3. DAVlD DUCHOVNY (Keran) Positive: There were more layers and texture put into the dress which was great to see, and the idea of goblin was a good one. Negative: Good as the goblin idea was, the execution just didn't translate. This skin color was not flattering for Keran's features, and it really hurt the look. Arm mod also wasn't a great choice.
4. x_suicide_is_inevitable_x (Ebony) Positive: This skin was a near perfect choice for how well it compliments Ebony's features, especially her hair. It was also a wonderful description. Negative: The shading on the face caused by the skin almost looks like a beard. Some of the items on the lower half and the wings also layer a bit oddly for some of the judges.
6. khionna (Veronica) Positive: All of the judges were impressed by the bold skin choice, and the idea of turning Veronica into a firefly was a unique one. Negative: The brown hair doesn't really go with the skin and the black and white theme, it looks out of place. Some of the black on black is a little dark as well and loses some of the details.
10. Tink_Bel (Zahara) Positive: Tink, you've just been killing it lately, and this is no different. You know how to work with Zahara, and giving her such a pale skin and still making her look incredible really shows your skills. Also your knowledge and application of colors and items on Gaia in those color schemes is superb. Negative: The treasure matches the color scheme excellently, but looks a little bit more like dirty wool than treasure. The arm mod also brought up similarities to Ren's earlier entry, and at this stage, there was probably another arm mod that could have been picked. It nearly cost you the win.
11. METTAT0N (Brooke) Positive: The shades of pink chosen were excellent on Brooke, and your skin mod choice emphasized her eyes in a beautiful way. Brooke really is beautiful. Negative: For a skin mod challenge would have preferred to see a more bold skin choice than just this pink shading. The terrarium also cuts off the feet in an odd place, and the crystals feel kind of clumpy. It's a good thought and a good start, just lacking some of the finesse with the final decisions for the execution.
13. RENstrawberry (Madison) Positive: The judges absolutely loved this skin and seeing one so bold be embraced. Madison is a sexy demon, and we were all here for it. Negative: This was simple af. Madison looks great and is a sultry demon. But she looks like a sexy demon we've seen before. The skirt and leg mod also layer oddly, which for such a simple look, really makes it stand out.
14. Kiwi Cannoli (Daphne) Positive: This was a great skin choice, it compliments Daphne's pale features while still being an obviously different skin tone from her usual color. It's also nice to see a fairly dynamic pose and having a sense of movement. Negative: We wanna see her face. This also needed some kind of spark, something that really made us go wow. This was a great look and there was nothing technically wrong with it, but it just didn't blow us away. Take it to the next level.
15. egggoat (Xoco) Positive: The judges really liked this look overall, and all of us loved that it was a bold skin that isn't seen often. Xoco looks like a bad a** babe surviving and thriving after the end of the world as we know it, and we love it. This look lead to more debate among than the judges than anything else has this cycle, which was great to see. Negative: Again, face was a little covered and dark. The background also divided the judges with some loving it and some wishing you'd gone with something else.

War! What Is It Good For?
Model: Zahara
Designer: Tink_Bel
Description: Zahara is blasting her way into battle with a dragon shaped gun over her shoulder and a bad a** attitude. Her outfit reminds me of a post-apocalyptic wasteland scene, kind of a Mad Max vibe. I went with the Thirsty color scheme to make Zahara pop while still looking battle ready. I chose the explosion in the background for the orange tones that 'cause the blue and greens in the outfit to really pop. The rocks in the background also match Zahara's skintone to tie the whole piece together. All together, I think this outfit looks strong and explosive, and over all just bad a**. wink
She crouched down and quieted, placing her bat behind her head: the natural resting pose that had been ingrained in her since she was a child. As she stilled her beating heart and slowed her breath, she waited for the sound to come again. There had been a thud, one that sounded like a hard object coming into contact with something soft, like a human. She changed her mental focus to her R.O.S. and tapped into the feed it was constantly sending her. It had infra-red capabilities and could see through this ever present smog that strangled the lower city. Her surroundings came into focus just as someone darted out of an alley close by. For a split second, she was hesitant to chase them; she had been hoping for a quiet night.
