TM1 - A Snagem Siesta in Paldea [Complete/Free Posting]

visibly frustrated with the bid, Deo would not let back. "13,000!" he would announce to the auctioneer. He also had a more determined look on his face as his fur would start to hum with electricity as he became more annoyed and determined.

Odd heard the auctioneer call out the item of the day and open bidding but felt he had no real concerns at the moment, he had three purified Pokemon that he could battle Shadow Pokémon with at the moment and rarely tried to do otherwise outside of locales that had wide range Immunizers of their own or with Lykas hearby.

He was amused by the other Snagems that chose to participate and hung back to see how this played out.

“Four-“ Wren started to make his own bid when another, far less masculine voice spoke over him.

“Fifteen thousand!” Clare called, their glass-like hand fully in the air, a bidding paddle they’d acquired from somewhere firmly in hand to assure they’d be seen. Wren could see the look on their face said they had no intention of holding back here, either and having learned of their vocation recently, he knew it would likely becoming a bidding war between them if they both went for it. So he put his hand back down and waited to see what happened from here. This could get interesting.

Looking over to see more of the snagems wanting this thing which Deo thought they already have, he would be a little annoyed to see them bidding him up. "16 thousand!" he would say with gusto. What was noticeable was the hum of his electricity was now audible.

As Deo was waiting, a call for 17 was heard. "ah darkness, no way I will let this happen" deo whispered to himself. As he lifted his hand and several sparks coming from it he yell "18,000" and it can be seen that he is starting to tremor and from that, sparks begin to form on the hand.

Aria would let a coy smile cross her face as Abby quickly set to swiping her way to the video she intended. :Aww, no shame if you aren't wanting to admit to anything yet. I'll be here when you're ready." Aria cooed, taking a look at the video Abby had apparently been intending. "Whats there to say? I have a moderately sized platform and our group had absolutely no one doing our social media. Someone had to step up and get our image out there to cut down on the stories, so I nominated myself and managed to do it for a month before GRAY informed Sub. Or did you mean something else?"

Reno would casually look towards the auctioneer and give a nod as he said, "19 thousand." He didn't desperately need it. But he could tell someone else had been eyeballing it and was lacking the funding to do so. So why not step in and spend some of his coin? He'd barely used it for anything ever since he had managed to get that bike out of the casino.

The three of us then made our way off into the market. Orderly looked over towards Doc Owl wondering what he had in mind. “This way, Orderly.” The Doc said, walking off towards Darts. “So, you are so quite ecstatic being here. I suppose nothing is stopping you as opposed to the trip to the Galar region, hm?”

Crystal would eye Darts after all of the fanfare that some of the other Snagems believed their arrival warranted. She wasn’t that huge of a fan herself, but at the same time, she knew her appearance was going to draw eyes no matter what, so at this point, she just had to roll with it. With the pageantry over, she’d follow everyone else, keeping quiet as people spoke up, merely occasionally glancing over in the Giratina hybrid’s direction. Once she saw Doc Owl blatantly approach him, she’d shrug and meander her way over to the pair. Looking up to the sky instead of at them, she’d simply chime in, “Speaking of that trip, hopefully this one is less exciting than Galar. Something befitting a more normal vacation.”

Darts looks back and forth between the both of them and then an open area nearby where everyone was making their way for some auctions, pretty clearly trying to decide whether or not to bolt. His masterful ruse hadn't fooled anyone, he was quickly discovering, and so now his best chance was to try and hightail it. But he shoots an askance look at Orderly in the middle of calculating his chances to get out of this situation... and decides to play it cool.

"Oh... yeah." He responds to Doc first, as they walk along the pathway through the market, vendors hustling and bustling around them. He pretends to check the pricetag on a giant sombrero, clearly continually trying to politely edge his way out of the conversation. "Yeah, last time we were in Galar I was off... handling some business elsewhere." He answers, incredibly tight-lipped around the situation. And despite his inner turmoil, he laughs at Crystal's comment. "You should know by now that wherever we go for vacation, hijinks are bound to follow." The shouts of the people at the auction were getting louder as it picked up in intensity, some familiar voices in the mix. He nods his crest in their direction. "See what I mean?"

Seeing that he was outbid again but this time by Reno. Deo would want to bid more, but as he was getting ready, a spark flew past his eye and he then just walked away, still sparking and decided to pat a iron flag pole which then he stopped humming and the spark went into the sky as like lightning. Deo waited to hear the thunder clap, but there was none. 'Note to self: try not to get worked up' Deo thought to himself. He then shouted "20,000" while trying to keep his nerves in check

Amber was having fun just watching the auction, wondering who would outbid the rest. She knew Deo really wanted the mushroom, and she couldn't blame him, but now it was time for her to step in and make her move. Oh, how she was going to enjoy this. Counting how many Snag coins she had, she gave a slight grin, then moved up to where she was standing a little to the side of everyone else. "21,000," she said.

"22,000!" Deo would yell, as he did he noticed that it was down to the wire, and that it was very, very close. Keeping his back to the flag pole as if he was to zap up again, it could be less of a problem.

"Going once...going twice...sold to the young lady for twenty-one thousand!" The auctioneer declared, banging his scrap iron-looking oversized gavel on the podium and then pointing it at Amber. Scattered applause and groans came from the crowd as well as a few ugly looks, they certainly took this auction seriously. A Crabominable would push its way through the crowd carrying the Balm Mushroom in a satchel around its neck, shooting threatening glares towards the bystanders to ward off any would be thieves.

The giant crab would make it to Amber and with a happy cry it lowered its arms and waited for Amber to take the Balm Mushroom from its satchel.

Amber grinned when she heard she had won the prize, and she could hear the groans from the other bidders. Judging from some of the looks she was getting from them, they were jealous she won, but she didn't much care how they felt. All that mattered was that she won, right? She watched the Crabominable approach, and when it lowered its arms so she could take the Balm Mushroom from the satchel around its neck, she gave a friendly smile. "Thank you, friend," she said, placing the Mushroom in a pouch she carried with her.

In the overall dispersal, Cera had decided to get herself lost in the market. Nothing had especially caught her eye yet, until hearing one of the vendors amongst those auctioning off items mention a Balm Mushroom. Though she already had an Immunizer herself- evidenced by the attachment to her Snag Machine after the whole Starmie incident- she did feel having a way for someone to get one themselves would be wise. That, or it'd make a decent snack. She did hear Balm Mushrooms were a decent cooking ingredient.

"23,000," she spoke up, hand raised and taking a second to realize a hand was slammed down on the booth and the item already won by Amber. "...oh." Slightly embarrassed, she quickly got herself lost in the crowds again.

A bit further off, Sol finally realized he'd ended up a few Snag Coins lighter and shook his head. "I know there was that agreement with Cera and Aden to just keep the funds pooled since we all end up using them, but maybe say something first?"

Monique, who had decided not to make a bid, had her hypothesis borne out. That was just too much money. She instead spent her time looking at the clothes and styles hawked by the non-food vendors; she didn't need to buy anything, but it was good to get a sense for Paldean fashion. If she had to cast an Illusion here, better to look like a native.
