I'm not dressed in a proper manor. But I will take my leave." He pressed a kiss to her cheek then returned to their room to get changed and spend time with his son.


Emma blushed. "I want you too." She whispered back between the kisses keeping him close. "But, I love you most of all." She moved herself a little making sure he knew that she would submit to him like this. Never did she submit to Liam, always fighting for control, but with Oscar, she loved being the submissive. Adored it. Especially when he was gentle. She smiled back echoing the look of love he was giving her. A whole month with just him, nothing but the two of them being one. She just hoped that Nyssa could handle the Lycans and the Vampires. Oh well the girl seemed like she could manage.

Alexei waited outside his father's room until his father emerged. A smile formed on his face as he looked up at him, "What do you want to do today, Father?"

He couldn't wait to be big like his dad. His dad seemed to get people to do what he wanted without even having to say a word. Plus, he remembered when his father was the high king instead of his mother now being high queen. Alexei could only hope he would be like his father with the people and like his mother with her humbleness.




"Anya~" Katya purred as she entered and the military people left the war room, "I have a surprise for you~"

Anya seemed confused as she stood on the opposite end of the table, "You don't need to give me gifts, sister.."

"This is a gift I knew you would really like," Katya smiled brightly, "You have a new courtier that has traveled all the way from Rome to see you. He's one of the originals and has taken quite an interest in your over-night popularity. I know you've heard of him. Leonardo de Carvello."

An instant blush tinted Anya's cheeks. Everyone knew who Leonardo de Carvello was and the fame that came with him. As one of the originals, he was there in the very beginning of their kind and how he aided the lycan rebellion when lycans were originally enslaved by vampires. He denied any crown, and to have him in Anya's court was...odd. She had thought that he, of all people, would be angry with her part on killing off 90% of the lycan race. Anya shook the blush from her cheeks as she spoke, "He can't be here, I mean he's... He's Leonardo! If anything he should be in Emma's court!"

"M'lady, Queen Anya," a voice rich in the handsome Italian accent spoke.

Katya opened the door, having Leonardo emerge into the dimly lit room. Anya, on instinct, fell to a deep curtsy. She closed her eyes tightly, "Leonardo... It is with great honor to have you in my court!"

"Mi amore," Leonardo purred as he tilted her chin up to look up at him, "I have watched you from afar, and I have traveled far to see you in person. Please, do not bow to me."





After the love making, Oscar held Emma until the moon slowly rose. He did not want to leave the bed anymore. It seemed like they wouldn't be traveling far for a honeymoon. Then again, as long as they could be together it would be a better honeymoon than he would ever get. Oscar kissed Emma's ear softly before whispering, "What would you like to do together tonight, love? Picnic under the stars? Play fighting in the mud and wash each other off in a river? Take the children on an adventure?"

Conrad smiled. "I was thinking I'd teach you how to ride." Conrad suggested. "Spend some time just you and me no attendants or anything just father and son." He ruffled the boys hair.

"Did you hear? Leonardo is here!" One of the ladies gushed. Conrad sighed. Oh yes he remembered the b*****d fourth cousin of his. One of his only original family alive. Of course sooner or later he'd come looking for Conrad's mother Contessa. He supposed news of her demise hadn't reached his womanizing ears. . . Anya. . . That bloody Katya! If she tried to get Anya to leave him. . . He felt his fangs grow in his mouth and hid them form his son. That man had a heart beat too. . . He had to get his son away from that cur and teach the boy about respect, and that his mother was setting him up to be miserable if the girls she lined up didn't make his heart beat.


Emma blushed softly and held him back a smiled on her face. She could tell, he was hooked on her and didn't want to leave. She shivered at the kiss to her ear. "Hmm, how about, a picnic with the kids, and then a play fight in the mud near the crystal waterfall when they go to studies?"
A knock sounded on the door. "My lady Emma?" Nyssa's voice sounded. "Can you come help? Scarlette's throwing a tantrum!"
Emma sighed rolling her eyes. "Who touched Nickolas and why aren't they giving it back to her?"
Nyssa at first didn't say anything. "I don't know, all I know is their father wanted to spend time with them, then Nickolas was gone and Scarlette was screaming blue murder, I have a feeling she's shifted forms too. I'm scared Liam might kill her." Emma's eyes went black as she rose from the bed and shoved some of Oscar's clothes on. "Come on love. Let's fix this before I lose my mind."

"Please, a tour of your lovely home would be lovely," Leonardo took Anya's arm as he led her out of the war room, then realized the wedding ring on her finger, "You are married, mi amore?"