I really wanted to use a bat as a weapon since I love how simple they are and how expressive you can be with them while just walking around, gesturing. I originally wanted to use The Little List bat but I felt like it limited me too much since it comes with a hooded sweater that took up half of the avatar and didn't give me room to really do much beside add legs. So I went with this idea which is a little cyberpunk-ish. I liked the idea of blending old tech (bat/club) with new (robot/cybernetic enhancements). I added the smoke since I wanted to have the feel of a more desolate world and the softness of it works well against the hard lines of the robot. I added the white lines on her face because I imagined that in the future, our warpaint might look a little different than what we have now and that it might even be able to signal something, it is both tribal and futuristic

🎶Hire A Samurai 🎶 Model: Ebony Designer: METATT0N
This unfortunately is the end result of a lot of technical difficulties. I lost several undo states and many of my ideas went down the drain... but I'm not too mad about this look either. I've never used this purple before and I'd like to explore it further sometime.
I noticed that other contestants had decided to opt into modern and futuristic styles, so I decided I wanted to do something from the past. Since I've already done a semi-medieval look with my sexy final boss in the gold/silver challenge, I decided feudal Japan was the next best option.
The word hāfu (ハーフ, half) is used in Japanese to refer to somebody who is biracial with half Japanese ethnic origin. (wikipedia) And since she doesn't look east asian at first glance, I decided that would be my angle here. Hafu come in a wide variety of appearances, including Afro-Asian.
I struggled a bit with colors and posing in this, as I wanted her to very obviously have a sword, but many of the sword poses either hid them at the side (even from back views!) or were designed for the base arms pose system. And I was afraid I would lose points for not using body mods? So I went with this, and also added another sword at her back.
"Spirit of the Amazon" Designer: khionna Model: Veronica
Description: The wound from Veronica's dagger is deep, but you think you can make it if you get away now. You finally see your chance and land a decent blow to her face. Startled, Veronica steps back and wipes the blood from her cheek. While she's caught off guard you make a a break for it. Will you get away in time?
For this challenge I transformed Veronica into an Amazon warrior. Looking at my weapon options, I didn't want to go for a stereotypical war entry. My first idea was a more post-apocalyptic theme, but as entries came in I noticed that was a popular theme so I decided to find another route. Then it came to me. I absolutely love tribal themed avatars and this was my chance to make one!
Even though Veronica is dressed as a tribal warrior, I wanted to put her in colors that would pop. Teal, orange, and whites seemed to work well. The brown adds a natural, neutral tone which helps balance her hair color and pulls the outfit together.
I started off with the top. Layering two different tops together to give the color combination that I was looking for.
Next, I went searching for a bottom. When I found these pants they were perfect! I added a few smaller details to help them match a little better and they looked exactly how I wanted them to.
Then I went looking for accessories. I have come to learn (through this competition) that most hats/headbands/headdresses/etc do not cooperate with the Snuggly Buddy hair and layer oddly under the bangs. With that in mind I started looking for something that would layer properly. I love how the feather in her hair helps pull the colors together while adding a small detail to help accentuate the theme of my entry. It even looks like the feathers are attached to the ends of the small braid on the side of her head. I love the face paint from Bird of Paradise and this seemed like a great opportunity to incorporate it into an entry. I love how it helps pull the tribal theme together.
After that, I needed a weapon. I noticed that she has a dagger strapped to her belt, so I thought it would be great to use a dagger as her main weapon as well. It's not large, but it packs a punch. She is fierce and ready to fight!
In order to help explain why she was dressed in this manner I wanted to put her into a rain forest type setting. Her outfit does well at standing on its own, but I feel that the background helps show her in her natural element.
I'm confident that this entry does well at showcasing fierce warrior while also keeping fashion in mind.

Stand your ground Designer: Kiwi Cannoli Model: Brooke
Fire, fire everywhere. Everything's burning yet I'm still here. No matter, I'll stand my ground until the end. At first I wanted to do a more futuristic/modern outfit for this challenge, but I couldn't find a weapon that looked good or didn't clip thru Brookes hair. I scarped that idea and decided to go for a more medieval style. I'm not really use to making armored avis so maybe I'm just not typing in the right tag but I had a lot of trouble finding armor items that looked good on Brook. I eventually found this leg mod and went with Independensea scheme of it. From there I layered together a top and head accessory. I had to change the arms last minute because the first one clipped thru her dress and I almost didn't notice. I decided to go with a detailed bg for this, and I like it, I like how the warm tones make the cooler one stand out.
