Cale Darksun
*sigh*
fine, whatever.
You wanna play a technologically backwards rube, you got it.
You have a sword, a blackpowder pistol, a powderhorn and 500 credits.

I'm guessing I should switch out the blackpowder pistol with a slugthrower and the powderhorn with a clip of ammo.

The Clone Wars book has the stats on a hand slugthrower.

And the characters are thus further removed from the plot.

No one is making you play, Des.

I'm just saying the characters don't match this plot of yours terribly well.

What plot? Irregular forces of the Rebel Alliance? Irregulars means... well irregulars, so a kid jedi, a refugee, a queen's retainer, and a mopy jedi like yourself are all within the realm of possibility.

Cale vehemently shot down my combat based ideas, because if we were known combat specialists we'd be assigned to SpecForce not the Irregulars. So what we got is fine.

Okay so my character has:
A Slugthrower Pistol (2d6 Damage)
A Clip of Ammo (10 rds)
A Short Sword (1d6 Damage)
500 Credits

With the 500 credits I buy a real survival rifle and some useful bits...
Czerka Adventurer (-360 Credits, 2d10 Damage)
Bandolier (-100 Credits)
1x Clip of Rifle Ammo (-40 Credits, 20 rds)

And my character is officially broke. lol.

Probably because Tabletop isn't a FPS where you murder everything that speaks. If you want that then play Halo and pretend Master Chief is Boba Fett in more armor and less mute.

Adventuring is so much better. I'm just hoping this idea of 'Irregular Forces' aka Part-time Terrorist, is more adventuring and roguish running about causing mayhem and solving such mayhem caused by others then it is blowing up Imperial's pants and influencing their friends and children to back-stab them.

More likely we'll be doing more subtle mayhem then that... like pulling all the batteries out of an imperial garrison's AT-STs (That's right folks the chicken walker is battery powered).

We're irregulars, not soldiers. Unfortunately this probably means the Jedi characters are more likely to blow s**t up and take names then my scout. Come to think of it so is that Queen's Retainer.

Cale, I did it again... I'm the weakling of the bunch.

(How else would they be? Too small for a reactor or any lkind of self-charging generator.)

Why ARE you playing a hillbilly anyway?
Added:
Why not just make your demo, I dunno an engineer of some sort, crafting homemade explosives and EMPs, he doesn't have to be from some organization, maybe he lost his job or the Emprie took his pension away?

I'll handle flying and crafty BE(I had an idea of making a Roland-ish character from Dark Tower), Rodyn is our 'intimidation expert'. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what idea K has, but she'll fill it out. But she'll end up better at poking at peoples brains than I will as a Jedi.

Ugh... why is it people confuse hillbilly and survivalist/refugee. Cale shot down demoman as we couldn't find a way to create such a character that wouldn't be instantly drafted into the SpecForces. (My Survivalist will have skill focus perception and survival, as well as trained in mechanics so I can go the Demo route later if need be).

It's not hillbilly its survival expert after my world has been made into a wasteland by the imperial heel. The reason I use slugthrowers isn't because I'm technologically backward but because the imps took everything else away. At least you can make a slugthrower with a tool die and some metal.

Perhaps a better description would be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. out of that game. I can shoot, fix my gear, and survive in the harshest environment.

EDIT: I really hope someone trains up Treat Injury or this is going to be one short adventure.

Des, no one is making you play. You don't like it, then don't join.
You are not ******** "part-time terrorists", you're full time rebels not part of the Organized Alliance Military.
Let Stellar play his survivalist how he wants.
I shot down his Demoman because his background would prove to be detrimental to his placement in the Alliance.
And before you say anything about how far stepped our characters are from the plot, I will state here and now that NONE of you have a damn clue as to whats going on, especially you. So you have no room to say jack about the characters I accept.

Cale, chill your testosterone.

I'm just guessing at, due to the limited info of what you've given us, I'm taking a rough shot to say that our group seems rag-tad and strange, even as rebel irregulars go.

Apparently you don't want to spend the time introducing us into the plot, instead we are assumed to know exactly what we are doing. In which you've given us brief statements about.
Maybe I'm looking for too much structure, but I'm used to such in games.

But I haven't said one thing about not wanting to play.

Anyway, I was gonna make a suggestion that this may be a good chance to put Say-a-Queue back into the light, if even for a moment.

Help out the resistance if its still active.

You've never played with Cale before... We never know where we're starting from, and most of it is made up on the fly. So strap in and hang on for the ride.

A worn man in his late twenties enters the room with a Czerka Adventurer cradled in his hands. Wearing a lengthy trenchcoat over his shabby clothing. Frowning he levels the rifle at the jedi. "You're beginning to irritate me. I can get along with the kid, but you're far more annoying then a cute little child."

I dont have a problem with that most of the time. The best game of D&D I ever played last 9 hours and everyone was lvl 1.

Anyhow. I'ma start making my character.

No Des, its not testosterone that's bugging me. Its you.
No one else has a problem with the lack of info.
Just you.
You b***h so much that you might as well be on your period and its pissing me off.
I explained the plot: You're a bunch of different people, thrown together to do battle against the Evil Empire.
How much more explaining do you need?
And no, I'm not going back to Seya-que.
