Many years had passed and the dark god had slept. Deep beneath the temple he had coiled up and his eyes had closed and yet still his presence could be felt, a dark and watchful force that enveloped the deep caverns and the twisted forest surrounding it. His dark angelic children checked on him quietly, slipping through the shadows to watch the even rise and fall of his breath and return back to tell the family and followers that Malum still slept. And so they waited. Until finally - Malum shifted. The temple trembled and the stink of blood grew stronger. His eyes opened and his tail uncurled. There was no mistaking the darkness that spread through the caves, the stifling, oppressing presence of something great and terrible. The Demon God had awoken.

Aisenma hadn't stayed as quiet as her God and mate. But she didn't venture far from his side either. Not out of fear for something g harming him, that would have been incredibly stupid, just because she enjoyed his quiet warmth. She could often be found wound up around him, when not hunting the temples forest. Her children came and went and life was quiet. But she could feel him stirring. Long before his muscles ever did. She gathered in those days, preparing for his awakening. Carcasses and bones ined the temple in some manic ritual summoning. Bringing in more and more death, until the forest lie dead quiet as Malum, the Demon God awoke. As if she had summoned him from his sleep, she manifested from the dark before her mate, and a strange softening to her face occurred. A smile brought her eyes a glow, burning embers of red and blue. "Malum! MALUM!" Aisenma lept at the demon God. Teeth flashing as she wrapped herself around him, sinking her teeth into the fur of his neck in a frenzied, needy, urgent, embrace.

The last remnants of his long sleep were still being shed as Malum slowly uncoiled and began to rise. He was aware, in a deeply visceral way, of Aisenma’s closeness. He could smell and feel all that she had left while he rested, the tenderly left carcasses, scattered bones and blood both fresh and old. In one sharp breath he could smell it all, could feel the way the temple welcomed him back. But that all paled in comparison to the demon herself. As she wrapped around him, he instinctively pulled one arm around her waist with an almost violent squeeze, rocking back on his heels and burying his face in her hair. He was hungry, in all sorts of ways. Malum growled deep and low, a rumbling that echoed throughout the caverns of their home. “You missed me.” It wasn’t a question, just a statement. Because of course she had. He had missed her too, in his own way. Even as he had slept, there had still been a part of him watching and yearning. Now he was free, returned to full power and ready to indulge in all that had been denied him as he dreamed.

Aisenma's words were mere whispers; guttural as she spoke. She hadn't needed to use her voice in years. It was dark and silky with its long un-use. She nuzzled gently into Malum's ear, as he pulled her roughly into him. Her long razor sharp nails, running through Malum's fur with a certain tenderness she reserved only for him and her children. "It's been quiet without you my love." As she pressed into his body, her nails continued to run through his fur, grooming him tenderly. She took care to remove any knots without sheering him clean of fur. It wasn't an easy task. Her claws usually only knew death. But she enjoyed these tender moments. "The children should be her shortly. They will have felt your awakening... " She let the words trail off as she closed her eyes and just rested her head on Malum's shoulder, taking in his warm scent, feeling his muscles sliding beneath his skin. She had missed this. Her claws made their way to his long white hair and she began to braid a small section. Her own white hair, which was now more dreads then single strands, fell over Malum's shoulder as she rested her head. She had braided in small trinkets, bones, and offerings to past the time. And as she finished his braid she added a small bird skull. "What shall we do now that you are awake my love? What terror shall we rain in your name?"

The Children are Returning
All four children seemed to lift thier heads at the same time. They were all scattered to the different corners across the realms. But each turned towards thier fathers' location and dismissed thier current tasks as if nothing mattered more. The boys seemed to dissolve into the darkness about them, where the girls, took to the air. They would be back to the temple soon.

Malum was in no hurry. For now he was content to simply sit with Aisenma in his arms, to feel her claws moving through his fur and hair, sometimes just that little bit too sharp but the bite of her claw was a welcome one. That little p***k of pain that reminded him that he was awake and he was here. This was as contented as he would ever be, freshly woken and reunited, his children on their way, knowing that if he so desired, he could make the whole world scream.
He hummed, a deep rumbling sound, oddly thoughtful for a mad god. What terror would he rain? He could build an army, perhaps. Send them forth to bring death to all who were in their path. A march of death. Or maybe he would call all his demons to him and have them fight each other, to prove their strength and amuse him with their struggles.
But Malum did not speak of these possibilities. Instead he nuzzled his nose into Aisenma’s shoulder and bit down, as gently as a demon god could. They had time before the children arrived and he intended to use every last second.

Of the other four children, they too felt the awakening immediately. Satsu was the closest. She hadn’t left the temple grounds since her father had fallen asleep and as felt his presence, she stopped mid hunt, her eyes going wide. Malum was awake! With a delighted hiss, she turned and ran, bolting for home. The other three were further afield, each one turning towards the temple, fading into darkness and slipping through the shadows to reach where they had been born as soon as possible. It was time to welcome their father back to the waking world.

