Dahry had been totally absorbed in watching Teerce, when slowly, loud sounds began to ease into the cloud of happiness that surrounded her. It was still easy to ignore, but the sound continued to pervade her consciousness, growing increasingly louder as it did so. She shot an angry glare at the crowd making noise around them, saw that they were cheering for someone, and glanced to see who. Very quickly she lost what was left of the fog that had numbed her. Oh merciful Promised land, this was horrible timing! Sephiroth is here! She then quickly scanned the area and saw to her further chagrin, none other than her father's assisstant, Saerenna. What did I do to deserve this! My one chance, this entire month, to get to see Teerce, and what happens!?! Tons of people show up who could quite easily report back to my dad!!! She then started to cry out of self pity as she turned to Teerce to explain the predicament they now faced.

Teerce had been gazing on Dahry's face in stupified admiration when he saw her look away for several moments. He followed her gaze and saw in horror that she was looking at, none other than the Great Sephiroth! This was just great! Here he was on his first date with Dahry in a month, and who should show up but Sephiroth! Sephiroth was famous, tall...Tall and extremely handsome! What chance did he have with someone like Sephiroth around! He then looked back at Dahry to judge how infatuated she was when he saw tears in her eyes. Oh no! It was worse than he had thought! She was now regreting even going on a date with a loser like he was! He paused in his thinking as he frantically began telling him the real reason for her tears. Teerce had never felt more of an idiot than he did just then. So, quite glumly, he agreed to split up. He would stay here, and she would head over to the Chocob races. There was still the possibility that they might be able to hook up later, but that seemed a slim chance, and they would have to be on gaurd at all moments, which, considering how absorbed they both got at times....well, the chances of getting toigether later were slim indeed.

Saerenna was surprised to see Dahry out of the corner of her eye. Wait, hadn't she seen that one guy here earlier...? Oh well, no matter, for now her eyes were drawn again towards General Sephiroth in awe. He was completely and absolutely amazing. It seemed inhumanly possible that someone could be like that. But... Well, he wasn't all human, was he? He was part of the JENOVA project. The biggest part actually, except for JENOVA itself.... Nevertheless, she found herself cheering for him as he faced off against even more formidable enemies.

Ermak Lorde"
Zach barely managed to avoid grinning like an idiot,"You don't have to repay me. It's my pleasure! I enjoy treating you to things, you have such a nice smile I want to see it more often!" He teased gently, He was a little worried that she still bore a grudge toward Zach's supposed attacker... He had hoped that the excitement would drive the incident from her mind. But so far it hadn't worked, Zach was starting to have some serious misgivings about the eventual concequences of his earlier untruths... But now was not the time to dwell on it, wrapping his arm in Aeris's own he began to lead her from the room, chatting animatedly about the various sights one can behold from the Round. Giving Fenrir a nod in passing, in answer to the twin's question.

"Oh, thank you, you're so nice." Aeris said blushing profusely.

Shinrei did his best not to erupt into maniacal laughter at the current play of events. He loved being a child, everyone always underestimated him, allowing him a greater advantage. He knew how to stay a few steps ahead of the game, and returned to Saerenna's side to appear just as immersed in the battle as she, perhaps more so. To any outside observer, it would seem he had been there the entire time, and like a perfect mimicry of normal expressions he watched the match, it had been a long time since he allowed himself to show his real emotions and now could display only what was expected. It was a very useful ability for a ninja to have.