Crouching Killer, Hidden Beauty Designer: x_suicide_is_inevitable_x Model: Daphne Description: One of the first rules of assassination is "be unseen" - if your location is revealed before the elimination is completed, the mission is compromised. Daphne knows all the tricks in the book - look as unassuming as possible when in large crowds, don't wear jewelry, keep to the shadows and unused rooftops when sniping - but that doesn't mean she can't look good on the job. And while the agency has been good to her, they could use a little help in the fashion department. Black suits and sunglasses are so yesterday.
I loved working with Daphne this time, even if it took a while to find which colors looked good on her. I really wanted to show her in a darker setting, less "white knight" and more "killer for the greater good," so I first looked for a weapon that would fit in a modern setting. I went through a lot of guns before settling on this one, which has a laser sight and isn't too big for her to conceal on her person. The next thing I had a hard time finding was some good legs, because I was searching for a mod that had her half-kneeling but would make her hard to spot if not actively looking for her. I ultimately went with the camouflage pants since they're used for, well, camouflage. The hood was chosen in order to cover Daphne's hair, as it would be easy to find among dark buildings even on a moonless night, and the cape draped over her contributes to the sense of both the stillness in the air and the steadiness of her aim. I also gave her a utility belt to hold extra ammunition and a headset to keep in contact with base.
I was little surprised we were allowed to use face paint this time, but extremely glad, because Gaia doesn't have much in the way of plain black masks, and not even one ski mask. I found it almost ironic that it was the Deadpool parody item that had what I wanted - black face paint to break up the brightness of Daphne's face. Her makeup, being a pale red, works well with the outfit and seems as though it is less saturated due to the shadow from the hood and having been applied over the black paint.
I'm happier with this entry than I thought I'd be when I started it. (:
Well, this sucks. I deleted my previous post by accident (pressed the wrong button after zooming out on desktop) and posted the new one too late by a few seconds. I'm almost certainly out. Dang it, but this isn't the first time I've screwed up with time, and I can't blame this one on Gaia.

4. x_suicide_is_inevitable_x (Daphne) Positive: This has a love child of Harley Quinn and Deadpool vibe, and it works. Daphne looks entirely different this week which is great to see! The weapon and pose also work great together. Negative: Daphne kind of looks like she's got some double eyebrows going on, and with such a dark look, it's hard to appreciate some of the details.
6. khionna (Veronica) Positive: Veronica is a colorful forest warrior and I love it. Reminds me of the way the movie Pan did the Neverland natives. The abs and details like that work well this week, and these daggers are ideal weapons for this girl. Negative: The war paint is a little pretty and borders on just being make up, would have liked to see it roughed up a bit.
10. Tink_Bel (Zahara) Positive: Zahara looks amazing in this color scheme, and the way you've matched them gives off a bit of a video game vibe. Especially with the oversized gun. Negative: Zahara doesn't really look like she belongs in her scene though. For the explosions happening behind her, she looks a bit too bright and clean, and like she's standing out as an easy target. The gun also doesn't look super believable as a lethal gun? More like it blows bubbles.
11. METTAT0N (Ebony) Positive: Going for a feudal Japan inspiration was great and gave some variety to this week's entries! The top and gloves pair great with the swords, and look good on Ebony. Negative: This does not say armed warrior. If she had been holding one of the swords it probably would have been better, as it is she looks cute with sword accessories. The purple is also a very bold purple to have in one solid spot and not have anywhere else. Makes the bottom feel awfully heavy.
13. RENstrawberry (Madison) Positive: Good luck on your gallery! Everyone here as Project Cawalk looks forward to seeing more of your work soon. heart Negative: No entry :(
14. Kiwi Cannoli (Brooke) Positive: Brooke is absolutely stunning. These colors are great on her, and they way you've layered and built things up is impressive, and it is wonderfully balanced. The haze also adds a nice touch! Negative: The background appears to be frosted in one corner and on fire in the other. At first glance it was great but the more it's looked at it just gets kind of weird. This is very clean and pretty, and gives the look and sword almost more of a ceremonial feel. Would have liked it to feel lethal.
