Kifu scrunched up his nose. "I have..." he meant to say nothing, but he heard Nisha wandering off, slowly. He sniffed the air again, not smelling anything distinctive but her. The wild dog followed her anyway, trusting she would not be acting so oddly if there was not something of interest involved.
((The randomizer is broke, I've decided.))

[[ I agree. RNG has died. ]]
Nisha's right ear twitched as she just barely registered Kifu following her. She was hopeful that the wild dog's senses, more keenly developed in the absence of his sight, would be able to pick up the phantom trail she was following.
She wasn't even sure if she should trust her own body, at this point. It could easily be being muddled by the storm.

((From this point on, you may roll 1-50. If this does not improve things in the next couple days, I will re-randomize their numbers, using a smaller max number.))The poor baby is too frightened to even squeak! The noise, the light, the rain! Terrified, this little one isn't even staying in one place, making it all the more difficult to find. It has darted from the dubious shelter of a low-growing tree towards what it thinks might be its mother... wait, no! That's a big scary lion! Other big forms loom out of the darkness, scaring the genet cub even more. Oh help! Blindly, the baby darts to a new hiding place, shivering with cold and fear.

((I'LL TAKE IT!))
Kifu was not picking up on whatever trail Nisha found. Maybe they were both too exhausted by now? Or too saturated on the little one's scent?
Then Kifu's nose exploded with baby genet. His head whipped around, "There, over with the huddle!" And the wild dog scampered to try and track it.

The rescued baby genets were sleeping in a happy pile of brown, tan, peach and white fur. The mother had stopped yelling obscenities for the time being, but suddenly she was on the move. She darted between Esteryti's paws and out in the stormy night.
It appeared the mother had decided these large predators weren't a danger for now and she had soon caught up with the rescue party. Her gaze darted between the two closest animals. A dog and a leopard. With a mental shrug she laept up on the back of the dog.
"You see babies?" she asked. Not realizing how silly that question was.

Kifu had to snicker to himself just a little bit at the question. "I don't see anything, but I hear little feet scurrying," he cocked his head to the side, hoping a different angle would help him pin down where he was hearing it from. "Somewhere near here." There was still so much commotion, tracking their scent was proving difficult.

The genet rose up on her hind legs, balancing precariously on the dog's back. Her ears and nose moved, but she seemed to have trouble pinpointing the scents and sounds as well. The rain both amplified and muddled the scents. Everywhere smelled like wet genet babies.
"You look better," she demanded, still not realizing that this was an utterly useless suggestion. "We find."

This was definitely a very interesting change in events. It seemed the mother was finally starting to trust them. Kifu looked over his shoulder, even if he could not see the genet, and nodded, "Yes, we'll find them."

[[ Omg, Thank you lol ]]
[[EDIT: You won! Congrats. I guess.. I get to rp with myself XD; ]]
Nisha was already on the move when Kifu exclaimed; squinting her eyes against the downpour, she had seen a flash of movement. A small shadow had darted toward the main group, then stopped short and darted away again.
She rushed toward it on Kifu's heels. Her paws faltered briefly when the mother genet suddenly appeared on her wild dog friend's back, but quickly regained her pace. She doubted that anyone would have picked up on her start - except maybe Kifu, with his keen hearing.
Nisha listened to the short conversation for a while before finally putting her two cents in. "We're searching as hard as we can, you have to trust us. We won't let anything bad happen." She had to restrain herself from pointing out that Kifu was blind. It wasn't her place, and besides, it really wouldn't help.

Standing up and shaking her green pelt, she chuckled as she knew this would require the last child to be found. Walking the same way the mother genet went, she came across two unknown others and smiled to them softly, though she was limping slightly, since she injured her front left paw. Seeing they'll need more pairs of eyes, she might as well try again, but this time, she was doing it for the others since she's already taken care of her part.
(Gonna help you get it, but not trying to win again. :3 Can't let you be left alone since he won, now can i?)

Lt Gnatty-Bug Congrats! Uncerts will be provided after the game is done! "You find! You find!" Viverri cooed and jumped down from her perch on Kifu's back. She sniffed her daughter to make sure the shivering little genet was all right. The kit was wet from the rain, but she purred when she felt the familiar scent of her mother. When Viverri was satisfied she grabbed the baby and scampered back up on the dog's back.
"Back now!" she ordered.

The wild dog had not even realized he had found the little baby at first, he had been so used to searching. But the jumping and the cooing took him out of his slight stupor. "Okay, back it is!" Kifu walked, slowly as to not jostle the mother and her baby, back toward her den, happy to finally deposit one of the little creatures to its siblings, safe and hopefully dry in the near future.

Nisha smiled warmly at Kifu and nodded; "Go, take the mother and baby back. I'll keep looking with Pell. Thank you for your help, Kifu, you did great."
Turning back into the heart of the storm, Nisha raised her muzzle slightly and opened her jaws to draw air over her tongue. A slight tang of wet genet baby led off in the direction the small group was facing. It seemed that two of them had been traveling together, but the second had run off when the larger animals approached, not recognizing it's mother on the back of the wild dog.
Nisha turned to her new search companion. "I think the last baby went this way," she said, jerking her head slightly to indicate. [[ Thanks so much, guys lol I'm not at home right now, so I won't have the rp color. ]]
