I placed higher in this week's Avatar Arena than I ever have before. I'm just wondering what I coulda done differently to make it better, or if people just voted low on me anyway because I'm a homosexual furry or because maybe some of them resent me for having more gold than they do? sad Am I wrong to want to do better than just the top 250 out of the 13,000some people who entered?

Had to block someone on DA because they were being rude and disabled commenting on the pic they were being rude on. Forget hiding comments, I'm just going to stop it right there and then by not allowing it at all.

Avatar Arena is just a popularity contest for most people.

Our robot is alive!
....sort of sweatdrop
It's got at least the basic coding in place and I'll be working on fixing some of the code to make it work, better, but at least the basic robot is working.
The main issues are:
-If someone is in the way of the light it won't like that and possibly can drive away from the true light source (Some coding will fix this) -The bump sensors will ocassionally break off (I'm working on fixing this issue) -The bump sensor can get 'caught' on the arena (Another issue which should be an easy fix) -The robot doesn't straighten proberly (Programming issue) -The robot can sometimes have the front fall off (I'm working on this issue)
Sadly, I can't work on it until after tomorrow since I need to finish the report and presentation which is due tomorrow xp

Shaviv Avatar Arena is just a popularity contest for most people. I couldn't agree more. Besides, you have the Audi's thread if you want people to notice your duds, and you won't have to pay any gold to do it. I do like participating in the housing arena, simply because I'm curious to find out what other people think of my house.

I've been in the arena a few times...I bet they voted low 'cause you used a bunch of items from the same set. They seem to not like that. "SET! 1/10! D:<"

Shaviv Avatar Arena is just a popularity contest for most people. Heh, that's not me for sure. I only even have 7 folks on my friends list and nobody on this site makes an effort to chat with me unless I go to them, and even then most of the time I get ignored. sweatdrop shoki_de_nai I've been in the arena a few times...I bet they voted low 'cause you used a bunch of items from the same set. They seem to not like that. "SET! 1/10! D:<" I actually had all positive comments except for 2 or 3, and only one person said that using 3 items from the same set was bad. Crazy. lol

Today's my boyfriend's & my 6-year anniversary. We celebrated on Saturday because we're both out of the house so much during the week, and especially today, that doing something today just wouldn't've worked.
We went to the DMV at 10 so I could get a new license (mine's been expired for a few months, but I don't really drive anywhere so I didn't care that much); we then got breakfast at Bruegger's, and he dropped me off at work at noon. After I got out of work at 5 ( xp ), we went to the mall so I could get him his present: a Nerf sniper rifle. It's seriously one of the coolest things ever-- and it's about as big as me.
We then went to Hot Topic to get my present. I was gonna get this really cool halter top, but it didn't fit me. Le sigh. So, instead, I got a Snape T-shirt. Then, on a whim, I decided to rummage through the Clearance section on the way out. . . and found another Snape shirt for $9! Needless to say, I was quite pleased. whee
We went to Pizza Hut for dinner (yay stuffed crust! heart ), then came back home.
All in all, a good way to celebrate. heart

Yesterday my headphones arrived back from the company. The cable broke and they had to be replaced, I'm impressed they replaced the headphones since it's partially my fault they broke. One of the headphone pads was also coming off, but it didn't worry me too much. But my ears were in heaven when I started up the music player and put the headphones on!
Currently having to work on the presentation for the robot.... because I'm presenting it myself (the other group partner has done the majority of the work on the final report). So this should be interesting how my social anxiety reacts..... it's not going to be very fun.

Where are the rules explaining how to fill up your rage bar?
For that matter, where's the damn announcement declaring Halloween is happening?

Gaia's gone glitchy again and once again the mods won't post an announcement, while everyone runs amok like chickens with their heads cut off.
You'd think after doing this gig for five years or so they'd have it down to a fine science, know what major problems happen, and actually do something about it.
