Say a PRAYER xxxxxxxxxThen we're there At the drawbridge of a castle xxxxxxxxxAnd there's something TRULY TERRIBLE inside. How long had it been now? How long since she chose to imitate life instead of move on into death? How long since that terrible night when her brother killed her? Erianthe wasn't sure, but she knew it was enough. Enough time for her brother, the murderer, to become a vampire. Enough time for her sister to graduate. The ghost wondered what her sister was doing now. She was probably playing Quidditch with their father. Erianthe was certain that her family missed her, but not as much anymore. Pain did get lighter with time.
In all the time that she had been dead, Erianthe called the dungeon her home. It was where she died, it was where she felt comfortable. It was the first place she saw when she became a ghost. When Jasmine was still a student, she would venture out more. She would go to classes and try to learn. That's what Ravenclaws did, and that's what Erianthe was. She had to learn. But now, well, now was the first year without her sister in the castle. The ghost should have graduated last year, but here she was, still in Hogwarts.
Honestly, Erianthe was thinking about fading. She was thinking about no longer being a ghost and entering death. She had finished school, Jasmine had moved on, and Zane had been punished. All was right in her eyes, what else was there to do? Most of these students didn't know of her, they didn't know her. Why would they want to? The crazy girl who was killed. Murdered in cold blood by her own brother.

It was rather odd for a Ravenclaw to be down in the dungeons, and especially as low as Lindsay was. The dungeons were for Slytherins. After all, that's where they lived. Their common room was down here. Not that he wanted to go visit. Maybe his Slytherin friend would let him in one day, just not today.
Today, Lindsay was down in the dungeon with a specific purpose in mind. He had been intrigued by the appearance of a ghost at the opening feast. She didn't look too much older than him. He wanted to know more about her, and being a Ravenclaw, the Muggleborn did just that. He found out that her name was Erianthe Acacia, and she was supposed to graduate last year with her brother and sister. He found out that she was a triplet. He just didn't quite know how she died, only that it was in the dungeons on this night, which made it perfect for investigating. Who better to know about her life than Erianthe herself?
Looking around, the boy struggled to find the ghost. Of course it would be difficult. She was a ghost. She wasn't human, or even alive. She imitated life, and she wasn't bound by the same rules of reality as himself. She could move through things, she could fly. Sure, as a wizard, Lindsay could do the same thing, but he didn't know that yet. He would, he was certain of it. But for now, he was stuck looking for the young ghost. "Erianthe?" he asked, seeing a figure that looked like the one he was searching for.

Say a PRAYER xxxxxxxxxThen we're there At the drawbridge of a castle xxxxxxxxxAnd there's something TRULY TERRIBLE inside. Erianthe was perfectly content to just fade away when she heard something familiar. Her name. Just her name, spoken by a student. The student was wearing robes that would signify that he was from the house she shared with her brother. But why was this student here? The child, she did not know if the student was a boy or a girl, was probably curious. Why would a student be a ghost?
The student didn't look that old. In fact, the student didn't look older than her, and Erianthe was stuck as a third year, thirteen years old for all of eternity. What a terrible age to be stuck at. Jasmine got to age normally and Zane, well, from what she read, he aged two years for every year that Jasmine aged. It really wasn't fair. Zane, immortal to a point. His body wouldn't age like a human's.
"Can I help ye?" the ghost asked. After all, the student was probably down here for a reason. Ravenclaws didn't just come to the dungeon for no reason at all.

She spoke to him. Erianthe acknowledged him. What a strange feeling for a son of Muggles to be speaking with a ghosts. They weren't supposed to be real, but then again, Lindsay wasn't supposed to be real. He was supposed to be an ordinary schoolboy, not a wizard. Not that it mattered. The boy found that he liked being a wizard much better. "A was wondering 'ow ya became a ghost. Ya just seem so young," the boy answered, hoping he didn't offend her.

”Soooo, I don't want to say we're lost,” Tristan's voice echoed across the cold, damp dungeon walls. The stones were cracked from hundreds of years of endurance, and shadows danced from the high sconces lit on the walls. He only wished the flickering flames were a better source of heat, even with his robes and uniform layered on, the chilling touch drilled into his bones. ”But I have no bloody idea where we are,” he admitted. The vast empty expanse of stone and pillar stretched as far as he can see. He had never ventured this far down into the dungeons, in fact, no one ever ventured this far, from what he's seen. Either the basement to the kitchens, (which he still cannot find for the life of him,) or the Slytherin Corridor, was where everyone usually branched off, not several levels lower.
”Wonder if anyone ever comes down here,” his voice bounced, echoing across the dungeon chamber. ”Doubt it, otherwise, they'd be here, yeah? S'not easy to find an empty spot, not in this school.” He hated how true that was. There's always someone in the halls; a student, a prefect, professor, or even a ghost, a smart mouthed portrait, or one particularly cryptic suit of armor. If only the dungeons weren't under the lake, he might find a way to the Forbidden Forest but... it didn't seem likely. ”I'm thinkin' you were right, probably would've been better to go adventuring around the sixth or seventh floor, but who knows? Maybe we'll find something interestin' down here...”

