Personality: Like most mermaids, Lys enjoys water, particularly when she can use it to surprise people, like leaping at people from under water or hunting by diving into water. She likes to surprise people, too, and to keep them guessing, but she's not malicious or even particularly mysterious. In fact, she grew up convinced that she was the plain one in her family, and so she desperately wants to find someone who will love her with a devotion that makes it immaterial whether she is plain or pretty.
History: Her childhood was standard for the pride, but on her first trip into the rogue lands she met a lion with fish markings like hers and fell in love with him almost at once. However, she had followed the teachings of her pride and left him while he was asleep rather than stay with him. She bore his cubs, though, and when they finally left home it broke her heart, so she went into the rogue lands. There she unexpectedly met one of her sons, Kesä, and they decided to travel together in search of his father. They were captured by a Stormborn reaver in the process and brought back to the pride as thralls. Eventually Sukurys joined the pride, recognized her, claimed Kesä as his son to free him, and fought the lion who owned her for possession of her, whereupon he freed her and wed her.

Personality: Terribly, painfully shy, Sekai has a difficult time interacting with, well, everyone except her mother and her sister. Brief History: She grew up in a traditionally structured pride with a mother who was always somewhat ashamed of her and her sister because of the way they had been conceived, but she was still safe and happy. They were separated by accident and Sekai wandered the rogue lands since, until she was captured by Tallskog and brought back to be a gift to his betrothed.

Personality: Tomi is not a fighter, and is solitary by nature, finding it easier to submit than to get into an argument. He no longer harbors any resentment toward the Stormborn, but he remembers which of them were involved in his capture and might be a little less fair in his dealings with them than he would be with anyone else. When a person comes across him on his own he is likely to be staring off into the distance, trying to figure out where his lost love is and what she's doing. He has never responded to any female's attempts to entice him.
History: Tomi was captured as an adolescent and made a Thrall, but because of his proximity to the Lawspeaker who kept him as a personal Thrall he was able to learn much of what a Lawspeaker's work was, and when that Lawspeaker's husband died unexpectedly on a viking she had him officially freed and adopted him as her son since it seemed she would never have children of her own to train in her profession. There was some uproar at the time, since she immediately began to train him as her replacement, but it soon became apparent that he was clever enough for the position and all the legalities had been observed. Before he was captured he was fooling around with his best friend's girl, and it was because he was with her, in fact, that he was not killed in the raid. She fled and he thinks she escaped with her life, but he cannot be sure.

Personality: Abrasive and fairly unpleasant, Sandor's not what people think of when they think of Jedi Knights, but he does live in accordance with the Code. In fact, he's fairly slavish in his adherence to it. Loyalty is a big thing with him, as is devotion, and he is devoted to the way of life has chosen, even if he lives it in a nontraditional way. So, yes. He swears, argues, and doesn't really object to intimidating people who can be intimidated if it'll get him what he wants, and perhaps he is a little too enthusiastic in those instances when he's expected to fight, but he never exceeds his instructions in those instances. He has a sharp tongue, a foul mouth, and an apparently rotten outlook on life.
History: Born a minor noble in the Suka'Fumo to a disinterested father and a mother who died shortly thereafter, Sandor was raised largely by his sister. Unfortunately, Sandor did not even reach adolescence before his older brother Greygor attacked him brutally for having the gall to play with some of his discarded toys. When his brother held the left side of his face into a fire until he was permanently mutilated, juvenile Sandor remained in the pride only until his injuries had healed before fleeing to the rogue lands, where he found a pride which taught balance and harmony, two things Sandor's life had lacked until that point.
As a youngling Sandor was placed in the Waterbuck Clan, which is for those of perceived tenacity. He had little difficulty memorising and understanding the Jedi Code when it came time for his trial, having had fairly extensive training in the niceties of nobility when he was a youth in the Suka'Fumo. As a Padawan, he proved an obedient pupil, if sometimes surly and disinclined to idle conversation.
The trials to become a knight were not easy for him, since his master suggested he first face the Trial of Courage, during which he was expected to complete all of the physical kata he had learned throughout his training while surrounded by fire. He failed that one pretty spectacularly and his disposition took a definite turn toward nastiness after that. He still held to the teachings of the Jedi, but he was sharper tongued than most.
The next time he tested he completed the Trials of Flesh, Insight, and Spirit. As he has always been a physically robust lion, the first was not difficult for him, the second helped him come to terms with his scarring, and the third was, well, fun. He came back with a red jasper stone and a lot of new scars. He had also learned some impressively foul language which he still uses pretty indiscriminately.