"Yes, i'm married to King Conrad," Anya smiled, mostly to remind herself that she was a happily married woman.

"They've been fighting a lot lately," Katya smiled as she maneuvered herself in front of her sister and the drop-dead gorgeous man, "He's quite a brute that doesn't know how to treat a lady."

"Ah, my cousin has a ferocious temper," Leonardo grazed Anya's cheek, his breath lingering against her lips, "My apologies if he hasn't-"

"Conrad is a good man," Anya spoke up, "Come, that tour."

Katya smiled as she watched Leonardo follow her sister like a loyal dog. She knew he would be visiting Emma's court soon if he couldn't get into her sister's bed.





"Why would Liam kill his own kid?" Oscar asked as he pulled on his clothes as fast he could.

Once they left the room, Oscar found that Liam and Isolde were in the foyer. Neither of them had the doll he had given Scar. He scented out his childhood toy inside one of the vases that Emma had kept after Conrad had been escorted out. Oscar took out the doll and handed it to Emma, "Well, here's Nikolas. Maybe that will soothe Scar so she can go hang out with her father and his mate for awhile."

Emma smiled kindly to everyone who saw them and pressed a kiss to her mate's cheek. "Wonderful! She can start breathing again-"

"Ma~um!!!!" Sebastian called running past followed by a copper coloured wolf pup. "Tell Scarlette to stop biting me!" They raced large circles around Emma and Oscar and Emma sighed rubbing her nose then after counting to five grabbed Scarlette by the scruff of her neck and growled, eyes red. "Enough Scarlette you are not a child! Stop acting like one!" She hissed. "And you will change back, now." Scarlette whimpered and did as she was told. "Apologise to your brother and you can have Nickolas back." Scarlette stared at her mother for a long moment before turning to her brother and apologized. Both siblings hugged then Emma returned the doll to Scarlette.

"That's it my boy!" Conrad purred with a smile. "Keep your feet in line with your hips and move with the horse!" He smiled with pride as Alexei picked up riding like he was born to do it. A born warrior. When he noticed Anya arriving he went to her and pulled her close. "Hello my love," He purred with a smirk then kissed her deeply. "I'm teaching our son to ride a horse, he's doing well no?"

"A woman of good stock," Leonardo boasted as he put his hands in his pockets, "You've done well, cousin. I'm quite envious, I cannot help but fall in love with this phoenix you've married."

Anya felt Leonardo's eyes on her as Conrad held her. She never felt such..invasive eyes on her besides Conrad's. Some females felt empowered to have two men like that, but it was certainly not her style. Anya smiled towards Leonardo as she held Conrad, "My son and daughters are very beautiful. I am trying to find the perfect girl for my son to marry in order to bring good stock into our home."

"Careful, mi amore," Leonardo suavely brought Anya out of Conrad's grasp, "True love can be found outside an unhappy marriage."

His original heart always had a beat, but he knew his cousin's heart only beat for his true love. Leonardo had Anya place her hand against his beating heart, her eyes widened in surprise. Hook, line, and sinker. Women always fell for such a simple trick. He looked up at Conrad with a smile, "I'll leave the husband and wife to speak to each other in private. Your court is big enough for me to be lost for awhile. Perhaps you shall find me again, mi amore."

Leonardo kissed Anya's hands before going back inside. Anya, lost in her thoughts, was reawoken when she heard the sound of hooves. She turned and saw Alexei happily riding a horse. Her eyes then went to Conrad, "I'm happy you're bonding well with him."





"Am I going to be spending time with my children tonight?" Liam called up to Emma.

"Liam!" Isolde growled as she elbowed him, her swollen belly getting bigger, "He's just tired, my pregnancy with the triplets have him on edge."

"I'd like to have all five of my kids as one big, happy family," Liam added as he put an arm around Isolde, "If given the chance sometime soon."

"You kinda make it hard on yourself, mutt," Oscar called down, receiving two glares from both Liam and Isolde, "Just saying."

He turned to the twins, "How about giving your mother and I a little break for now and spend some time with your dad and Isolde? If you don't care for him, at least pay attention to his mate. She is the one that's making more an attempt and carrying your new siblings."

Sebastian sighed and tugged Scarlette with him to Isolde keeping the pregnant female between them and their father.

