Stellar, something tells me you have the wrong impression about what you're going to be doing. But I'll humor you anyway.
No, there isn't a sniper template. The reasoning behind that being probably along the lines of "No one wants to GM you sitting for hours in a tree waiting for some dumb imp to stick their head up." Its not dynamic, its not action-y and doesn't fit the fast moving adventure and excitement that Star wars is supposed to be.

Maybe I used the wrong term... That's a scout sniper. How bout more of a designated marksman? The guy in the squad that gets a scope.

Just remember people, you are not the regular Alliance military. You might want to organize yourselves so your skills and abilities compliment each other because Alliance Support will be minimal. YOU are supposed to be helping THEM.

That would be whoever can either buy one or steal one.
And while you're peering into that scope, looking for a target, the Stormtroopers 5 meters away will have either A. thrown grenades or B. switched to autofire.
You keep thinking this is a conventional military unit. If you had military skills like that, you'd be in specforce. Not here with the Irregulars.

No.
I explained what you do already. I'm not repeating it.

confused Sometimes I wonder if you even know what Star wars is about.

Theres a pilot and a co-pilot for the freighter you'll be assigned but someone with some skill in mechanics or piloting might be useful.

I was tempted to say vanguard, but everyone who has RPed with me knows how dangerous I am with ranged explosives.

Roll to Hit with a Missile Launcher...
1!
Kaboom!!! *Team Dies as missile explodes in the launcher*

I know, a demolition specialist! If he's trained in demo he's also a skilled mechanic! That'd be perfect. I can pickup pilot later...

What is he?
A Jedi in hiding? A Failed Jedi? Someone who has thrown off his Jedi Training to be something else?
All you told me is that he has friends in CorSec who may or may not even be alive still. And we're starting nowhere near Corellia.
Ah, in that sense, okay.

He hasnt cast off his training, no, but hes careful about it, and keeps it too himself, so yes, hes in hiding.

As for his friends in CorSec, that was almost 20 years ago, so its unlikely if they would keep in touch, they risked their neck for me once with treason, so unless they are active Rebels such as us, they probably aren't 'contact' material, unless they were the ones who got ahold of me in hopes of getting me to join the resistance.

Besides that, his skills would be mostly technically based. Use Computer, bootleg devices and explosives, some piloting, mechanics. An outlaw jack of all trades.

So you wanna do the same thing that Stellar wants to do and be the tech guy.
Lovely.
So since you told me that, it basically means that your starting equipment is now a heavy blaster pistol and 1000 credits.

That was the idea I had from the start, a jack of all trades. I don't specialize, and he only said demo and mechanics and maybe piloting. But if that causes any kind of problem, then I'll change things around.

And whats with this arranged starting equipment and d6 archetypes? confused

But if it comes to it, I'll take the lightsaber instead of the blaster.

That's for you to decide amongst yourselves. Doesn't matter to me if you make your characters skills overlap. You're the ones attempting to save the Galaxy.

The equipment lists I'm using because I find them a better option than just giving you a pile of credits and letting you buy what you want. I seem to recall people having credits leftover after getting damn near everything they want and throwing out the idea that they could be convinced to do things for material gain.
The archetypes just serve as a reference tool as to the gear. Your character is whatever you want to turn them into.

It doesn't matter to me, I'm still ironing out my characters philosophical standings.

I'll let Stellar to the repairing and 'disassembling'. I'd like to try out the idea of a scoundrel who doesn't kill, but in the fact I'm a terrorist, and a party member makes such a concept difficult.
