Following a covert smirk of thanks for Juniper, Rabbit had procured his own pen and scrap of paper and gotten down to some shaky scribbling, attempting to assist even though he only grasped about 72% of what was going on. They were on the edge of dying, that much he knew, and he wasn't going to let that happen if drawing some configuration of symbols might help. He stopped abruptly as the phone fell, turning sharply to stare at it with wide eyes. That was some horror movie level s**t right there. When Shun picked it up, Rabbit went back to work, still listening as he did.

"Liam also slit the throat of one of the original three to break the cage. So I'm not entirely sure he'd be interested in fixing anything, either. Renard, as well, for that matter." At least, Temperance thought Juniper was implying they call them. She would not say who Ashley was. Not in Shun's hearing, at least. "They are all poor choices, and I don't think we should do anything with that phone, except perhaps toss it back out to the void." She turned back to the little group around, having only become distracted by Ashley's name.

"Sorry," she said, and: "Hi, Chester." She set hand atop Chel's, trying to ignore the pink-haired woman's comment (and failing); it made her flush a bit. "Wouldn't you have to take her to dinner first, though?"

"Tha older lady in the 20s - she said we can't reuse s**t," she said to Zac. "Had a whole booka stuff." Preacher had no idea how Shun knew that, though. She shrugged and twirled her pen.

"I still feel like tha sigil's gotta have an element of a protection-y feel to it, y'know? Right now, best bet is collect all the wannabe symbols and put it to a ********' vote. Let's democracy this s**t." And the phone dropped and she stared at it.

"Magic phone... Shun, send someone a d**k pic. Liam's the weird dude, Renard's the other weird dude, but Ashley sounds like a babe."

Placing her free hand over Temp's, America answered, "Fellow named Gloom. If you see him in the Other Place, he's a helpful person. He'll guide you right if you need it."

Chel and Temp got a flirty wink and grin.

Inhaling deeply and then slowly exhaling, the girl's voice changes slightly, going a bit softer and calmer. "Now we give it meaning and the power to act on it. There's safety in shadows, and I want you to think on that. Think on the secret places, hidden away, that you can just tuck in to. Think about shelter, the hidden places that keep you safe. Think about a haven, a little place to escape to, to find comfort in." Around them, the shadows seem to shift slightly, waiting.

As she spoke, they'd grow aware of the presence and movement of their own magic as well as America's. Bright, warm, and comforting, America's magic had a homey feel to it as it coaxed and guided their own to expand and expand, until it felt fit to bursting and then, "Now push it into the symbol," a narrowly focused point of power.

The symbol glowed, blazing with magic and meaning.

There was a pause as Preacher suggested he send a d**k pic. And he just sort of stared at her incredulously. And then he just decided to move on to the topic of the names in the phone. He didn't trust any of them.

"These are all terrible choices to call. Renard is the one who started this whole damn mess. No telling what he might try to do if given the chance. Liam is his husband and probably very much on his side. And the third is too much of a wildcard."

“Great, let’s not call them then, honestly they will probably just throw more ideas into this mix, this will take longer and while we might regret choices we make here, at least they will be ours and not us trying to guess what parts fit into agendas we barely know or understand. Hell, do we even know who that last name is? It would be stupid to call someone we didn’t know because then we’d know even less about them and the s**t they want.”

He rubbed his arms, anxious.

“Let’s pass around a paper, people can vote to which symbol to use, then we can try it alright? Top three choices, we can assign points to level of preference if they run close, or just see which one gets the most votes as people’s top choice.”

"d**k pic, d**k pic. Ashley still sounds like a babe. Do it, Shun." Then Preacher fished around in her pocket for another bit of paper. This one was clearly torn from a spiral notebook at some point and conveniently lined.

"Alrigh'. Everyone write down ya name and the top three symbols you'd want in a sigil. I'll tally 'em all up and we jus' use the pop'lar ones." She shoved the paper and a pen at someone.

Please have your characters each take the paper and write down the three symbols they wish to use in the sigil. Pass it back to Preacher and we will tally and go with that as the final sigil symbol choices. Arrangement will come later, so don't worry about that, just write the three symbols down and quote me.

Taking the paper next, he took some time to mark what his choices were.

Alexis just frowned at the mention of a d**k pic, teeth digging jagged lines into their lip - it was the look of someone who knew there was a time and place for d**k pics, but this probably wasn't it, and if it was they were the greatest fool in the universe.

They reached over to take it from Shun, focused, and scribbled down tree, moon, key.

She flushed at America's wink and tried to ginore the world around them. She heard people talking, a vote - but it could wait just a bit. Just a bit. Temperance focused on soft, secret places. The places she'd gone to when she needed to hide or not be found. It was weird, but she began to feel it, too.

There was a sort of warm feel that was distinctly not her - she wondered if this was America - and something else that danced on the edge of her feeling, like a ribbon caught in a breeze. It floated, iridescent, and she tried to catch it to push it down. Temperance blinked as it became heavier, more like a liquid. Down, down, down.

"H-how-" And her voice felt out of place. "How do we know it's done?"
