"Right, then, let's take it outside," she said, pleased that he accepted the challenge. Veronica then headed for the exit, waiting for him. For my sake, I hope it has really been a while.

"Overheard some ~/~ was going on, came to help," Chaos said while maintaining his speed.

Chaos nodded without dropping his pace. After a bit of running, he started glancing about a bit without slowing down, if only to get a hint about where Sub's SNAG was leading them. His lack of experience with Phenac City kept him from figuring out where they were headed, though, so all he could do was keep up with Sub.

Sub would arrive at an alleyway at the edge of town. In the alley he would find his cousin, Toren, passed out on the ground. "Dammit, Toren!" He shouted running over to his cousin. "Help me pick him up!" He yelled at Chaos.

"Sleep Powder by the looks of it." Sub said as he lifted Toren by his legs, noticing the thin layer of a green powdery residue on his clothing. "Someone knocked him out it looks like, let's take him to the Pokemon Center." Sub said as he began to carry him off.

The trio of course got many of a stare, but Sub didn't care, he was worried about his cousin, while there was no blood relation, Toren was still family to him. With Chaos's help, Sub would carry Toren into the Pokemon Center and set him down on a couch in the lobby. "I'll go get the nurse." Sub said as he walked off for several minutes, soon returning with an elderly Nurse Joy, visiting from Agate Village. "Oh dear." She mumbled as she bent over and dragged a finger along Toren's cheek, picking up some green powder. "Sleep Power alright." She would then stick the finger in her mouth, tasting the powder, which was weird, but Sub didn't pay it much mind.

"This Sleep Power is highly concentrated, this is the work of a Pokemon highly trained in using status inducing powders. The fact that this man is covered in the powder tells me that this was no accident. Also, seeing it this concentrated tells me the attacker intended to do more to this boy than just put him to sleep. Sleep Powder to a Pokemon, even highly concentrated, isn't too much to worry abut it, they just sleep a little longer. However, humans are extremely vulnerable to even the weakest Sleep Powder, but again, it would just make them fall asleep...but a powder this concentrated...could be deadly." She said, putting her ear up to his chest. "His heart beat is faint, Chansey! Get this boy to the back!" She shouted, a Chansey skipping into the room with a girder, and with the help of Sub, put Toren on it, the Nurse Joy and Chansey running off to the back of the room, the Phenac City nurse also following behind.

"You better wake up with all your brain cells, Toren, so I can knock a few out of you..." Sub said softly to himself, glaring at the door they disappeared behind. "Chaos, did you see his Snag Machine anywhere when we picked him up?" He asked, breaking his stare as he now faced his teammate.

"Ask yourself that question as you watch my behind disappear into the distance." Sub said as he walked passed Chaos, and right out the front door of the Pokemon Center.

Sub would head back to the alleyway they found Toren in, immediately taking out his SNAG and speaking to GRAY. "Where is the Snag Machine's signal coming from now, GRAY?" He asked the artificial intelligence. "I can no longer detect the Snag Machine's presence. The thief didn't take the SNAG with him." GRAY explained. "Great...without the SNAG the Snag Machine can't send a signal back to GRAY, the SNAG acts as a relay between the two. Why didn't they thief get greedy..." He sighed. "We'll have to do this the old fashioned way...I guess we should look around for clues...or something, unless you have a better idea." He said to Chaos.