With one dragon the ring had been crowded, with Three Sephiroth had to dodge around their feet to avoid them, every blast of fire one breathed would heal the wounds Sephiroth inflicted on it's neighbor. But every bite or swipe of claw inevitably struck their peers instead of the nimble General. Like a deadly, twisted game of dodge-ball he weaved between them, striking when he could but leaping out of harms way more often than not. His sword slashed across underbellies, tails and forclaws. He never seemed to get the opportunity to attack the vulnerable necks which would end this insane game of tag. So frusterated was he by his innability to finish off these foes, that he did not pay as much attention to his surroundings as he should have. Before he knew it the trio of dragons had pinned him against the arena wall, all three facing him hungrily. One inhaled a deep breath, while the another charged, the third sat smugly blocking his escape route. Sephiroth did the only thing he could think of, it was a very dangerous manuever but he was out of options. He jumped over the charging dragon's gaping maw, landing lightly on it's head and racing down it's spine before it could twist around. Using it's height to acheive his next aim, as The first dragon was just opening it's mouth to release a gout of flame Sephiroth leapt into it's face thrusting his sword deep into the back of it's throat. The beast choked and gurgled, still managing to cough fire before it drowned in it's own blood. Sephiroth did not have the chance to yank his Masamune free before the other two wyrms decended. Smoke rose lazily from a few places on his jacket, and his hands stung, glancing at them he realized they were raw and bleading, the top layers of skin had been burned off, he wrinkled his nose at the nauseating smell of burning flesh. With one down things should have been easier. But the other two never gave Sephiroth the opportunity to retreive his blade. A sadistic game of cat and mouse ensued... with Sephiroth the uncomfortable rodent. He was quickly tiring of the situation, and that perhaps made him a little reckless. In a last ditch effort to pass the two dragons he launched himself into the air and wrapped the entire length of his body around one of the beast's jaws, clamping them shut as best he could. The creature disliked that immensly and swung it's head violently from side to side in an effort to dislodge the silver-haired SOLDIER, Sephiroth clung, as long as he could, hoping the second man-eater wouldn't get the opportunity to bite him off. Sephiroth's manuever rewarded him, as he timed his release of his foe he landed behind both of them, mere yards from his precious No-Dachi. Racing forward and yanking the blade free he rose to confront two furious, charging dragons no more than 20 feet away, both heads lowering to dispose of the morsel. Sephiroth ran at both of them sword held ready, and with a shout he disapeared amongst those teeth and claws. For many moimutes the stadium seemed to hold it's breath. Then as if in slow motion one dragon collapsed. The second followed it moments later. as the dust settled, a black clad figure wrestled his way from under the beast's necks. Finally managing to squirm out from between them he sat for the breifest of moments on one of the corpses armored head. And yet before he had taken three breath's the far door opened again. The stadium gasped in surprise, the dragon's cadavers had not even been removed yet! Yet another winged monster prowled through the doors, this one bore gleaming ebony scales and leather wings the color of midnight. Sephiroth didn't even have time to curse before he had to leap out of the way of an ultima spell, the blast grazed his leg causing him to stumble, but he rolled quickly before the lightning could touch him. Something was very wrong here!

Zach simply grinned, leading her exitedly through the tunnels of the Gold Saucer, They arrived at the Round a little before Fenrir, who had paused to speak to a second girl, What a foolish fellow, didn't he know only two people could go on the round at a time? Zach chuckled mentally, he'd gotten his female of choice! And he was going to enjoy it!! With a boyish grin he handed the conductor his tickets. "Two for the round!"
"Have a nice ride, and enjoy the veiw!" The conductor responded with an answering smile, and a wink at Zach when Aeris wasn't looking.
"We will!" Zach assured him, and they stepped into the room. the box lurched and slowly began it's way accross the track, and Zach found himself suddenly tounge-tied. "So.... uh... Has anyone ever told you that you have Gorgeous eyes?"

Saerenna watched Sephiroth take out the three dragons, the whole time clenching her fists and biting her lip nervously. He seemed alright, but still! Even for someone like Sephiroth, this seemed almost too much! She was unable to tear her eyes away as the next monster came out. What? That was even worse, the General should just quit now. But knowing men and their pride, she knew that he wouldn't. His hands needed treating, and who knew if he had other wounds that could be very dangerous if he kept going! She shook her head disbelievingly. "What's going on?" she muttered.

redface "Umm...no I don't believe so..." Aeris answered shyly. Oh no, what do I do? he's so cute, and charming and...and handsome... The pink clad flower girl stammered mentally. However her thoughts cut short as she turned towards the resounding explosions of the Fireworks erupting around their tram. She was transfixed at the sight of the glitering display, refracted everywhere on the bright metallic gold paint of the amusement park. "It's...amazing..." She whispered. She glanced at zack, and found a similar display in his eyes. "I-I think you have very nice eyes too."

Conspiritorially the woman at the desk in the battle square turned to Saerenna. "I heard that Dio's wife left him, and she's founded an official Sephiroth fanclub, she that group of squealing girls over there? That large woman in front, yelling and screaming? THat's her...and she's...AH LOOK AWAY! MINE EYE"S THEY BURN!" The girl turned away in disgust. "I can't believe she took off her top. Geez, it's a good thing Sephiroth can ignore them, other wise that would have made him goug out his own eyes, I know I'd like a good ice pick right now...

Sabel was hiding in a restroom, she knew they were looking for her, and she didn't know what to do. Mother, please give me a sign, where might I find the Chosen One, the one who shall lead us to the Promised land? Please anything will do." Sabel begged. The reply she got, if it was a reply, was a sudden attack of Geostigma. WHen she could see clearly and remain standing she realized her hair had bleached a pure hue of silver and her eyes were a full undiluted green. "Kuroi, go back to the stables, and take this with you." SHe directed th chocobo as she stripped off her racing gear and switched into another outfit. She looked entirely different now. And as she walked out of the bathroom, and her Chocobo fled a different direction she walked face first into a poster being hung, on it was the glorious form of the Great Sephiroth, directing her with a big red arrow of hope towards the arena. "Oh thank you Mother, your sign is truely wonderous.