15. egggoat (Xoco) Positive: Xoco looks like a street chic badass, and I wouldn't want to cross her. In a movie she'd be the character to drop down from some roof out of nowhere, lending a helping hand, and then leaving the person confused for the rest of the movie if she could actually be trusted because she's so rough and tough. The bandanna was a great choice to work around the hair. She also fits into the background wonderfully. Negative: The face paint might have been better in a different color, or with more of a purpose.
Description: At first glance, the facial expression of this model was pure excitement and joy. I wanted to convey that wondrous expression throughout the piece. It looks as if she's reaching forward to catch the stars swirling around her. Without the assistance of a background, I wanted to convey a sense of floating in the air. I used her hair color to choose the color scheme, which is a mixture of cream/rosette, ivory, and peacock blue. I think these colors both blend and contrast with the model's presets. This was an interesting experiment for this contest, as most models have a very neutral expression; whereas, this model has a preset mood. Overall, this was fun! I think she's an adorable little duckling.
The Extra Duckling Model: Duckie Designer: METTAT0N Description: First of all how dare y'all call this adorable queen ugly. I love her so much I gave her a name.
Secondly, I was extremely determined to make the arms-up pose in 1-UP Superstar work. Failing that, I found a nicer jacket and... decided I wanted to go ham. Noticeably ham. Memorably ham. Undoubtedly ham. And I feel that demoncandy is the colorscheme one must default to should they choose to go ham. The moment I put the Demonic Daikusagi bow on her, I started feeling a very strong Kizuna Ai vibe, and really wanted to keep it. I'm not actually sure if it matches but I love it too much to let go.
Her boots are pretty weird, and almost remind me of big fuzzy legwarmers! She seems like the kind of fun quirky girl who would wear something absolutely wild and left-field like this on purpose. Maybe she's going to a rave, or an anime convention? She seems like a really fun girl at a party with super wacky niche interests. And of course... she's very extra.
I have deigned to include an item list so that there is no doubt that I have not changed any of her features!
"Wait.. that's ME!" Designer: khionna Model: New Comer
Description: A new hopeful enters the room. She just knows that she can be a model too. All she needs is a good designer and a bit of a makeover, then she can be one of the top!
For this challenge, I wanted to put our new model into a very fashion forward outfit. She needed to 'transform'. I didn't want her to be frumpy or childlike, because a beautiful swan is just that.. elegant and beautiful.
This challenge was difficult for me. The hair was actually pretty difficult to work with.. which I really didn't expect. The pixeling style is just so different on older items than it is on the new, shiny things and it's a task finding something that meshes well with both. It was a nice challenge to work with though, and I appreciate that.
When working on the outfit, I started with the dress. I wanted her to be in something that was feminine and elegant but also somewhat casual. The dress is actually a combination of four different items instead of a solid piece.
Next I was working on the legs. After trying a few different leg mods I found the Lightbringer item and loved the way the legs looked with the dress. Since this item comes in a variety of colors it was easy to find one that would flow well with the over all look. I also love the look of the elegant sandals paired with an outfit that resembles a nice sun dress.
Next, her upper body seemed to be a bit bare. I loved how the jacket over her shoulder looks like she's modeling on the catwalk while also functioning as a statement piece. Pairing it with the ivory/offblack Lightbringer shoes just pulled it together even more.
Next I needed something for the head. This is where my difficulty with the hair came in. Nothing really layered well with the hair, and the things that did clashed in pixel style. After searching for a while I finally found the fruit hat. I feel that it compliments the outfit while adding in a fun element.
Lastly, I added the background. I like how it's simple but makes the avatar pop.
While creating this entry, I kept seeing her face as a look of surprise. It's like she is looking in a mirror going "OMG is that really me!?"

