About them: These two live in a militant pride, and they were assigned to breed together because they'd have tough kids. This is common behavior in the pride, and at first they accepted the duty with grace. Unfortunately the female had fallen in love with another by the time their fateful joining came to pass. Under the cover of night, she played her part in a tryst...And her waning attention to her assigned mate led to fighting, both verbal and physical with her assigned male. And now, worst of all, she's found herself pregnant. While the male's affections have redoubled, and the fighting stopped entirely, she is left to worry; whose cubs are they? And are they healthy, after all this stress and fighting?

About her: What happened to her mate? What is she like/what were they like? LIMIT: one paragraph.
She was to be married to an older lion in her pride when she had met him. Her stalker. He had waited for her for so long, since adolescence. He hid in the distance, watching and waiting, wanting to speak to her but holding no courage to do so. It was during those days that Parirow noticed the lion. He was a darker sort, someone that could drag another towards them without realizing it. Summoning all the courage she could muster, Parirow chased after her stalker one night. She hadn’t wanted to marry the older lion and she felt perhaps she might be able to have this lion help her. He seemed interested after all. It was when they met and started talking that the fireworks happened, it was like a puzzle piece finding its perfect fit. He quickly offered to help her, thinking it best to try and remove the lioness from the ways of the pride and of the boring life it held. On the run and spending many passionate nights together, she felt herself become heavy, finding in harder to run away from the lions that took to following after them and before long she had to stop running altogether. Heartbroken, the now captive lioness lies in wait, hoping and praying that her children can be saved from the pride that was now prisoner of.

Ime earned her name by being an understanding lioness who doesn't rush or push others though she expects from them what she herself would give. She's tough and independent.
Obi got his by being such a sweetie. Almost in a sappy fail-y kinda way. Bumbling, if you will.
So it was only a matter of time until Obi found himself in a life-or-death situation that seemed more death than life and was just at death's door with Ime saved him. They'd met before and he had quite the crush on her, but Ime just wasn't interested. But after she saved him, he had all the reason to fall in love with her and he begged and begged and begged for one date. So she consented. And about the 5th date... she got preggers.