Saerenna turned with the woman to see what she was talking about, and looked away just as quickly. "Well... That was a bit much." She said with distasteful understatement. "Sephiroth is amazing, but that lady may be just a bit too obsessed. You say she was Dio's wife?" she asked with a shake of her head. Well it made some sense now. Dio's probably trying to get revenge. She kind of felt sorry for the man. Dio that is. If he were to fail in getting rid of General Sephiroth, that obsessive lady would be even more impressed. If he were to succeed, then he'd have a whole mob of fangirls around him. It just seemed, that when going against Sephiroth, whether he was there or not, you couldn't win.

When the girl did not answer Fenrir philosophically shrugged. I suppose Garm would have to get his own girls. He was back to Trista in a flash and following Zach and Aeris.

They stepped onto the Round. Fenrir turned to the attendent. " A ticket please," he said as he forked over the appropriate amount of GP.

The guards glared down at Garm. " There is a law against battling anywhere but the battle square. I'm afraid we're going to have to take you in for violation of that rule." The guards were disconcerted at the arrival of the cat-thing. They looked from the talking lion girl to the Turk. The thugs had just enough brain power to realize they were going to need some back-up to take on a lion AND a Turk.

" Hey, uh listen guys.... I er don't even have Enemy Skill Materia. " Listen, I'm a Turk," Garm said attempting to difuse the situation.

" What did you see Mr. Kitty," the taller guard asked, turning to Sadira.

Sadira fairly exploded. At four foot tall she wasn't exactly small for her race, she seemed to get taller. Her mane fairly stood up straight as the burning blue tail flame flashed to white. " WHO are you calling MR. Kitty!" she raged. Her vision went red, she wasn't even thinking as she launched herself at the gaurds. She was vaugely aware of the Turk grabbing her battle collar to hold her back, but he just ended up going with her. One of the guards took off running (the wrong idea). Sadira was after him in a momment, dragging the unfortunate Turk along with her. The guard hightailed it to through the doors of the stadium radioing for back up.

As Sadira (dragging the TUrk behind) barged through the door she over shot. Slipping on the slick surface she had just enough presence of mind to leap, the only problem was the only plac to leap was into the ring. Decending like a white commet (with turk in tow) Sadira landed on her feet between a massive red creature and a silver-haired man.

Unable to dwell on the nagging sense of forboding that quickly began to fill the room. Sephiroth leapt do his feet. Blocking the wip-like tail of the dragon with his sword, it was jarring for both sides, the dragon curled it's tail back with a hiss and Sephiroth had to switch his sword to his right hand for a while while he shook the numbness from his left. Things were going decently well all things considered. As the quickly cooling green dragon corpses proved quite a hindrance to the Dark Dragon and convinient blockades against lightning for the deft general. Time and the past battles without rest were beginning to wear on him. His leg throbbed painfully where the Ultima spell had grazed him and his hands were slick with blood, both from his enemies and his own wounds. About this time, when the Dragon and the General were engaging in yet another stare-down. Something unusual happened, Spehiroth heard a collective gasp from the audience and a white and black form rocketted into the sands. The Dragon pulled back in surprise but recovered quickly and reared it's head in a deep intake of breath. The momentary distraction was all Sephiroth needed, paying the black and white form no more than a cursory glance he launched himself at the winged beast. The blast of lightning arced from the Dragon's mouth and without hardly knowing what he was doing Sephiroth raised his blade to the plasma. Heat seemed to suffuse him for a moment, he felt almost giddy with the strange surge he felt and unbeknownst to him his form took on an odd sheen. the lightning hit his blade and split away from it as though cut. He leaped still slashing through the jagged arcs of energy. Not even thinking about how impossible this should be. In the last moment he found himself right before the Dragon, time seemed to slow and for the breifest of moments he had the odd sensation of hovering in place. Then reality snapped back into focus and his sword hit home, slicing cleanly through the creatures neck and spine, severing the black head from it's body. The Beast's roar turned into a gurgled hiss, even as it's head flipped through the air spattering blood across the arena. Sephiroth landed on the creature's back and balanced casually even as the body crumpled to the ground. turning slowly as though in a dream he surveyed the two interlopers. A Turk and .... Sephiroth paused, He'd seen some of those before hadn't he? His face blanked as he decended into thought, but he couldn't remember what that race was called. A breif glance around the sandy ring showed that this time there were indeed workers dragging the corpses away. About time... Sephiroth mentally growled. He strode to where the two misfits stood. "Are you both alright?" He asked calmly, "How or why did you come down here... you realize you could have both been killed right?" He was trying not to sound harsh but he failed. It wasn't one of his practiced skills.