Aisenma growled. It had been years. Yes, she slept next to him. Yes, she always groomed him. Yes, he hadn't really left. But she hadn't been held in years. Her eyes narrowed as her adrenaline spiked. His teeth brought a shiver down her spine and her tail wiped around, slamming into the ground and getting stuck as the shiver made her toes curl. She sunk her nails deep into his back as she leaned her face towards his. "Oh my lord...." her words were teasing. A play to his title and a moan to her god. Her tongue along the bottom of his ear before she took a gentle bite. Tasting his blood, made her eyes roll back ever so slightly and tore another shiver down her skin, ripping her tail spikes free of the ground.

It had been far too long since he had indulged in one of his favourite pastimes. Bringing pain and suffering would be next on the list but for now, there was only Aisenma. Malum held her close, full of the undying desire that had followed him from mortal into godhood, and bore them down into the dark, where they would not be disturbed. The children could wait. [Tactical fade to black!] Meanwhile Satsu had just arrived in the caverns, scampering as fast as her feet could carry her. But before she could entire the labyrinth that led down to Malum’s sleeping chamber, Eminor arrived, popping into existence beside her and grabbing her by the hair. “WHOA THERE! I know you have a weird dad complex but I’d suggest you stay out of this one.” He held her up by her hair as she struggled and hissed violently. “Oh, if she wants to join the fun, you should let her,” Necare purred from the darkness. “If he kills her for it, that’s one less sibling to think about.” “Let her go,” another voice, deeper, far more dangerous. “Put Satsu down.” Manes had arrived, the eldest of the Dark Angelics and far less interested in stupid antics. Eminor rolled his eyes. “The mortal lover is here. How’s Ravca and the kids?” He asked, but he did let go of Satsu, the small demon girl landing on all fours and hunching up unhappily. Manes didn’t answer, he just stared his brother down until Eminor looked away.

Valum passed Satsu, the only one he tolerated, but stopped just past all of his siblings, and keabed himself against the cold stone wall. He wasn't there for any of his siblings. Just his father. But it would seem his mother had made it there first. He would have to wait with the rest of Aisema's offspring until they were done.
His lip lifted in a snarl as his gaze passed over Eminor as Batya drew his eyes, materializing in the darkness, beside everyone.
"Why's he awake?" Plagues voice boomed, low and deep, His nails clicked on the stone as he came up behind everyone. Plague stopped and gave a nod to Manes and Satsu. Before looking towards everyone for thoughts.
Aio face didn't shift. "Seems he's currently ravaging our mother. I'd say he was horny."
Her quip did make Batya grin, almost reflexively, but the laughter quickly faded out of her eyes as Batya remembered who they were talking about.
"Gross." Batya glared at her crude sister.
"But I do wonder why now? And if it has anything to do with the vampires gathering."
Aio nodded with Batya's speculations as if in agreement. "He was just hungry." She sneered at her sister. "Think it's the vampires Eminor?"

With a little hiss, Satsu scampered over to Valum and crouched beside him, her clutchmate a comforting presence, even if she would have preferred her father. Eminor was laughing at Aio’s joke, hanging upside down in mid-air, his hair floating around his face. It wouldn’t have surprised him if Malum had woken up just because he was horny. “I doubt it.” Eminor answered. “I don’t think he even knows what a vampire is. He barely gives a s**t about demons, let alone a different race.” Granted it was hard to know what Malum gave a s**t about other than Aisenma, his family and hurting things. Getting coherent thoughts out of the god was harder than talking to a Malkavian. “We’ll find out when he’s ready,” Manes said firmly, staring down the dark tunnel. Necare crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against the wall. “I hope they’re done fast. I have better things I could be doing right now.”

The demon looked at his dark angelic siblings. He couldn't stand thier interest in his father. Valum and Satsu were the only true Demon offspring. Why the other offspring even cared what the demon God was up to never sat well with him. They might share his bloodline, but they would never be true siblings, like how he saw Satsu.
Valum's displeased look caught Plague's eye.
"Something the matter, little brother?" Plague asked, making the 'little' as patronizingl as possible, to his eldest brother. "Or are you still just pissed you're not Malum's favorite?" Plague sneered at his brother.
Valum flashed his teeth in a deep rumbling grunt. The two brothers had never been close. Things may have been different had they both been demons. But as Eminor pointed out. Thier father didn't much care for anything that wasn't dinner, thier mother or at least a demon. And Valum was a Daddy's boy that would hate anything his father said to hate.
Valum chest rattled deeply as he be began to growl out something to do with whores and Plague's mother when Batya's slammed her tail against the ground, hard enough to shake dirt loose from the ceiling. Silencing Valum, and drawing all eyes to her.
As the dirt rained down on the children Aion turned to Batya, blinking slowly at her.
"The ********?" Aion asked, no humor in her tone, but her words were meant to cut the growing tension.
The look on Batya's face grew cold. Aion was taken back by the sudden aggression coming from her sister. She quickly glanced about at her siblings for help as she backed away from Batya, making quick eye contact with Eminor and Necare to see if they might help her. But Batya wasn't looking at Aion. Her gaze was looking through her as her ears twitched gently, as she listen to something.
"Someone's desecrating out temple..!!!" She roared.
Cut to---
A sticky fingered raiding party. All looking for items to be used in rituals. It's hard to tell how many. But they are tearing through the temple quickly.

