If you can't accept your own pathetic humanity, you are in far worse a mental state than I am. Me, the 20-year old homosexual man living in an outdated, overbearingly conservative state with the stresses of college and finding work and finding my social niche hanging over my head every ******** second of the day. /endrant. Finally, after several months is getting paid to do art. I just made about $80+ this past week.. *is a happy camper* I also have a job as an artist for a small business so I'll be busy with that along with the personal commissions.
On that note, I'm not doing Gaia commissions anymore. Sorry, I can't keep giving my art away and I don't have a lot of time anymore. It is my only source of income. Need the money to repay the $400 I owe for the new comp, keep my website running, and other various things that require money. So unless, I'm open for art trades, if you want the pretty arts you'll have to commission me with real money.

It's a damn cop out, is what it is, to live in this fantasy world when all the rest of us have to deal with the real one. It hurts me in ways I can't even begin to describe.

We all have our little escapes from reality. I don't think anyone could remain sane if they didn't escape now and then and allow their mind to get off the troubles of the world. However there is such thing as going a step too far and blurring the lines of fantasy and reality.
If one wants to role play and pretend they are something/someone other than who they are, that is fine. But the moment you start believing it and making otherworldly claim, there is something seriously wrong with you.
Hell, even I do believe in the concept of a God, but I do not believe it is some sort of intelligent being that is watching over my every move, judging me and altering reality to mess with my life. Something like that is just beyond ridiculous.
You know what, yeah, people are allowed to believe and think whatever they want. However, if you are going to make extraordinary claims than you need to have extraordinary proof to back them up. Simply believing is not enough if you want me to believe you.

I woke up in the middle of a dream, this morning, in which some big name in /furi/ was lecturing me, in what I felt was a somewhat hostile way, about how to properly bake a soufflé. Specifically, he was telling me about how it was important to use only the whites of the eggs, and whip them with a hand whisk rather than a fork or a spoon or a power mixer. Why? Well, only the hand whisk gives the proper mixture of fluid and air bubbles. And you have to use the whites only because they contain protein chains that stiffen when heated, and trap the air bubbles effectively when you pop it in the oven; if there's even the slightest bit of fat, the guy was saying, the proteins won't chain up properly.
You guys know about /furi/, right? That it's an imageboard for furry porn, basically? So it was a bit of a ********, this dream.

Congrats on the job. =3 I actually canceled my trade awhile back since the pic I wanted wouldn't mean anything anymore. ^^; Edit - Just a small update about myself. Turns out the other persons visit isn't gonna be until November. I guess I still may have a chance, but I'm just gonna enjoy the friendship we have for now, and I'm happy about that.

Equations about motion. Velocity, centripetal force, acceleration....and then a QUIZ......gurk.....

This is bad. I'm losing motivation to work on my projects for my Director class.
The teacher, while a nice woman, is really bad at teaching. I am pretty much incapable of getting anything done if left to my own devices-- and that's all she does. I have a B+ as of mid-term, but I'm not feeling very motivated to keep it up. xp
I am motivated in the sense that my boyfriend will be disappointed if I don't, and I can't stand disappointing him, but that's really my only motivation at this point. xp
