hmmm...How to write this.....So, from what I know, it seems like Islam and Christianity are sort of...brother religions. It seems like this because Abraham had two sons, from one came Judaism and Christianity and from the other, the Bible does not say. It only says that from the other son, God would create another line. It seems from what I know so far that Islam is this line. So...what do you think? What are your beliefs regarding the three religions? The reason I'm asking is because I hear a lot of people in the Christian community go on and on about Judaism and Christianity, but then they condemn Islam and....things. confused

Imam usually refers to an Islamic leader such as one who heads a mosque. Some Imam's may also do pastoral work such as in hospitals. However, the term Imam is a higher order term that can mean a leader of many aspects of Islamic life.
Cleric is a broad term used in place of the word "priest" since the word priest is not an appropriate word in Islam. The cleric is a religious leader pertaining specifically to the faith.
Mullah is a term used in Turkey, central Asia and Iran commonly used to denote a local Islamic religious leader such as one who heads a Mosque. It comes from the word mawla which also means Vicar and gaurdian but in some places the term may be used as a derogatory one to mean a fanatic.
So it really depends on where and when you are using each of these words and in what context.
Hope this helps Source(s):