LOCATION » Dungeon chamber. COMPANY » Tristan. WEARING » Ravenclaw uniform. OOC » Sophie stuck close to Tristan's left elbow, looking around the dimly lit stone hallway as his voice echoed around them. Letting out a short dry laugh, the brunette replied, "You'd think they'd give new students maps or something. Guess that would kind of lose the old castle charm though." Her voice was brave, but her body language and expression belied her words.
She was kinda creeped out, though Tristan's presence helped. "If we die down here, I'm writing a note in blood that it was your fault. Don't ask me how." The Ravenclaw tugged her robes closer, cursing the cold climate and lack of heaters.
At her friend's speculation as to why it didn't look like anybody ever came here she nodded and frowned. "It's a pretty big school, castle, whatever. Doesn't look nearly this big on the outside. But then again, we're probably underground at this point. Who would even want to hang out down here anyway? ....Besides us for some reason."
As he admitted that her previous idea was right, Sophie allowed herself a wry smirk. "A bit late now. If we make it out alive, we'll check them out next time." She chewed at her bottom lip, wanting to take her wand out and cast 'lumos' for comfort's sake but instead asked, "Is it true that there used to be a basilisk down here?" Her eyes darted around, wary of doorways and corners.

If he noticed her discomfort, it only served to heighten his bravery for the both of them. He ventured further in, empty bookcases and worn, shoddy wooden chairs collected dust against the furthest wall, several corridors branched off from the heart of the chamber, but instead of choosing a solid direction, he spun around in a slow small circle, admiring the sheer magnitude of the chamber they were in. ”That'd just be too convenient,” he rolled his eyes for exaggerated effect. ”Oh, right, just blame me,” he spared no moment in teasing her, ”Always the Slytherin's fault, isn't it?” A short laugh rattled across the dungeon, it was a little unnerving, actually. He shrugged his shoulders, his indifference shining on his curious features. ”I dunno, but something's gotta be hiding down here, and whatever it is, it's gotta be good. And hey, we can always practice magic down here, yeah?” Not that they couldn't practice magic anywhere else, but, he neglected to mention that part.
”Well, even if don't make it out alive, we could always turn into ghosts? Haunt the school for the rest of eternity?” He wouldn't admit it now, but he was nervous. Maybe it was because of her paranoia, or maybe it was because of the way sounds echo across the stony corridor. ”There was, yeah... But, that was like... pffft... at least forty, maybe fifty years ago.” He reassured her—and himself—he's no stranger to those monsters hiding under the bed. ”They say it was bloody big too, huge, probably big enough to fill the room.” He spun around again, the stony surface spinning but it all looked the same. ”Want me to show you a spell my mum showed me?” A bold grin surfaced as he dug through his robe pockets to find his wand and then pointed the tip down at his robes and cast, ”Coloromuto,” a thin jet of red light shot at the trim of his robes and the color shifted to a vivid dark blue to match her own. ”Look, now I'm a Ravenclaw too.” He mused cheekily. ”You try it,” he gestured, taking a moment to repeat the pronunciation for her. ”Just point and say it...”

LOCATION » Dungeon chamber. COMPANY » Tristan. WEARING » Ravenclaw uniform. OOC » House swap! Sophie's mouth opened without her knowing as she looked around the vast chamber they had entered, almost starting to relax as she examined the area and wondered what used to be down here and why there wasn't anything anymore. As Tristan retorted with a tease, she couldn't help but give a snort of amusement as she replied in turn with a smile, "Apparently. Why do you all get such a bad rap anyway?" In the short months she had been here, she had gotten some of the feel of House politics, though it was mostly just a general attitude.
As he mentioned that this would be a good space for practicing magic she nodded in consideration. "Nobody here to watch and judge or criticize you when you mess up a couple of times in a row..." Her wandwork was embarrassing at times...
She was peering down one of the many corridors that branched out from the chamber but only saw a dim light of a torch at the end when her companion suggested that they be ghosts and haunt the school for eternity if they died. The brunette smiled nervously at that and joked, "Do you think we could still attend class as ghosts? I heard there's a ghost that used to be a student..." That was a scary thought she just realized. That means that they died here... She shuddered before stepping a bit closer to Tristan as he looked around.
At Tristan's affirmation that there had indeed been a basilisk down here, no matter how long ago, her eyes widened and her shoulder bumped into his as she stepped even closer. "I-It's dead though, right? I mean, nobody would just leave that down here...right?" She asked more casually than she felt, eyes darting down every passageway. When he described it's size, she groaned, "Not helping."
He successfully distracted her though when he suddenly asked if she wanted to see a spell his mom had taught him and she nodded, curious. At his sudden 'transformation' she laughed and clapped her hands, the sound echoing around them. "That's so cool! You should totally try to sneak into the common room. If you can get past the portrait that is." Thinking of the riddle password and wondering if he would be able to answer correctly.
When he suggested that she try it, she blinked in mild surprise before reaching into her robe's inner pocket and pulling out her eleven inch Willow wand and mouthing the spell's word, whispering it under her breath to get it right before clearing her throat and considering what color to choose from before pointing her wand at her own robes. "Coloromuto." She honestly didn't expect to get it right on the first try, so when the blue of her robes turned to dark emerald, her expression morphed into a bright open mouthed smile. Holding her arms out and spinning she said, "Green was always my favorite color. Could I pass for a Slytherin? Hisssss." She laughed and wondered in the back of her mind if Duncan would care if she changed the color of his fur.

