Hot Springs

[Ruki XXIII]

"I do enjoy water, but I'm not a very good swimmer..." Luke admitted. "But the real reason I'm not completely in the water right now is that it's simply too hot for a cold-blooded creature like me. Sitting right here with just my hand in the water is very comfortable, though."

ah, well the little spring there isnt as hot as this one here. It is like that for little kids, so it is also shallow too.
-points over to a small spring next to the big one-

"Yeah, the water is pretty hot. That's why I'm staying away. It felt like the water bit me or something when I fell in.... Oh quit laughing Byakko. I only fell in because I was looking for you." Pouting while looking at the tiger splashing in the water.

Luke nodded. "Thank you, if I decided I want to move, I'll go in there." He paused, then laughed a bit. "Imagine what would happen if a kid showed up while I was in there!"  

[sweetiejks]

-thought about it, then laughed-
That would be funny to see.

-sees byakko splashing around, so pheonix splashes the tigger-

Byakko looked over at Pheonix and slammed one of its big paws back to splash Pheonix back. Half the water that was splashed ended up hitting Nya, who jumped to her fet right away. "Byakko you big kitten, you did that on purpose! I'm gonna getcha for that!" She took her gloves off and dropped them on the ground, took a few steps back, then ran and jumped in the water at Byakko. Byakko responded by playfully jumping at Nya like she was a tiger play fighting with him.

Luke scooted back as best and quickly as he could, not wanting to get splashed. He decided that now would be a good time to head to the kiddy pool.

-pheonix now wet, laughed, then splashed at both Nya and Byakko-
This is fun.

Nya laughed and splashed Pheonix back. "This is fun. I'm glad Byakko splashed me after all, other wise I couldn't have played in the water."

Yep, he got you to come in the water. -Laughs at how wet the two cats were, and splashes them again-

Luke just barely managed to coil his entire body into the smaller pool without any of it spilling over the edge. It was very comfortable, and he thought that, if he wasn't careful, he could quite easily drift off to sleep.

Nya had started getting out, so half way out she turned around and splashed Pheonix back. She pulled herself out and shook most of the water off. She suddenly saw something move and jumped on it, catching it in her hands. "Uwah! I found a little light bug!"

You caught a what? -looking puzzled-

-then looks at Luke-
Hey does that spring feel good?

Luke nodded slightly, eyes sliding closed. "Very comfortable, yes..."

She looked over to Pheonix and stood up, with her prize cupped in her hands. She looked down at her hands, grinned, then opened her hands to let a fire fly out. "See, light bug."
