I'm thinking of trying to get everything done tomorrow and then I can visit my parents on Sunday and get lots of rest while eating delicious food (my mom's food always tastes better than my own meals maybe cause I don't have to make them) haha...they also have cold medicine so I can take that too if I feel like I'm getting worse.

Thanks, I'm also drinking the tea blends for colds that my sister gave me so I get to be cozy and I'm doing something for my cold. I managed to get everything done today so I can relax at my parents' tomorrow.

Had to work through lunch and overtime today. Dead tired and I think my cold got worse again. I can't think straight at all anymore (brain is dead) and I have a slight headache and my eyes are blurry/tired. And I have to go to work tomorrow and probably will have to work late again. I'm starting to think I need a career change.

Usually I get off at 3:30pm and have an hour of lunch at noon. But none of that happened today. And I worked through lunch and got off late on Friday too. Where do you work/what's your job if you don't mind me asking?

Where do you work/what's your job if you don't mind me asking? Well, I work as a receptionist at a car repair shop owned by my father. Sometimes i have no idea what I am doing at times since I'm that inexperienced yet since I'm not very business oriented. If anything, all I'm there for is lightening the load for my supervisor so that she can do other things. So it's not particularly nepotism on my part since I get treated the same way as the other employees. I just bring in homemade cookies and baked goods every now and then.

Yea, I was yelling in my head and quietly under my breath (at no one in particular/at the monitor of course) for people (email or phone call) to go away. I think I might have swore a few times in my head too when I remember something else had to be done. But we have auditors in (who are always annoying), plus all our monthly deadlines are earlier since it's year end, and we have files to set up for the new year (of which deadlines are also earlier for some reason). And my workload has always been pretty heavy from the start since I deal with all the new business that no one else seems to really know anything about. I feel like just having a nervous breakdown and quitting. It's frustrating but just have to keep working and hopefully things settle down a bit.

I'm sure you'll pick up things quickly and learn lots. And it doesn't matter if you're working for your father since you're actually working and taking it seriously. It's a great opportunity and it's good that you took it in order to get some experience.