Emma's eye twitched but she smiled pleasantly. "Careful with that facial expression Liam your face might freeze that way and frighten your infants. Come Oscar, we have stars to ogle while he has. . . whatever it is he has to do, to do. I'll pick you two up later." She said. "Be good." She added taking Oscar's hand with a smile. She tugged him along and took three steps before she felt her stomach roll. Her body swayed and her vision swam for a moment and at first she thought she was still weak from Oscar's feasting, but that all too familiar gut tugging pull hit her belly and she dropped Oscar's hand and made a bee line, jaw clenched tight eyes bulging a little, for the nearest bathroom before giving an offering to the porcelain god.


Conrad growled. "Of course it can." He hissed. "Since it was you who broke up the Italian royal family!" He called after his cousin and kept his Anya close. "Why is he here?" He growled. "I thought he was busy screwing all the women in Italy while taring apart the bondings of made vampire couples. . ." He sneered at his cousins back. Yes, he was worried Katya was going to split them up. But he knew he'd do it by killing Katya.

"What is wrong with you!?" Anya looked up at Conrad in disbelief, "Leonardo is famous for his generosity and his guidance with people. All the made couples in Italy are still together, he's a man of morals like you."

Anya still gave Conrad a tight hug before smiling, "Be nice, Katya invited him so i'm sure she will be taking him as her lover. I am quite happy with the husband I have and the family we've created. There's no need for your temper to come out, my love."

"Mother, did you see?" Alexei had the horse gallop to his parents, "Did you see?"

"We saw, Alexei," Anya smiled to herself, still holding Conrad, "Your parents are so proud of you."


Katya smashed an amber glass against the wall besides Leonardo's head, "What do you mean Conrad is in the way!? Single the oaf out and get in her head! You want the most powerful vampire queen as your lover, get up in her head, remind her who almost had her killed and who will be promising her eternal pleasure. Do as I say or so help me I will remind the court exactly who you courted and had killed."

"Si, si!" Leonardo dabbed the sweat from his forehead, "Your sister is lovely, and I can only imagine my niece is just as lovely, but matters of the heart take time. I must sincerely wait until my cousin is gone from the court before I make my moves. A lonely wife is easier to persuade than one who is happy in her husband's arms."

"Fine," Katya snapped, "I give you three days to figure something out. If you haven't gotten a plan going by then, I will let the courts know how slandered your name really is."





"Emma?" Oscar followed Emma to the bathroom, but his eyes filled with delight, "By the maker you are pregnant with my child! It's about time! We've been screwing like in heat animals since our relationship started!"

He went to Emma's side, pulling her hair back as she vomited up more of her morning sickness. All the while, Oscar cooed about naming the child if they were boy or girl. He also placed kisses on the back of Emma's head, "I hope my daughter turns out like you, or my son turns out like me, bold, suave, and handsome."

"You don't know him like I do Anya." He whispered kissing her hair. "He didn't have a good day until he could bed forty women. Before lunch time. I'm sorry but he's family and I know my family."


Emma ignored Oscar's voice for the time she was being sick. "Would you be quiet!" She snapped looking horribly miserable. "I wasn't sick last time I was carrying your baby this might be something else."

"You're right on one thing, he is still family," Anya pinched Conrad's chin gently, "We forgive our family because we share the same blood. I must tend to business, my love. Please play with our son more and I shall see you soon. Perhaps we can continue the fun we had last night."

"Mother..." Alexei grumbled, causing Anya to kiss Conrad's cheek.

"Be happy that your parents love each other," Anya smiled before heading back inside.

"So what do you think?" Katya snatched Anya's arm, "Isn't Leonardo charming like what the rumors say? I bet he's a lot more too, if you know what I mean."

"He seems very nice," Anya managed to say, "I am sure he will enjoy his stay at my court."

"Oh Anya, honestly," Katya whispered into her sister's ear, "Just enjoy a night or two with him and you'll see what you're missing out on. Tell you what, I will set you and him up for a private hunt tonight. At least go for me and tell me you aren't in love with him."

"I can't betray Conrad like that," Anya looked at Katya with shock, "It'd kill him and what would I tell my children?"

"That you care for their father like a friend but fell in love with Leonardo," Katya playfully spun around before disappearing.





"It has to be true," Oscar mewed in his own dream-like state, "I can only imagine how more beautiful you'd like carrying my first of many babies. Maybe you could carry quadruplets, more maybe sextuplets! The more the merrier! It has been quite capable before, why not now?"

Oscar seemed too much enthusiastic about Emma having more than just one of his children, but he knew it was too farfetched. Plus, he didn't want to put her other kids out since he considered them his own as well. He still held her hair back before another wave of vomit came up, "I can only imagine how many you could carry since you had twins before. Sextuplets isn't too much to hope for."
