"Kids, I just had a conversation with General LeClerc. He told me he was first into Paris, and by God, he wanted to be first into Berchtesgaden. I told him I understood his point. Now you fire up Second Battalion and outflank that French son of a b*tch!" -Col. Sink, Band of Brothers
Go to the /k/ thread I made for this. http://boards.4chan.org/k/res/5066809#5066809
I've seen that thread a lot of times.
And yes, I facepalmed.

IT'S ******** BULLETS TIME! First up, the .17-357. .357SIG necked down to .17 caliber:
Next, the 5.7mm Express! I think it's .50BMG necked down to 5.7mm.
And finally this one, just because it's ******** hilarious.

I bet that 5.7mm express is heavy to tote around. I would never want to trust any of those though. I'm pretty sure that casing is bigger than .50. I thought it could be a 28ga., but if that bullet is 5.7, it could be 12ga. (casing is approx. .80).

Apparently we're both wrong. It seems the casing is a lathed solid rod of brass, and the bullet is sitting in a depression in the top. That explains why it looks slightly off. This brings the title of most bad-a** laser-round back to the .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer
.17-357 is apparently notable enough to warrant a wiki page.

Also, .224 BOZ. Uses standard 5.56mm bullets in a necked-down 10mm case. When loaded with black-tip 5.56, it gives pistols AP capabilities. They even modified an MP5/10 to shoot it.

From the show Burn Notice:
Glocksplosion.
The show is actually pretty good. The gun porn is excellent, and one of the writers knows exactly what he's talking about, and so does the prop guy. The other writer makes s**t up, and the prop guy tries to play along. Like the "9mm Desert Eagle" was a Jericho. Oh, and did I mention Bruce Campbell is a main character, playing a retired SEAL?

Bruce Campbell is awesome.
But sometimes, I'm not sure if it's the scripts or not, but the things he says, wtf?
In the one episode where he helps Sugar, and he gets shot by some guys with MP5s and Bruce refers to them as 'assault rifles'.

I noticed this, and it really bugged me. But, maybe he wanted to make the situation seem worse than it was. Assault Rifle sounds scarier than Submachine gun. Just ask a Clinton.
