"allright..." miera says, hauling smoke up onto the glideboard after connecting it to the wagon with tendrils of purple-black shadow "hold on to me....." she said as she leaned forward, ready to boost the speed
*pushes board to at least 180mph, a forcefield to reduce the wind's effects on the people behind*

I wandered around in the darkness between time and space for a little while, then i started crying. "im just a burden...why do i have to care so much...?" I asked myself aloud. my voice seemed to eminate from the very darkness.
*Smoke..? Dont worry about anything...I just have to deal with a problem you helped me out with a while ago...i will be back in a few hours...i promise* I thought, sending it to Smoke.
I came up out of the darkness to another part of the desert, i could feel the sand under my shoes. Now that i thought about it, not being able to see wasnt so bad. But it did have its disadvantages, I couldnt see the faces of the people i cared about, and i couldnt see the faces of my enemies.
I turned and walked farter into the desert away from any life.

Smoke winced.
"What!? Is Kurai OK!" Skyler jumped up but fell back into the cart after hitting his head on the force field.Smoke said, "She's... fine."

I felt the explosion, it was gigantic. "I hope Skyler cant see this..." I said aloud in the explosion. I could feel the heat but it was as if they were caressing fingers. *It doesnt hurt this time* i thought. "No he probably can, I didnt go far enough from them...i wonder if it looks like fireworks ?" I thought.

Smoke tuned and saw the fire. She distracted everyone so they wouldn't see it and freak out. "So.. this one time in Jole, I was with Inferno in this forest behind her house. We were just playing like what little kids do when we fell into a huge hole. We were ok and there was a tunnel in the hole. Inferno was curious and followed it and i followed her, only because I was scared and didnt' want to be alone. We ended up finding some cool stuff. Like old coins and treasures."

*miera looked at smoke curiously, noticing the diversion...took a quick glance over at what the rest of the group's minds were not focused on, and saw the flames*
"day-um...." she muttered, turning her focus back to where they were heading "hey smoke....." she whispered "where are we heading anyways? i might be able to direct this thing mindlesssly, but i DO have to have a location in mind........" she said, trying to make a joke about her psychic abilities
-and whats up with that girl.....why is she flaming? sorry, i didnt mean to 'look'. i just sort of......mentally checkout new things automatically, kind of like looking around for a threat miera asked, mentally shrugging as she apologized and explained

((Kurai has problems with her Fire ability...it goes out of control sometimes...its like her powers are fighting for dominance. sorry for not giving you the info earlier... 4laugh ))
The fire had subsided, I could tell that much. I felt up and down my legs and torso, most of my clothes were burnt to a crisp. "Good thing im out in the open, or this would be really embarassing.." I said to myself. I waved my hand to the side and darkness swirled around me in tight fitting clothing. "This should be good..at least im covered." I said and then waved my hand again and created a dark cloak, in case a sandstorm blew through.
I took a step and started walking to the destination Smoke had thought of. It didnt feel like sand under my feet so i knelt down and put my hand on the surface, it was smooth "Huh...i made glass i bet this will freak the locals out..." I said then i giggled.
I made a portal and fell into the abyss. I pulled the cloak hood over my eyes and began my short transportation.

Kari was in awe with Smoke's story. "Where they shiny?!" SHe exclaimed, she was bouncing up and down now.

*miera just rolled her eyes unseen, unconsciously keeping track of kurai, then blinked with a small start of surprise when she felt kurai disappear momentarily before coming back into her senses*
she thought she thought, then shoving the rest deep into her consciousness for a look at later
"how far away now, smoke....and which direction?" miera asked, barely slowing down her shadowboard the better to hear smoke's answer

"you're going in the right direction. Nile says in about a minute to go a little to the right, but not much. and yes they were shiney Kari... very shiney. In fact.." she dug into her secret bag and pulled out an odd madallion, "This is one of the things we found." she handed it to her. It was pure gold with a huge diamond in the middle of it. It was very heavy and it glissened int he sun. there were cravings in it as well.

Kari held the medallion in her hands caefully, fearing that one wrong move would make it crumble into pieces. "Smoke you gotta take me there!" She said brimming with excitment as adventures played in her head, she imagined hersel;f swinging on a vine like indiana Jones. Then wondered why she imagined herself as the next tarzan.
