Naomi squeezed his hand clutching it like a lifeline. She liked that idea. the three babies growing up and playing together. She pecked Damien's lips staying close to him. "I love you Damien." She whispered in his ear holding him close.

Rose smiled finally feeling the relief. She knew Isabel would not find it the same, but at least she was drinking. Rose smiled warmly at the infant in her arms.

Garreth watched Rose like a hawk. He'd meant every word he'd said to his baby. He wouldn't let anyone take her from him. He'd kill them first. "I hope my master is okay." He mumbled.

"Gabriel is fine, he just wanted to be alone with Michael for a while. I'm sure once everything calms down he'll pop in to say hi." Rose replied with an attempt at a smile to him. She found she could smile at the baby fine, but other people. . . that was a challenge.

Once Isabel had her fill she clung to Rose as she would have Leila and yawned softly before shutting her eyes to take a doze. After the stress of the day, losing her mother and the fighting between the family, all she wanted to do was sleep. Isabel drooled slightly as she rested her head against Rose's chest and closed her eyes, snoring slightly as she found herself a comfortable position.

Damien watched Isabel carefully. With one child to care for and two on the way, he was more than careful to see what would happen to any of them. He cupped Naomi's cheek for a moment before saying, "I suggest we live near the Hellish Gates though. Ariel is there and she and her kind can offer the most protection."

Rose blushed darkly and cuddled Isabel close. She smiled up at Garreth who seemed to be itching to have his baby back but Rose didn't want to wake her. "Hover all you like Garreth. But I' not waking her just so you can feel better." Rose glowered at him for his selfishness.

Naomi nodded a little leaning into his affections. "I'll follow you anywhere my love." She replied brushing the backs of her fingers against his cheeks. She gave a little gasp and put his hand on her belly. A smile on her lips. It wasn't a gasp of pain but happy surprise.

Before anyone could move, Ariel appeared in flames before approaching Damien. A baby in her grasp as she smiled to her former husband, "My King, this is your new daughter, Astarte. The other children have taken to her and have granted her access to live."

Damien was pleased to see he had another child. The more he had the better it seemed. With Astarte and the twins, that meant now 23 children he had fathered. Damien kissed the top of Naomi's head as Ariel showed her the baby as well, "She looks mostly like Damien, but she will be under my care and my domain."

"Understood," Damien nodded in agreement, "She may go wherever she pleases in my kingdom."

Ariel smiled at Naomi, "Your twins look very healthy within you, Naomi. I hope they are born without any problems."

Isabel squirmed when she felt Ariel's aura. It wasn't bad or good, it was just irritating to her. She whimpered before clinging tightly to Rose, "Mean..."

Rose and Garreth surrounded Isabel to protect her. "Ssh." Rose whispered. "Everything's okay." She kissed Isabel's head.

Naomi stared at the infant in Ariel's arms. She smiled a tiny bit then turned her gaze to Damien showing utter adoration to him. Her gaze narrowed to Ariel. "I know. I can feel them too. I am their mother." The woman always put her on edge. "Though I will admit I'm kinda hungry. Would you like to shake hands?" She asked nicely.

"Naomi!" Rose snapped. "Don't you dare that's rude!"

"Yes mum." Naomi growled rolling her eyes.

"Please, don't be rude to the mother of my children," Damien glared at both the mothers of his children. It felt like running a harem of wives with both of them at each other's neck. He loved Naomi as his first wife and his only love, and still cared for Ariel because she bore him 21 children that he loved with all his heart as well. It wasn't complicated to know that he loved Naomi and his children, all of them.

Ariel smiled and nodded towards Damien before looking back at Naomi, "Your room has been prepared for yourself and our husband. I look forward to having you all return."

She and the baby disappeared in flames as Damien looked to the others. He wasn't going to let Rose and Garreth take off with Isabel, "You two will be joining us on our return."

Rose grinned. "Of course," Rose replied as if the idea of not following was absurd. "I want to see how incompetent your guard are."

Garreth frowned. "I'll think about it." Garreth replied.

"You can't leave until Isabel is weened." Rose growled at him. "She's taken to me. Taking her now will result in you getting a punch in the face."

"Fine." Garreth grumbled. "I'll stay!"