Tee Hee~ Designer: x_suicide_is_inevitable_x Model: "The Ugly Duckling" Description:Oh, darling~ Don't you remember what we said? "Forever." And I certainly meant it when I said I'd love you ẗ̷̨́o̷̪̿ ̵̜́d̴͋ͅe̴̢͘à̸̤t̵͔̎h̸̨́.
I wasn't sure where to go with this at first, since the face is so dramatic, but after procrastinating for several days a busy week, I came back to it and realized it's perfect for a yandere-type character, what with the wide, half-shadowed eyes. I started with the armmod, because I'd already decided to use one of the Obsessive Devotion items, and then moved onto finding a fitting legmod. I feel the one I chose works with the rest of her pose to portray an almost childish glee, but combines with the knife and blood spatter to create a sense of danger.
I used yellow and black because they're a high contrast combination, and yellow is both used as a warning and symbolic of an unstable mind. I particularly like the stark contrast between the flower and the white of the tights and gloves and the rest of the look, as it's much like her personality - sweet and innocent on the outside, but hiding the darkness in her: the truly insane depths of her "love".
Huh. I thought I was further behind than I actually am. And then I forgot to finish my post until half an hour before the deadline.
A Swan in her Natural Habitat Designer: egggoat Model: No ugly duckling here
When I first saw this challenge, I was really unsure of what to do. Her hair bothered me, with all of the changing shades (is it pink is it blond?) and the texture of it; so soft. I waited a few days for inspiration to come and it never did so I finally just had to throw a bunch of stuff at her and see what stuck. I wanted there to be a reason behind why her hair is the way it is and it looked kind of wet in a way and that, combined with her face, made me think she got caught in the rain and was super happy about it, as any waterfowl would be. I originally wanted to do something in mint green since that is the complimentary color for her hair, and it looked fine, but I started looking around in amaranth and found these items which I think look very well on her. I wanted a more tailored look to contrast the softness of her hair and I like that the colors are lighter than her skin and hair because it makes her features pop and it shows that she really isn't an ugly duckling at all. I really liked how it turned out.

Taking a stroll Designer: Kiwi Cannoli Model: Duckling Description: Umph, Ive been sick the past week, I was scared I wouldnt get it in on time.
When I first started I didn't even know where to begin so I started out using pastel colors on her. after awhile I scraped that and decided to use bolder colors on her.eventually I decided to go with poppy. The armmod was one the first things I found, I really like how it looks, it kinda looks like shes brushing the hair from her face. after that I cycled thru several different dress/ skirt combos until I found something I liked.
4. x_suicide_is_inevitable_x (Daphne) Positive: What a great description and thought! The avatar was nicely balanced, and definitely fit the look you were going for. Negative: The judges weren't sure this look really fit the challenge though, and the arm mod is overly used for yandere models. The colors also weren't the best options.
6. khionna (Veronica) Positive: This was the top look for all the judges, which doesn't happen often, so good job on that! You worked with the model and made sure everything matched her and the style of her features. Negative: It would have been nice if there was a little bit more black in the look, but it was just a little nitpick.
10. Tink_Bel (Zahara) Positive: This was a beautiful little fairy, and these colors were gorgeous on the model. She was light and fun, which was lovely to see. Negative: None of the judges got the sense she was floating on air, more like she was frolicking or playing somewhere? And we also thought the stars chosen were wrong. Small note as well: the shading on the legs and arms were different from each other, and different from her face and neck, which left every bit of skin looking like a different color. And at this point those little things definitely impact scores.
11. METTAT0N (Ebony) Positive: The silhouette is a very flattering and pleasing one, and it is very well balanced. You've made her look pretty cute, and very hip. Negative: This is a lot of this color scheme in one spot. It might have looked better on a different model with other features and coloring though.
14. Kiwi Cannoli (Brooke) Positive: The poppy color was a great choice and it's a good look, with a good pose. Negative: There is nothing technically wrong with the outfit. It's a bit cute. But mostly the only thing the judges really remembered it for was the poppy color. It was just a bit too simple for this point.
15. egggoat (Xoco) Positive: This was a great outfit, the colors were nicely balanced, and it was as well. The rain was a great choice. Negative: It's maybe a little too matchy. And this color is a bit too pale on the model, even a shade or two darker or more vibrant would be better.