Zach gazed at her for several moments, "yeah... very pretty," He murmered, and then found himself face to face with those eyes. Just a number of inches away... unconciously he leaned in a little closer, I could live on the beauty of those eyes alone... He thought Clichely. But at just that moment another burst of fire-works went off quite near to their box. Zach jumped and then flushed as he realized he'd been about to kiss her. ... but then... maybe that wasn't such a bad thing... he decided mesmerized by her gaze once again.

Garm was feeling positively ill. Not only had he been dragged into the ring but was face to face with General Sephiroth.... AGAIN! He looked down at the hot-headed cat thing with distaste. I guess it had saved him from the guards.... sort of... but know they would both be thrown into prison and they would have to work their way out as chocobo jokeys wich might work for him but not for lion-girl... and then Fenrir would be left all alone and who knows what havoc he would wreak without Garm their to restrain him...... this dire train of thoughts was only slightly brought back to reality by the remonstrances of the General.

He had the vauge notion the general was asking after his wellfare but no words came to Garm's mind..... this was not a good day. In fact he much prefered work vacation was turning out to be much too harrowing.

Sadira watched with awe as the silver-haired man dispatched the dragon. He was incredible... such a warrior. Her tail flicked nervously.... she wanted to try... but then how could she ever hope to attain such finesse, such style. She watched him approach.

" I'm fine... I slipped," she responded to his query. " I had to leap or else... and well I just didn't think," she admitted with bluff honesty. She accepted his harsh tones with equanimity... he sounded like Badr when she'd gone and done something stupid again and here she had thought she'd gotten away from scolds for a while. Her ears flicked into an amused position at the thought. She quickly straightened them though knowing that such humor after such stupidity was not befiting a good warrior. She straightened up " I appologize for interrupting your match, sir. I have no excuse for such poor deportment."

Looking obliquely at Zack afraid to meet his gaze again, Aeris blushed and squirmed in her seat a little. "Th-this was very nice, thank you." She told him genuinely as the tram pulled to a stop. "Maybe...we can go out again?" She asked hopefully.

Sabel walked into the battle square holding high her banner emblazoned with her Lord's likeness upon it. With such a clear sign from Mother, she couldn't have given up such a momento. Suddenly she was amidst a huddled group. A number of them shirlled at her excitedly. "What an AWESOME poster!" "OH I like your hair!" "OOh you really went all out didn't you? Dying your hair and getting contacts too?!" I'm about to just DIE from jealousy!" Cried the squeeing mass of rabid fangirls. She was quickly hustled to the front of the crowd in her bewilderment, and then she saw the subject of her search. "The Chosen One..." She muttered, eyes blazing. "Yeah, he's MY chosen one too RAWR!" Agreed one of the crowd.

Sephiroth sighed inwardly, "It's not a problem really," He explained to Sadira, still failing to be kind in his tone. "try to make sure you leave before the...." A low rumble with which Sephiroth was becoming all to familiar, signified the opening of the great doors for his next opponent. "By the Planet!" He whirled around staring, and cursed under his breath as the shadow of a great beast stretched across the sands. "These people aren't involved!" His voice echoed a testament to his status as a general. No response was forth coming, and his attention was quickly diverted by the gold colored beast storming through the portal. "A King Behemoth..." He breathed, and the monster roared, throwing it's purple mane back. A slight glow surrounded the Behemoth in the next moment, "Out of the Way!" The general shouted diving for the two interlopers and knocking them aside just before a huge comet smashed into the ground where they had been standing moments before. Sephiroth cursed again, had Dio lost his MIND?? "I don't know what's going on, but stay on your toes, both of you! I'll take care of this!" He dodged away to the other side of the ring, racing forward and slashing at the beast to ensure he had it's attention. I am your opponent! He thought sternly.

Zach found heat rising to his face as he stared at Aeris, then he smiled boyishly, as if she'd just offered him icecream. "Yeah! I'd love to!" He decided happily, He glanced around, and offered her his arm as they both moved to leave the tram. When he noticed Fenrir outside, he couldn't resist giving the Turk a broad smug grin, when he thought Aeris wasn't looking. Nothing had actually happened, but Fenrir didn't need to know that.
