Kurian sighed. "They kept extending my charge. First two months, then five, then a year, then three years, then nine... I thought I would never see Prague again." The Czech accent was more apparent now. "I eventually gave up on my hopes on seeing my homeland. I allowed myself to mingle with other people more... All the while learning more about the village. Even now, after I reveal this to you, I would still be forced to gather information..." He sighed. "The worst part? Telling this to you... Betraying you." He shut his eyes. Damnit! Don't cry! You were trained not to show emotion!

Tears where streaming down her face, "Y...you lied to me? I.....I gave you my heart....I almost-" She cut off. "A....And it was all a lie? You fealings for me where a lie?"

Kurian tried to force himself to calm down. A single tear escaped his lids. "I really love you, Gwen. I do... I wish I didn't have to betray you like this..."

She dropped her guitar, and went to him. She put her hands gently on his face, tears streaming down. "Then don't. No more, not ever again. I love you Kurian, don't betray me anymore!!"

Kurian hugged her. "And the sad part is I have to... They know my true name. They could kill me with a single word." He was crying openly. "Lord... I hate it, Gwen."

"No, they can't. We can stop it. You don't have to do this, Kurian!" She kissed him. "We'll do something, anything." She kissed him again.

Kurian kissed her back. "I know we will..."

She held him close, "we have to......."

Kurian whispered, "May I kiss you?"

"Any time you want." She replied.

Kurian french kissed her, pulling her closer and deepening the kiss.

Her fingers wove through his hair. She kissed him back.

Kurian broke it suddenly. He muttered, "Bartimaeus always a habit of showing up at a bad time..." The djinni appeared, bowing. "I take that as a compliment. The boy sensed me automatically. Couldn't watch 'em."

She smiled. "It was unrealistic to think otherwise. " She giggled.

Kurian smiled. "Dismissed." The djinni bowed and disappeared. Kurian kissed Gwen's cheek. "Sorry about that."
