Today the Dog that my mother had through her fight with Cancer passed away. It was stung by an insect right on the neck, and lost the abilities to breath. I'm not as crushed as my mother is, because the Dog never did connect with me. I just feel bad that I was asleep upstairs, and I had no idea the Dog was in trouble; nothing I could have done, though. She was at the door apparently when it happened, and so I guess she was waiting for my mother.

Terrible thing to happen, but at the same time I know if I did wake up; I'd have freaked out because my mother left the house, and we're so far out of town. She died hopefully in a peaceful way, because I don't like to think of her having any major pain. Despite not being the biggest lover of her, because she did have a habit of ignoring me.

What would you do if we woke up and the whole world was gone?...

Gah. I'm not looking forward to this trip with my dad that I leave on today. In a few hours in fact. I've gotta go on a trip with him that'll take almost a week. I'll be back on Monday hopefully.

So tired. But I want to stay online for as long as I can before I won't have it until we stop late tonight.

Ok I need to vent. Well the other day I found a praying mantis based forum that actually looked halfway decent and decided to join. It didn't seem the most active but it looked like it might be fun. So I made a couple of posts replying to some threads and the next thing I know I'm getting a pm from the amid stating-



I also believe he deleted one of my posts. Well this confused me since I didn't remember reading anywhere on the site that you have to post in the intro forums before posting elsewhere. Personally I join so many forums and the intro threads are often rather blah not to mention dead, so I don't always post in them. The intro thread announcement itself stated don't feel obligated to post in it.

Meanwhile I posted in the intro forums. Then the next thing I know is I get this pm back-



Of course the first thing I thought when I read that was- Oh you mean like it is common courtsey not to hassel someone who doesn't post an intro in a forum that says don't feel obligated too?

I think I'm just going to pull out of the forum. If this was just a user it wouldn't bother me, but being this is the main Amid I doubt I'm going to be welcomed into the group at this point. Sorry but The Mantis Queen doesn't kiss anyone's a**. cool

I feel good about myself. This lady walked into the hotel, desperate for a room. She was from out of town and she had no money, no credit cards, nothing. It's pouring rain and the seasons are changing so it's cold and she had no where to go. First I tried getting her in to a room, but my manager said that I wasn't allowed to let anyone into a room without a credit card, so I spent about 45 minutes trying to brainstorm with her and I finally found an emergency shelter and had my shuttle driver take her down to it. I did my good deed for today, I'm so proud of myself! ^_^

On a less than happy note, another employee put in her notice today. After a week there will only be 2 front desk employees and I'm the only one who works full time. It's gonna get pretty hairy here.... confused

I got a job at Starbucks and begin next week. Fun place to work, and they pay well and have good benefits.

Aw man that sucks. Insurance is annoying. I have to pay 750 a year, but I already saved up twice that so I dont have to worry about it for awhile. Unless my car decides to break. sweatdrop
