Beau would pat himself down and examine the area around him for the stuff he had brought, finally finding a parka that he had grabbed. Nodding his head at the article of clothing, Beau would pack the entire pack before shouldering it and beginning to make tracks towards Scarabee Rock. "Well, lets move then. I'd hate for both of us running for it to turn into you getting pampered and me crucified."

Tesei Utakata Beau would pat himself down and examine the area around him for the stuff he had brought, finally finding a parka that he had grabbed. Nodding his head at the article of clothing, Beau would pack the entire pack before shouldering it and beginning to make tracks towards Scarabee Rock. "Well, lets move then. I'd hate for both of us running for it to turn into you getting pampered and me crucified." "Take a good look, there is a good chance we may never see La Ruche again, or at least for a very long time." Larrimore told Beauregard as he gazed upon the village below for an extended period of time. The Pinsir hybrid would have no idea how right he would be, for he would go years before seeing his village again. "Let's go." With that said he turned around, adjusted his Metapod/Kakuna shell composite armor, and began to walk down the other side of the falls leading away from La Ruche and towards Scarabee Rock, following after Beauregard. ---- "Goat." Snorted one of the Gogoat as it took notice of the two Bug hybrids approaching. The other gave a brief glance at the approaching young men and continued to nibble away at the grass. "Now remember, we need to make it at least into the heart of the Ardennes before night fall. The dense forest will conceal us and protect us from the cold night winds that blow at night from Mamoswine Road. We'll find a good spot to camp and then set off first thing in the morning for Mamoswine Road. Before the forest gives away we'll set free the Gogoat. They'll survive in the Ardennes just fine for the rest of their lives, or perhaps they'll find their way back to La Ruche. Either way they'll be fine." Larrimore reassured Beauregard after strapping his bag onto and then climbed upon the back of one of the Gogoats, he knew how big of a soft spot the butterfly boy had for creatures and critters. "Aller!" Larrimore shouted to the Gogoat as he grabbed it by the horns, the Mount Pokemon bellowing as it began to prance away with the Pinsir hybrid on its back.

Beau gave a once over of La Ruche as Larry began to walk towards where their mounts were currently. While he felt glad to be leaving the place behind, it almost didn't feel real. Him and his best friend were going to go into Kalos, take it by storm, and get them back into a place of good standing. Maybe if the people in La Ruche knew what hey were doing, they might help but it was easier to leave them without any knowledge, Keep them safer. Giving a few flaps of his wings to take off after Larrimore, Beau kept an eye on the sky for any of the more mobile hybrids that might be in pursuit.

Walking up to the remaining Gogoat, Beau would carefully run his hand along the Pokemon's spine before scratching under its chin. Giving a smile to the Grass type, the Vivillon hybrid would swing up onto the mount's back before giving a soft few pats on the Pokemon's flank before grabbing onto its horns and taking off after Larry as quickly as the Gogoat could move.

Tesei Utakata Walking up to the remaining Gogoat, Beau would carefully run his hand along the Pokemon's spine before scratching under its chin. Giving a smile to the Grass type, the Vivillon hybrid would swing up onto the mount's back before giving a soft few pats on the Pokemon's flank before grabbing onto its horns and taking off after Larry as quickly as the Gogoat could move. The two would travel along the harsh unforgiving Ardennes for a good hour. The land was rough and compromised of many large hills and dense woodland and while they've wet to make it that far there were even numerous ridges and cliffs with huge drops. There was a reason their people were thrown on the other side of this harsh terrain, it acted as natural barrier to keep them away from Kalos civilization. Right now they found themselves in the woodland. "Stop." Larrimore suddenly called out to Beauregard, doing his best to keep a low voice while still speaking loud enough for the other hybrid to hear him. "Something very strong and very angry is close." He said, pointing to a freshly snapped pair of trees. The point of which they were snapped was much too high for something to ram into them. No, these looked like something literally grabbed them and snapped them like popsicle sticks. "Any idea on what?"

Beau would ride close to the snapped trees as Larry pointed out the two destroyed plants. Squinting at the point where both trees had snapped and the ground nearby, Beau found himself slowly reaching a conclusion. "Trees snapped too high for ramming to have done it. Pokemon must be at least human-sized, probably bigger given the size of the trees. Claw marks on the trunk say an ursine type Pokemon, but the claws are too close together for a traditional paw shape." Backing up to where Larry had stopped, Beau continued, "I'd say a Pangoro did this. Keep an eye out. Hate to have to blow it up right in front of us. Scorch marks do not come out of clothing easy, let me tell you."

