I think I do it different to you though.
I take away joining letters like 'th'at is atthay not hattay.

I take the first letter from the beginning of the word
and put it on the back and ad "ay." Thats how I was always told how to do it. gonk

eg: telephone = elephonetay
BUT: phone - onephay
because "ph" has to stay together.
