Darn teh lighting! >w<
I'll work on that...usually it can be a little confusing...^^
Thanks for teh critique!

I almost always have issues with lighting when I color/shade. When I do computer drawings, I make a new layer (I use Photoshop 7.0) and draw a little sun. (Mine's ussually a big yellow swirl, some lines come out of it towards the character, and the sun gets kewl sunglasses xD). It helps me keep track of where the light suposed to come from. Ussually when I don't do that, my lighting gets all out of wack. Dx

What do you guys think? Is there anything I have to watch out for or that I can do to improve my eyes, apart from practicing? Got any pointers?

hmmm it's really hard to see much

think you can resize the images a bit smaller?

Maybe change the width to 800 and lock the proportions?

3nodding nice drawings indeed

I see you've used some construction lines on a few of them as well as that you're breaking up the fingers into segments. biggrin go ahead and do that with all the hands, even the ones with staright fingers. 3nodding even if a finger is straight it's still segmented.

Nice bit of perspective on the bottom left hand. surprised for the thumb keep in mind that the thumb kinda protrudes from the side of the hand with a bit of a triangle shape 3nodding So by drawing a square for the hand and a triangle stuck to the side of it, it'll help get the shape of the thumb down better 3nodding

Looks like you're doing a good job! biggrin I encourage you to continue drawing hands.

Well it looks like you apply the one thing I'd have to say about eyes already...

the upper and lower lids of an eye aren't peaked at the same point. Does that make sense?? The highest point in the arch for the lower lid and upper lid aren't lined up, they're shifted just a bit away from each other. XD;;; I dunno if I'm making any sense.

:3 mmh maybe draw eyes of different shapes as the next step? Like different eyes from different cultures. 3nodding or possibly working with the mucles around the eyes like when someone smiles or if someone is sad? biggrin so far I think you're rendering skills are very well done! I'd like to see you step it up and notch and really test your skills!

Let's see

I see you've got some overlapping and shading going on to create depth 3nodding Remember the underlying shapes when drawing. It'll really help your 2D images look and feel more solid and three dimentional

For example:

After laying down the construction lines, putting in the basic shapes will help flesh out everything. These shapes will help us get a more 3D feeling when we start to draw the characters. This'll help unflatten the characters in the scene. Good job with the overlapping at the joints of the arms and legs.

Naruto and Sakura are wearing clothes that cover most of their bodies, but even then, the clothes react to the shapes of their bodies. 3nodding so by keeping in mind all these shapes it'll help the clothing fall and fit around the forms better. I see you've got the clothes reacting to the shapes underneith in some areas already so you've got the idea. 3nodding
