SubonicXP Blizzard120 "Well, you try having an electric-type attack weakness." I said. "Not pleasant, I assure you." "You never really got hit with a Dig attack before, have you?" Tristen asked "Nope..." "Point taken." Sub said with a slight chuckle. "Well, need any hep in this training?" He asked. "You had something in mind by chance?" Tristen sat up. He wasn't sure if he should be looking forward to it or if he should be worried.

But uh...he can't handle anything something with a little more...oomph." I said. "The most he can handle is his own Spark attack." Tristen was a bit ashamed to admit that much.

Sub mumbled to himself, tapping his chin. "I suppose the problem is then that his electrical capacity is very small, he can only contain so much electricity before he loses control and begins to discharge wildly. I have one question before we move on, has Tristen ever lived out in the open wild? Or has he been kept in doors most of his life?"

He had someone that preferred to beat the hell out of him and live rather primitively than actually raise him right." I said, crossing my arms. "He pretty much knows how to rough it if need be, thanks or no thanks to what he was a part of, but...well...its still boils down to the fact that he's still pretty young as is anyways. At least a factor of it."

Electrike, in the wild, subject themselves to thunderstorms in order to absorb and store electricity in their fur. Admittedly they only absorb small amounts each time, but over time, building up that energy in their fur, utilizing it regularly, they build up their natural capacity, but like you said, Tristen is young, and I don't think you want to throw him out in the woods and hope things go good for him. So...we have to simulate, and hasten, the process." Sub said as he stood up and stretched. "When a martial artist wants to train himself to smash a cement block with his hand he practices daily, yes? Well, as he does this the bones in his hand break, and then, heal back more dense than they were before. The same applies for muscles, training them is the process of tearing, and repairing stronger than before. My idea for Tristen here is to subject him to electrical currents stronger than he can withstand, but have him bear it, until he is able to take the charge without a problem. Sure, it will be...painful, but maybe it will speed things up." Sub suggested. "Otherwise you can go chasing thunderstorms and run around naked in the rain."

Tails tries to do that a lot with me, already, just for fun." Tristen said. "All well and good, but how is that supposed to keep control on attacks?" I asked.

"It will help a little bit. By increasing his capacity it limits the risk of the electricity back firing, so it should, in theory, make it easier for him to train his attacks, and not make them so...chaotic, follow?" He asked.

Leslie looked to the slurpee machine that had just been rolled out, a plan formulating in her mind to get at one of the members of Snagem. Walking over to the machine, she began to mash the buttons for all of the slurpee flavors that involved coffee or anything remotely close to it in its construction. Having wasted a good portion of the flavor mix for that and dragging it to it's last dregs, she placed one final cup and filled it with coffee flavored slurpee. Labeling it as "For Darts", she handed it to Sub after taking a tiny sip. The flavor she tasted laid somewhere between sludge with a tiny bit of coffee and direct sewage waste. Hoping he got the idea, she began to wait for him to pop up and for the plan to possibly happen at this moment. "Sub, make sure he gets it. I feel like pranking someone today." Leslie muttered to Sub, leaping up multiple times to make sure he got the full message.

"I, what?" Sub said as he took the cup, then hearing Leslie and nodded. "Uh huh...okay..." He said, eyebrow raised, then turned back to Blizz. "Even better, I have just the thing, hold this." He said, handing the cup to Blizz now and ran out of the room, returning about five or ten minutes later with a small, irregular shaped yellow gem in his hand. "Man that thing was on there...take this." He then took the cup back from Blizz and handed him the gem. "That's a piece of the Zapdos Heart that powers this building. The Zapdos Heart is really just a super powered Electric Gem, one which absorbs electricity, and amplifies it, a cycle that can provide near limitless power, which is why it powers our headquarters." He explained.
"Tristen can use it to train with. Like how a channeler uses an artifact to channel their chi through, Tristen can use that shard to channel his electric moves through, use it as a focal point to fire them from instead of simply releasing the move from his body. This way, he only has to focus on one point, and the gem will help him with that by pulling in the electricity he tries to send out. Now, there is a downside to this. Tristen's own Lightning Rod ability will counteract with the shard's own nature, his own body may try and absorb the shard's built up electricity, while the shard may do the inverse and absorb his own. That said, he should only train with it in short sessions." He said, sitting back down.
"Or else he might overload himself and lose control, or alternatively, the shard will sap him dry. Granted, he can't completely stop himself from absorbing electricity from the shard, neither can he completely stop it from trying to absorb his own, but that's what you want. The constant tug-o-war will help his body grow accommodated, his capacity growing, and hopefully to the point where he can control his own electricity without the shard." He said, shooting Tristen a grin. "Or he dies in the process." He just had to throw that last point in, even though it was very unlikely to happen, he was sure Blizz wouldn't leave him alone with the shard.

He was legitamately scared of such a thing that could put him six feet under if he didn't do it right. "Nice going, scare the kid why don't you." I said, looking at the piece of the Zapdos heart.

"...first off, don't even say it, Blizz. Second, just use it with others around so they can pull you the shard away from you if things go wrong, never use it alone. Trust me, sometimes you can to push your limits before you can move forward. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...or something like that. Tell you what, here." Sub said, digging out a Dusk Ball and handing it to Tristen. "If it makes you feel better, you can hang onto Poe, my Sableye. While he is a little...mouthy, he is a pretty good bodyguard. He'll eat that shard the first chance he gets."

"Though that all depends on if Tristen now wants to still do that considering the risks involved still." ".....I...don't know..." Tristen said. It still made him a bit uncomfortable.
