When she had taken that leap, she had been so sure that Lilith would fade away again, and that her paws would come up empty. Instead, she found herself snagged out of the air, albeit in a way that seemed almost gentle and caring, much like how her own mother had held her as a small child. She let out a surprised squeak, eyes going from narrow to wide, and her body stiffened beneath the sheet.
But then she caught the scent. A mixture of things that were familiar and not all at once, and yet somehow calming. She relaxed in that hold, then, as the soft smile of her great-grandmother somehow eased her nerves yet more.
The ghost's red eyes soon glimmered in response to Lilith's mischievous gaze, and when the question was asked the ghost's head cocked slightly to one side as if thinking, and then the other way as if not quite sure.
Lilith could not see it, but beneath the sheet was a wide grin, and soon the ghost's head, straightening, began to nod enthusiastically.