Naomi sighed softly and leaned against Damien for support. "Our husband?!" Naomi bellowed as Ariel left. "The hell you are." She said glaring at him. "You're mine now~! I don't share~!"
PostPosted: Mon Mar 03, 2014 6:29 pm
"Technically..." Damien pulled at the collar of his shirt, "A demon woman mates for life. Even if I never touch her or anything, and give you all my life, she is still in the sense "married" to me because we have children together and we've placed the eternal markings on each other. It doesn't mean i'm being shared, I have the right by taking you in as my second mate and she has the right to have her own life, but you two do kind of share the same husband in a sense. It's a complicated demon thing."

He picked Naomi up in his arms to carry her as Isabel whimpered another cry. She didn't like being too far from her father and reached out to him. However, she held onto a lock of Rose's hair as she reached out and grabbed her father. She tugged at Rose's hair as she clung to her father's shirt.

Rose followed the tug with a wince of pain. "Here." Rose said handing her over to her father again watching him hold her protectively to him. "Sweetie don't tug on Auntie Rose's hair~" Rose said kindly. "I'll be right here."

Naomi's expression hardened. "Just another way Klaus ruined my life." She glowered and reluctantly let him carry her. "Complicated Demon stuff huh? Wow. Weeping Angels mate for life too. Once we take hold on our mate we never waver. But hey I couldn't expect you to wait for me while Klaus held me captive." She growled both mad at him and hormonal.

"We weren't even remotely interested in each other at that time. You were only a baby and I was just a kid," Damien hissed defensively as the castle appeared in the distance, "This will take far too long."

The entire group was engulfed in a thick fog and reappeared at the doorstep to the castle. Damien was greeted as a king as they were all escorted inside by his demonic servants. He placed Naomi on her feet, holding her steady, "You ought to get some rest. I'll take us to our room."

"M'lord," Ariel purred as she came into view, "There is work to be done if you plan on taking your throne back."

"I will get to it when I can. For now, I leave you as the caretaker," Damien waved her away.

"Then you, woman," Ariel looked to Rose, "You fancy yourself with a sword. If you don't plan on betraying Damien and his family again, you may call yourself Captain of the Guard."

Rose looked the woman up and down, raising her brow. "Betray them?" She asked. "I saved your life!"

"Rose, don't yell I just got Isabel asleep." Garreth hissed. "Yell at her later."

"Whatever." Rose said flicking her hair. "My loyalties are for my siblings and my little Niece. Everyone else is cannon fodder."

"What about Damien's other children?" Garreth asked.

"I'll meet them first." Rose said simply.

Garreth frowned a little. "Seriously? Rose-"

"I promised Leila I'd protect her family, that includes my siblings. Besides, I won't protect weaklings that needed to be culled anyway."

"That's just cold." Garreth replied.

"That's Demon life, only the strongest survive." Rose shrugged.

Naomi frowned a little. "You marked yourself for her." Naomi said looking sad. "I'm jealous, I wanted you since I first saw you and knowing you marked yourself for someone else. I feel like I'm not not good enough, that I'm not your first choice." She started to cry. She knew now she'd forever have to compete with his first choice.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 04, 2014 6:40 pm
"You were just a baby when you first saw me. All I saw as a kid was that we had a connection. Neither of us knew it would end up like this," Damien could see Naomi was reading way into it and was getting uncomfortable, "Besides, when they took you away and I was on my own, I didn't just go straight to Ariel. I lived my life, she happened to help me along the way, and that's how it happened. There wasn't a first choice, it was just what happened next."

Naomi had a better chance at competing with Leila or Isabel for his attention than she did Ariel. He would always care about Ariel as the mother of his children, but Naomi was special to him. Then again, he understood it was all or nothing for Naomi. Damien knew she would be more than elated if he just abandoned his family just so she didn't have to see them or acknowledge that they came first.

"Let's just get you to rest," Damien ushered her into their room, "It's not that you're not my first choice. We were no where even close to each other and if Leila never had found me, neither would have you. In the end, everything is by chance. You could not have possibly thought that I would just think, 'Well I knew that baby kind of liked being around me, maybe i'll just sit for a thousand years and wait until we're together to see if she'll be my mate'. That's now how the world works."

"You are not truly a demon. You would not understand," Ariel looked Rose up and down, "Either way. If you betray those you serve and protect, your head will be served on a platter to be feasted on."