_______________________________________ Scarred fingers ran through the dark locks of his hair, brushing the strands away from his face and eyes as he peered about the dungeon room. ”Because of the war, mostly. The first and second wizarding war... it was about bloodlines and purity.” He explained, carefully plucking the right words from his mind. He didn't want to offend her, but he also didn't want to say anything that might bite him in the a** one day, being a Slytherin himself, it was bound to happen. Especially with purists like Sera; she was an Avery, part of the sacred twenty-eight. She could probably make his life hell with the other Slytherins, if she wanted to. Probably best to avoid her then, or at very least, try and stay on her good side. ”They wanted to “purify” the world, eliminate the muggleborns and enslave the muggles... It didn't work, and they were all sent to prison in Azkaban. But some of the pureblood families are still loyal, and they're always sorted in Slytherin.” He rolled his eyes a bit at that; he shouldn't be in Slytherin. Not really. He wasn't a pureblood, and no one in his family had ever been sorted with the snakes. Hell, his da's a Gryffindor and his mum's a Hufflepuff, that's not exactly 'Slytherin' material.
”Haha, exaaactly!” He snapped his fingers with purpose, pointing and winking at her as she weighed the idea of practicing down in the dungeons. Tristan wasn't the worst spell caster in the school, but dammit, he's certainly not the best. Some weeks are better than others, and some, are just doomed for disaster. ”Pffft, they can try and keep us out.... I heard there was a ghost who was a professor once, my mum says you can still find him in his old, empty classroom, just... teaching away to no one at all.” He shrugged his shoulders, then scrunched up his brows and wrinkled his nose. ”Not sure if she was kidding though, I never can tell with mum.” He shrugged his shoulders, albeit, this time a bit regretfully. He didn't want to lie to her, (especially since he wasn't even sure if he was lying.)
His expression blanched, if only for the moment when Sophie brushed against his shoulder, a waft of something sugary and sweet, shampoo maybe? Or perfume? Tristan couldn't decide. ”It's dead, don't worry. Soph, we're fine.” He smirked, trying to hide his chuckles behind a closed fist while she groaned. ”Sorry, sorry, couldn't resist.” Luckily, the wave of conversation seamlessly maneuvered with the change of tide.
”Haha, you look brilliantly Slytherin, if I do say so myself.” A toothy grin stretched and hands clapped together, her laughter must've been contagious, he joined in with her and couldn't seem to stop. ”Heh heh, alrigh' now watch this—Coloromuto, coloromuto!” He repeated, flicking his wand throughout the dungeons, a dash of bright blue painted the damp ceiling in a smattering circle five feet wide, then a dash of green streaked the dungeon floors in a wide circle beneath their feet, another succession of rapid fire bursts had the walls glittering in color, choosing individual stone bricks in the wall to be colored in reds, yellows, purples, and blues. ”There, now doesn't that look better? Much less dreary, don't you think?”

Sata Snow Slytherin~~~Third Year~~~Reserve Chaser~~~PureBlood We are who we are ~ This is going to be soooo good. Even if we are not who we want ~ No one Or where we want ~ Dungeon Chamber Sata smirked to himself as he started maneuvering wires. He had watched the same fifth year walk through this dungeon a million times so far this year. Studying or something. But you know what it made for Sata? A brilliant place to put a trap for the older girl. He couldn't help himself this time.Sapphire wasn't there to poke her nose into everything. It made it much easier to work in the peace and quiet. He had maybe... Two hours until the girl would appear. And his trap would be perfect. He set several places where a spell or two would probably make it's way into a bucket and then a lovely ooze would fall. Hopefully just there. He was writing things into a notebook for precise measurements. He wanted to make sure he got her and got her good. Sata finished the first bucket of ooze. Deciding against any trip spells and going straight for the comical trip wire. But in case that didn't work... Well, Sata had another idea for the older girl. and he started on that right away.
