A Star Wars Roleplaying supplement in Polyhedron issue 162. Since the maps of the YT-1300 are used now as cannon, I figured the article was legit. Note theres a pretty big gap between the unnamed pirate who stole her and Lando. The Falcon was built sometime around the Republic's fall so theres a lot of uncharted ground.

Figuring that there are 20 some years between the fall of the republic and ANH, Lando needs to get the ship, and han to become famous as a smuggler...
S how many people could have owned it?

you'd be suprised. Most of the time she's been collateral in card games so she could have had a pretty large number in one night.

I mean own as in they got some usage out of it.
I'm not talking about a five-minute collector.

So, in other words, not all YT-1300s have the same layout and such, then?

Generally speaking they have the same external apearance, but the Interior is modular. CEC could mass produce these ships in various configurations, saving sithloads of money. The low cost of construction allowed the YT-1300 to also be sold at extremely competetive prices. Origionally there were two premade configurations: Freight and Passenger. The Freight model could haul 50 more tons than the now standard "Stock" configuration and the Passenger model could pack as many as nine passengers on the same ship. CEC realized that its customers wanted a balance between the two and so created the FP configuration. Eventually it became known as the "Stock" model because it wasnt speciallized like its forerunners.