A low growl rippled through the air as a pair of shiny, mismatched eyed, landed on the quarreling siblings. Raska stopped dead in his tracks just around the corner from the lot, still halfway concealed in shadow, and considered backtracking. His large, ominous, frame unnervingly still. He'd felt the awakening, just as they had, unluckily for the victim he had in his torture chamber it had been after he'd ripped their throat open. The entertainment value on a nearly decapitated creature was fleeting. They usually died too fast for such a method to be truly worth using often. However, he'd felt he hadn't much time before he'd be interrupted. And he'd been right. The God of Demons had awoken. The snarling and snapping of the others caused his hackles to raise as the lot of them set on one another like dogs. Raska had avoided everyone during his father's slumber, stayed underground in his vile pit of death and pain, that's where he preferred to be. The sounds suddenly erupting above, desecration, set his teeth on edge and another low growl rolled up from deep within his chest. At least he wouldn't be bored tonight. With a look of resignation mixed with some sort of feral expression the Dark Angelic turned and headed topside. Whoever was stupid enough to desecrate the temple of Demons was in for a very, very unpleasant, and short, future.

“I sure do love family reunions,” Eminor purred as Batya smashed at the ground, his gaze sliding past the others to the far tunnel, where he knew his clutch brother was lurking. Somewhere in the dark, silent and weird as usual. When Aion looked his way he just shrugged and gave her a look that clearly said ‘not my problem’. Necare however, still leaning against the cave wall, narrowed her eyes dangerously. She didn’t particularly want to get her claws dirty right now but if her sister needed it, she would step in. It turned out her support wasn’t necessary as all those present (minus Satsu who was still crouched behind Valum mumbling to herself) tuned in to what was going on above. “Well damn, they must be reaaaally stupid to try that right now,” Eminor said with a shake of his head. It would have been a bad idea while Malum was sleeping let alone just as he had awoken and with the whole family gathered. Manes growled, a dangerous echoing sound that came from deep in his belly. Thieves on his watch? They would make fine playthings for Malum now that he was back, if the siblings didn’t all just kill them first. “They must be punished. Severely.” Violent murder was the best family bonding activity.

The small raiding party, moved fast. Spreading out and moving silently. They didn't make a sound as they moved through the dark temple, as if magic muted their steps. But each time they picked up and took something, there was a gentle change in air pressure, that left just the faintest of pops where they were. They seemed to move in unison, trying to get as far through the temple as they could. It was as if this whole raid had been pre planned. The only thing they hadn't prepared for had been Malum being awake, and the family being home because of it. (ladies you can either take the lead and take over your thieves movements or I can, whatever you like) ~ Batya was quick to leap into the darkness as she was roaring about the temple, melting into the shadows, only to reform from the shadows above, leaping out of the darkness, right into one of the shadowy figures. Her claws tore through the thieves clothes before she sunk them deep into the cold flesh, hook them in tight. Aion, stunned by the anger on her sisters face, was knocked out of it quickly by the thud Batya made as she materialized above them. She turned and looked at Eminor. "I don't think they were prepared for us all to be having this lovely family reunion." Aion took to the air and began flying upstairs. She made her way quietly, making just a whisper, as she began to hunt the party that was making their way towards her. Valum, grabbed Satsu, helping her up as he rushed up the stairs after Aion. For as massive as he was, he moved just as silently as Aion did flying. He let go of Satsu as soon as she was up and found his first victim quickly, very nearly running into them as he rounded a corner. He grabbed them by the throat and spun, tossing and pinning them by their throat to the wall as he bit down into their shoulder. Plague chuckled about Eminor's comment as he watched most of his sibling stormed towards the front of the temple. He turned towards the dark hallway that led down to where Malum and Aisenma were. It didn't seem right to warn them about what was happening above. He and his siblings would tear any intruder, limb from limb easily. But it didn't also seem reasonable to allow anyone to be able to catch any of his family off guard. Plague grunted and eased himself back, lowering himself into a hunched, menacing figure. He would wait.
