"Yeah, I suppose you're right..." he agreed a bit solemnly. "Anyway, I guess I'll be in the training room for a bit. Maybe I can find someone to battle there. See ya later aneki" Dan waved, starting to head toward said training room.

"Aneki?" Keiko asked as Dan walked off, not understanding what he meant by it. After a moment, though, she went after him, heading for the Training Room. "Oh, hey! If you need someone to battle against, I'd be game! It's been a while since I worked with Aster or Cerberus, and you'd probably whip us, but I'd be willing to give it a shot, anyway."

Dan kept walking but looked at Keiko when she offered to battle him. "Really? I mean sure, that'd be great" he grinned. "Oh and Aneki means big sister by the way" he translated for her since she didn't seem to understand what he called her.

Keiko blushed a bit when Dan translated his nickname for her, but kept her mouth shut to avoid saying something awkward. Instead, she followed Dan into the Training Room, and took a spot, releasing Aster afterward and waiting for Dan to get ready.

Taking his spot, he already had in mind which two pokemon he was going to use. Seeing as Keiko sent out a bug type, he decided to send out Bucky, his Bibarel, first. He'd always neglected to train the poor guy and after their extensive training, he was eager to see the results. "Ok, we're ready. You can have the first move" Dan stated.

"Hmm..." Keiko hummed, trying to think of a good move to use against Dan's pokemon. Unlike her actual younger brother, though, she wasn't learned on the ways of pokemon and had no other option but to wing it entirely. "Okay, Aster, you should warm up before you start seriously fighting, so let's give you a boost with Agility!"
Nodding, the Ledian started zipping around the training room, in an attempt to improve his speed through exertion. With any luck, Bucky would have a hard time striking a moving target, opening the Bibarel up for a counterattack.

With Aster gaining speed, he could already see the threat it could present to Bucky. So, he decided to play it safe and increase his defense. "Use Defense Curl" Dan instructed, watching the beaver roll up into a tight ball. With his Simple ability, it would be twice as effective than a normal Defense Curl. Dan would await the Ledian's next move before initiating one of his own.

With Bucky increasing his defense, Keiko was very tempted to have Aster do the same. But this wouldn't be much of a practice fight if all they did was hardening boosting their stats, right?
"Okay, Aster, pepper him with a spray of Swift, alright?" Keiko asked. Aster leapt up into the air at his mistress's command and spat a shower of star-like Swift attack at the Bibarel.

Dan had a feeling Keiko would rely on special attacks with Bucky's raised defenses. "Block those stars and attack with Waterfall!" The Bibarel uncurled and raised his arms above his head. A wall of water rose to block the incoming Swift and afterwards, Bucky hopped into the stream, leaving one arm up above his head and a curled fist rising up in an attempt to uppercut Aster.

"Aster, get out of the way!" Keiko shrieked as she, too, tried to avoid the massive waterfall. Aster, however, couldn't dodge the massive wave of water and took the attack, Bibarel fist and all, dead-center.
After the water began receeding, Keiko ran back to Aster's side. "Aster, are you alright?" she asked. Aster was absolutely drenched, but once he buzzed his wings a bit to shake the water off of them, he was able to get back in the air. "Oh, good," Keiko said, sighing in relief. "Okay, no more games. Counter with a Mach Punch attack."
Aster zipped forward with Agility-boosted speed, zooming ahead in a straight line, fist outstretched in an attempt to connect with Bucky's face.

Bucky felt quite accomplished with his attack, but remained on guard. It didn't help much when he was slugged with a Mach Punch to the face. He was sent staggering backwards and eventually ended up on his back. "Ah! Bucky, you ok?" Dan asked the Bibarel who sprung up, shaking his head before giving the Ledian a glare. "Right..." he muttered, trying to think of the next move. It was hard to account for the speed but not impossible. "Ok, Rollout attack!" Bucky hopped up, curling himself into a ball in midair before landing on the ground. Upon hitting the ground, he darted off aiming to strike Ledian in the air.

All I had to do was wait for now. It would be a while before I hear back from my Articuno, let alone Miles. For the time being I went to think back for a moment. I went to trail in the training room for a bit. Nothing to extravagant...just a simple punching of the bag for the most part.

Keiko got a bad vibe from Bucky's next attack and quickly jumped on the defensive. "Quick, deflect his attack with Reflect!" she ordered. Aster didn't move, but a shield of shimmering energy appeared around him that lessened the blow of Bucky's Rollout. Given that he'd used Defense Curl earlier, though, the move still did some damage.

'Using Reflect to weaken our attacks huh?' Dan mused, not afraid of this new development. Seeing as the attack hit, Bucky would continue his Rollout assault, this round more fierce than the last as he aimed at Aster again. Hit or miss, he was accounting for the next move.

'This isn't working,' Keiko realized. "Okay, push him back with Bug Buzz!"
Aster released the guard and flapped his wings at full speed, creating a shockwave of sound that was aimed straight at Bucky.
