Oburos's eyes widened and then he went over and caught Faye, pulling her close. "Shh . . . but it's my job to protect you. Will you let me? I can't protect you if you're going to go around attacking immortals . . . but you need to let me protect you instead of acting out." he murmured. "Do you trust me?" he asked.

Faye held him back. "S...Sorry." She said through shuddering breaths. "I...I trust you." She added she sniffled but didn't pull back. This was the first time she had any contact with anyone since she could remember she wanted to make it last a little longer.

"Feel better now?" Oburos asked, not letting go, sensing that she needed the contact.

With a small nod Faye eventually let him go. "Thank you." She said after a few tries. "Where to now?" She asked with a hesitant smile.

Oburos looked down at Faye and shrugged. "Training grounds I guess? There'll be fae there who can help you gain control." he said, nodding to himself.

With a slow nod Faye took his hand and with a smile and keeping eye contact stammered out. "Shall we go then?" Even though she was in the sun she wasn't burning. She figured as long as she maintained complete focus on Oburos then she wouldn't burst into flames.

Oburos nodded. "If you're willing to go, sure." he said, letting go of Faye, though he allowed her to hold his hand.

Faye nodded. "Don't like making things explode." She said then added. "No matter how pretty it looks at the time."

Oburos nodded. "Yeah . . . I don't like seeing things explode." he said, frowning a little.  

[Hikari_Mamo]

"I...won't explode you...you...are...friend..." Faye said sounding out the words. She wasn't used to speaking his language but she was catching on really fast.

Oburos smiled and then patted her head, ruffling her hair. "That's considerate, but I doubt you'll be able to." he said with a chuckle.

Faye's expression turned a little strange. Almost as if she wasn't convinced. "That's what mortal said, didn't mean to prove him wrong. He got me angry."

Oburos stared at Faye with no comprehension. "Um . . . what?" he asked, not really understanding her statements in the least.

"There was this human in the place." She waved her arm in the direction of where they'd come from. "He got me angry and then...he exploded."

Oburos nodded then, understanding. "Context. It helps." he muttered before smiling. "Well, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to explode me. I'm not very combustible." he said with a chuckle.
