Caitlin rested her head against Sam. She felt tears well up in her eyes and blinked them away. She didn't want to cry right now. Cait slipped the locket into her pocket. She'd look at it when she was alone. Not in front of her house. Real brave of her. She'd wait for the food to come, eat a little, then retreat to the common room before anyone else, so she wouldn't have to worry about to much unexpected company.

The only thing Sam could do here was to stroke her hair, so he did. Sam gently ran his hand over her hair. He began to hum a quiet tune, hoping the sound would help calm her. It was the lullaby his mother used to sing to the Meridith children when they were babies. A Muggle lullaby, so Sam was sure that Cait would recognize it.

Cameron raised his eyebrows in astonishment. "Seven hours?!" If he games at school lasted that long, Cameron was sure most of the chasers and beaters, if not all, would be knocked out by the time a seeker caught the snitch. "That's crazy!" he added. He nodded slightly to show he listened to what Cersei said. "Partying sounds fun," he admitted. Who doesn't like a good party? The boy squeezed Elli's hand slightly because he suddenly became nervous. "What? Oh, uh.." He turned his head to look at the redhead to see what she would say, but the stuttered as well. "Oh, no, we aren't dating," he said quickly and awkwardly. Are we? The two Gryffindor students flirted often, and they kissed on the lips, but that didn't mean they were going out, did it?

Caitlin felt Sam stroking her hair and closed her eyes. Then he hummed a muggle lullaby? How did he know it? Had he heard it from the muggle world? Either way, it was still rather comforting. Her stomach growled and she blushed. When was the food coming? Cait opened one eye and peered around, no food yet. She probably would have smelled it, but still. She wanted to make sure she wasn't missing anything.

Sam continued to hum the lullaby, repeating when he reached the end. He heard Cait's stomach rumble and cracked a smirk. He had eaten before he left for the station that evening, so he wasn't as hungry. Sam kissed her head again and closed his eyes, waiting for the end of Sorting.

Cersei paused, a commotion from the Slytherin table from the Ross siblings had conquered her attention for the moment. Carnal eyes lingering on Virgil wantonly.

"Do you think you can help me with quidditch practice?" She lied, she wasn't going to try out, neither did she need any help. She just... wanted to see what would happen. "I was thinking about trying out this year, and I was hoping you could help me out?" Cersei asked innocently enough, but, she was sure Elli would see right through it.

Cameron turned his head to see what the loud ruckus was and where it was coming from. Slytherin, of course, he thought with a slight roll of his eyes. He looked back at Cersei when she continued and hesitated before answering. "Uh, yeah, sure." He thought it was sort of odd how the girl wanted him to train her in Quidditch since he practically didn't even make the cut; however, he wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to teach it if someone who's seen him play thought he was actually a good player. Plus, he didn't think it would be a big deal since he and Elli made plans for tonight, not tomorrow.

Elli bit her lip when Cam said they weren't dating. She knew they weren't but she wished they were. She looked up when Elizabeth spoke and narrowed her eyes at the girl, glaring. She saw right through her act. This girl just wanted to try and get between her and Cam. Elli had enough trouble on her plate, having to fight against Caitlin who had a boyfriend let alone Cersei. This girl was beautiful. She could never be anything compared to her. She looked away, squeezing Cam's hand. She didn't want to lose him.

"Great!" Cersei exclaimed, seemingly oblivious of Elli as she reached forward and gently grasped Cam's upper arm again. "I'll see you around the quad after classes, thank you!" She smiled, low raspy voice dripping with honey as she smiled, her eyes transfixed on Elli as she glared over his shoulder. She could only smile. Tossing her hair over her shoulder, she left the two alone for now, bored eyes roaming for something to play with.

"Hey, welcome to Gryffindor," Cersei greeted a boy she swore she thought looked familiar. Veela lips spreading into a smile as she focused on Jacob. "I'm Elizabeth, but all of my friends call me Cersei."

"Haha!"She giggled, a grin spreading on her lips as she tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "Excited, huh?" She winked.

"That's okay, I was too. I'm a third year, and I don't really know anything about the electives, but classes are great! My favorite was flying, mostly because there was never any homework."

"Sometimes they let first years try out, for the past few years the captain's had the choice to include first year try outs or not, so, it really all depends." Speaking of which, where was the captain anyway? Jayden was usually always here..