"We probably should have taken one of the Pokepedia's before we left. I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of Pokemon we both aren't familiar with." The Pinsir hybrid mused. "Let's go." With a heel tap against the side of his mount the hybrid began to journey deeper into the woods. Or at least, that was the idea before a tree came falling down towards them. "Watch out!" Larrimore shouted as he jumped off the Gogoat, kicking it so it would run out of the way while the hybrid himself rolled to the side. "Pan pan!" Roared the giant panda Pokemon as it thumped its chest after knocking down another tree. Looks like Beauregard was right.

Beau would quickly heel his Gogoat as the tree came crashing down and almost panicked the mount before he found himself staring at an angry Pangoro. Great. This thing appeared to on a territory establishing tirade. Twirling his boomerang in his hand before smashing one of the berries on his small bandolier, the Vivillon hybrid would quickly coat the projectile in the fluid before letting a puff of Powder coat the ends of the weapon. Striking a match and igniting the fluid before hurling it, Beau would watch for a moment before the explosion sounded off in front of the Pangoro, aiming to topple the Pokemon or at least knock it off guard for a moment. All he needed was it distracted while he and Larry got moving and they were clear. No way the thing could keep up with a Gogoat at top speed. "Get your Gogoat, Larry! We are out!" Beau shouted, already spurring his forwards and reaching a hand to guide Larry's Gogoat the right direction over the fallen tree.

"On it!" Larrimore shouted as he jumped to his feet, racing towards the Gogoat as fast as he could. Once close enough he would leap onto the back of the Goat and heel it on the side to make it charge, he didn't plan on sticking around here any longer than he head to. As the pair raced off Larrimore would look behind them and see the Pangoro giving chase, running on all fours. That said it would seem they were starting to leave it behind as the gap between them began to increase. "Looks like we're losing it. Those things can't use any long range moves, can they?" He asked, panting slightly as he was out of breath. Before he knew it though the Pangoro had stopped chasing and it was beginning to disappear from sight.
"Okay, care to explain what we did to make it mad?" He asked Beauregard.

Beau would begin cackle wildly as the explosion went off and the pair took off with the Pangoro in hot pursuit. Taking a moment to peek back and see how close their pursuer was, a loud crack would echo as a hunk of wood returned to him with char marks and vengeance to slam into his face. Clumsily catch the boomerang as it fell away from his face, Beau would wave the hunk of wood in a taunt as the Pangoro began to fade into the distance. "Sucker! This is what happens when all ya got is insults and fists!"
Letting out a chuckle as the Pangoro faded from sight, Beau would glance over at Larry. "Well, we might have stumbled through a young one establishing territory. Y'know, breaking trees and making a show of its strength. Can't be any others in the area or it woulda been fighting them, not being aggressive and breaking random trees. He'll hang back now, keep to his territory showboating rather than risk chasing us into another guy's territory."

"Well that's reassuring...but I'm willing to bet that plenty of this forest is already claimed by Pokemon just like that one." Larrimore commented to Beauregard. "Looks like the sun will be setting soon." He said, changing the subject as he pointed towards the near setting sun in the sky. "We should find a good place to make camp and get some rest. Tomorrow will be a long and hard day." He warned the other hybrid.

Beau would give a wicked grin to Larry as he spoke about the possibility of more Pokemon like that. If they could lure them into the path and drive them nuts with anger, any pursuers would get one hell of a surprise. "So then. Where we stopping to sleep then? I'm gonna say you might not want to do it out on the road here, but who am I to assume?" Beau retorted with, watching for a moment before pointing to a few trees. "There. Those trees look good enough to sleep under." Spurring his Gogoat in their direction without consulting Larry, the Vivillon would take off for supposed safe spot.

"Looks good enough for me. We'll have to sleep in turns, however." The hybrid said to Beau as he led his Gogoat to the spot Beauregard pointed out. "One of us will have to keep watch while the other sleeps. If not for looking out for minions of the king but also for wild Pokemon. There is a reason why the Pokemon League forbids trainers from coming in this direction." Larrimore pointed out.

Looking down and watching as his Gogoat settled itself in, Beau prepared himself for first watch and using the last bits of light as best he could from his perch.

Looking down and watching as his Gogoat settled itself in, Beau prepared himself for first watch and using the last bits of light as best he could from his perch. "Okay, so that on top of what I said. That better?" Larrimore shot back himself at his hybrid ken. "I take it I sleep first then." He commented as he watched Beauregard take to the trees. "Wake me up in a few hours. If you feel like you'll nod off then also wake me up. A half awake watchman is worse than no watchman." The Pinsir hybrid said as he made himself comfortable on the forest floor, curling up as he attempted to get some sleep. The sun had just about disappeared over the horizon by now, hopefully Beauregard wasn't afraid of the dark.

Beau would keep his perch as the sun went down, doing his best to maintain some sight of the area. Well, as best as one can do when resisting that small voice in their head to get a light near them or cause something involving fire to happen. Eventually, Beau would grab a large pinecone from one of the nearby trees before dropping it towards Larry. "Your turn."
