Saltwater Lagoon

Cupid sunk slowly down as the sparkling bubblues moving slowly up as the flushed silvery color of them swishing around him. Everything was calm as the color clouded his eyes, the million colors of blue and the soild colors of the fishes passing and thrashing by as he slowly watching them. Amazed by this underwater world. He reached his paw out to touch out of the larger bubbles as it was swished between his claws and toes. He grinned and then suddenly had a burst of speed and tharshed and purple fish.
When he finally got it he trotted out completly soaked in the salty water and a funky colored fish.
"Haw."
He was grinning widely as he dropped his fish down onto the ground and put his paw on it to keep it from flopping away. What a great catch he thought, it was a plump but short fish. Enough to fill his tiny stomach. His tail wagged as he looked at her rainbow colored trout. The pretty colors reflecting off the sun.
"This should be a good enough lunch..." he said licking his chops.

Renae smiled at him brightly and watched as her fish took a final, dying breath. She looked up at him, and shook off her fur one more time just to annoy him, as she recalled he didn't enjoy it during their first encounter. she smirked and sat back down feebly, "Oh yes,a wonderful lunch." she almost repeated as she looked down at the sparkling fish. It held a dull gray color, to her, as the light white light glimmered off of it's dark grey scales. The greyness of it's tale stood out against the many grays below her, and it seemed quite picturesque. Tantalizing almost. How the grey reflected off the grey in such a wondrous manor. She was proud of the bright colored Clown fish she had caught, for she hadn't realized what she thought was a trout was in fact a tropical fish.

Cupid backed his head away from the flying drops of water as it hit him and he sneezed. He shook himself thoroughly before he dived into the fish with his clamping jaws. Not even taking a breath.
When he was done noming he looked up at her and licked his chops for the third time.

Renae looked at him and smiled at him brimming with life and happiness. She then realized her "trout" was still sitting before, untouched. She then took it and picked it up by it's tail, tossing the small creature into the air, and opening her mouth just under where she had tossed it to catch it, and she swallowed in a single gulp. she grinned, feeling rather accomplished with something she hadn't done since she lived up north, and returned Cupid's gaze from across the rock.

Cupid blinked for a moment, slightly amazed that she swallowed that whole thing. Not only was that impressive but that was quite a big fish down her throat. He shook his head and looked away as he fell onto his rump and began to lick his paws of any escaped blood.

Renae felt slightly embarrassed now about her odd talent and smiled at cupid lightly as to cover up the fluttery feeling in her stomach. Her gaze wandered over back to the Lagoon as her vision wandered from fish to fish. all creating a sparkling sensation in the water, almost as if they where stars that were shimmering in the night sky. She smiled to herself and stretched out her body once more, relaxing in the cool shade of the trees. It really was a perfect day out today, and yesterday. It's just been a line of good weather. she smiled to herself and watched a butterfly fly over head in Cupids direction and let out a huff of air, technically a snicker, as it came dangerously close to his fur. she smiled and buried her snout into tall grass to hide her smirk.

Cupid's mind else where in the world he was just mindlessly licking himself clean and not really in the reality part. When he felt a slight brush up against his shoulder he flipped.
He barked loudly and jumped to his feet like a cat and growled at the innocent butterfly. He smiled and blew gental air toward it as it fluttered away.
"No one ever suspects a butterfly, do they?"

She smiled, unmoving from her position she was in with her hind legs raised and her front covering her snout."Obviously." she said with a giggle still fixed on the butterfly. "I dunno Cupid, he looks pretty vicious. Maybe you need to show 'em who's boss." she said jokingly as she rolled over onto her back. she grinned brightly and looked up at cupid from the ground. The grass was cool and the sun was shining far behind the canape of the trees. It was a peaceful day and she was hoping it intended to stay that way.

Cupid grinned and turned himself into a playful play bow and barked at the butterfly. The little butterfly flew up just abit to the upwind roar. He jumped up and snapped at the butterfly as his teeth nearly grabbed hold of the fragil wings.
"There ya go Mr. Butterfly, now get out of here."
The insect flew off in a rush to get away from Cupid's hard jaws. He smiled brightly at the bug as turned to Renae. He raised his brow at her and watched her slightly suspicous.
"What is your little mind plotting?"

Renae smirked, the grass came up around her bag and almost over her head. "Oh. I don't know." she said in a light voice, looking off in the other direction playfully. She then slowly returned her gaze to Cupid and broke out into laughter. she tilted her body as she rolled back onto her stomach onto a near by rock. she grinned and saw a near by puddle of water she had neglected to tell Cupid about. She smiled and swished her tail around and slowly lowered it into the pool. She dipped her tail in and flicked it over in his direction. A giggle escaped her lips as she watched his reaction to the wet cold rain water.

Cupid reared back at the icy water hitting his pelt but he laughed. His tail swished with delight, though he wished he wasn't wet. He barked happy and jumped up and into the little puddle making a big splash on him and her.
"Rawr, do you like me now!"