Ariel's eyes scanned Garreth. She remembered him as the weak man that Damien's sister fathered a child for. Whatever she saw in the man meant nothing now since Leila was dead. Ariel gave him a slight nod, "My condolences for your loss. Damien's sister was someone I was starting to respect. You have my sympathies."

Naomi frowned. "No. I didn't think that at all." She replied. Her baby hormones had her all over the place. "Isaac is awesome. He's a good friend. I know you're a wonderful father, I just. . . It gets to me. I haven't met any of your other kids yet. And I hope their first instinct isn't to hit on me." She pulled a face. "I know you didn't think that. But I thought it. It was the only thing keeping me alive for that living hell that was Klaus. This is just me Damien, my baby hormones are making me ultra sensitive to her. I'll get over it." She cupped his face to let him see she was serious. "I like your family. I want them around. I swear it. They're apart of you. My Damien. I wouldn't want them to leave. And I don't want you to leave them either." She knew he thought the worst of her sometimes, the old her would have made him drop everything and run but not anymore. She was not her mother. She wasn't that selfish. Hormonal and crazy, maybe a little jealous too, but not selfish. Her face shifted expression to one of mild pain. The twins moved in her belly a little. She was an all or nothing girl. "Damien. . ." She said breathing through the mild discomfort. "I want all of you, family included. I'm not my mother. I am your mate. You *pant* and our family come first to me *deep breath through the nose* All the emotional crap I'm feeling comes second. Okay? Do you understand what I'm saying?" She had held his shoulders as she road the wave of pain the movement had given her. She finally looked up at him at the last sentence. Her expression open and vulnerable. "I'm not good at expressing everything I'm feeling. So. . . Did I get it out right?"

"I understand my Husband's sect better than you it seems." She bit back. Her eyes narrowed. She opened her mouth to say something cutting and highly threatening but Garreth stepped on her foot.

"Thank you." Garreth said smiling a little forced grinding his heel on Rose's foot making her wince in pain and grumble something at Garreth. "She was perfect. No one could ever replace her in my heart." He kept his baby close kissing her head.

"Get off my foot." Rose hissed.

"Promise to play nice and I will." Garreth replied.

"I'm not a child you can't tell me what to do!" Rose hissed but Garreth just stared her down. "You're not my real dad step off!"

"Man don't you ever stop whining?" Garreth asked rolling his eyes. "Oh, hey don't look now but I think that's the guy who's job you stole."

Isabel squirmed from her father's grasp until she found herself on the ground. Did she float? The last time she checked there weren't any wings to keep her safe. She began to crawl around, curious of her surroundings until she came a sharp-eyed baby around her age. Who was she? The other toddler smirked playfully before reaching over and pulling at Isabel's sandy-colored hair. Isabel whimpered helplessly before reaching out to pull the girl's dark hair too.

"Astarte, play nicely," Ariel chastised as she reached down and picked up Isabel, "Shh, sweet child, don't darken the lovely light of yours. This is your cousin, let her be like a sister to you."

Isabel felt odd being held by the dark mistress. She peered down at Astarte, who grinned widely.

Damien held Naomi tightly in his arms, kissing her softly before saying, "I understand, my love. Let us rest. We've both had a long day and we ought to mourn the loss of our sister and brother."

He did love Leila so much, and he would miss her. He would also mourn the loss of Klaus because he was his father's first attempt at perfection. Damien ushered Naomi to the bed. Though he knew she couldn't sleep restfully, he at least wanted to lay down with her so he could caress her and check on his twins residing within her growing womb.

Garreth shadowed his pride and joy smiling at her progress. He frowned at the actions of the other toddler. He wanted to pull his baby back into his arms but that silly demoness beat him too it. He'd left Rose behind to wipe the floor with the former guard, a given considering her strength, to be with his baby. Damien was right, Garreth would never take another bride, not because Damien said he couldn't no, because no woman was good enough to replace Leila. No one ever would be. Ever.

Naomi held him back kissing him too. "I mourn only for Leila." Naomi said simply. "After all that Klaus has done he doesn't deserve my emotion." She laid on her left side in the bed taking deep breaths. The babies had settled down now. It seemed they only wanted to move and be more comfortable. Once he was by her side she made a simple comment. "Aside from the pain and discomfort of our babies moving inside me, I kinda like being pregnant." She smiled cutely and kissed his nose. "However, from what I've seen with Ezra expect a lot of me nudging you awake for random cravings in the night." she giggled and pecked his lips. "I love you Damien."
