Shichimaru "Gaia" is a Japanese word. Therefore, you must pronounce it how they would in Japanese. Here's the basic sounds: A - "aah" like "lor ax" I - "eeh" like "bl each" U - "ooh" like " ΓΌber" E - "eh" like "anim e" O - "oh" (I can't think of a word for this one.) Thus, you pronounce Gaia like "Guy-ah" Actually, Gaia is a Greek word. However, as far as I know, Japanese and Greek vowels, except "u", have similar sounds, so you can pronounce the word as a Japanese would do. 3nodding

Would you mind if I sat next to you and watched you smile?I pronounce it GUY-uh. My friend's parents pronounce it GAY-uh, which made me giggle when she told me.

I pronounce it as (GUY)-uh because I'm Mexican, so it is pronounced: guh-AH-ee-ah (say it fast, it's only one syllable).

I call it GUY Ah, because of the Final Fantasy Series and how they say it and also because Gaia means Earth (someone else said this) and Gaia as in the Earth is pronounced GUY Ah.
