Connor couldn't help but smirk at Sub's approval of him participating in the undercover mission. He couldn't help but think he wouldn't approve at first but that was in the past. "And we will report back" Connor nodded, as if to say they'd return safely. Joining Odd in the main room, he'd teleport out with him.

It was a miss, but now there was one less clone to contend with at this point. The Pin Missile was annoying, but not much more than that. "Keep shooting, Tank!" Ryan orders. Tank takes another deep breath before firing off his Mud Shot once again.

(random again, this time 1-4)

Another, Tank would miss, but the clone he did hit would fade away, leaving just the original and two clones, making his chances better. However, the Jolteon continued the Pin Missile, firing rapidly from all around, what was it planning?

Ryan was liking this less and less. Tank needed to hurry and hit. He was starting to feel rather concerned about what this Jolteon had in mind. "Tank! keep at it! Mud Shot! Aim True this time!" he commands. Tank focuses and unleashes his next Mud Shot.

Ryan was liking this less and less. Tank needed to hurry and hit. He was starting to feel rather concerned about what this Jolteon had in mind. "Tank! keep at it! Mud Shot! Aim True this time!" he commands. Tank focuses and unleashes his next Mud Shot.

Again, missed, the clone he hit fading away, leaving behind the real and a fake, it was all up to a coin toss next. Unfortunately, the Jolteon's trainer would execute their plan now. "Secret Power." The monk commanded. The Jolteon and its clone would begin to give off a faint white glow as the mud splattered on the ground begin to gain a life of its own, crawling over the many needles littering the ground, consuming them. The globs of mud and needles would then rise up off the ground and form three spiky mud tentacles, waving around in the air with Jolteon as their ruler. With the Jolteon safely behind the tentacles, they would begin to attack, swinging at the Swampert all at once. If they failed to hit, they would unleash a spray of needles around it.

The attack hits and unlike the annoying Pin Missles, this packed a bit more of a sting, enough to make Tank stagger back a few steps. This could end poorly if Ryan and Tank didn't wrap this up soon. "Come On, Tank! Mud Shot again!" Ryan orders. Tank once again rears back and fires off a shot.

Finally, Ryan hit, the real Jolteon getting blasted back by the Mud Shot, the other clone disappearing from the shock. As the Jolteon laid in a puddle of muddle it struggled to get up, using the tentacles to try and keep the Swampert at bay as it did, one swinging downward at Tank, another from the right, the third, was swelling up strangely enough.

Ryan now saw a chance. It was time for a bit of a risky gamble. "Tank, lay into it! Take Down!" he orders. Tank starts his charge at Jolteon. Each strike slows him down a few steps, so by the time Tank gets to Jolteon he is stumbling into the electrical speedster rather than charging at full speed.

Ryan now saw a chance. It was time for a bit of a risky gamble. "Tank, lay into it! Take Down!" he orders. Tank starts his charge at Jolteon. Each strike slows him down a few steps, so by the time Tank gets to Jolteon he is stumbling into the electrical speedster rather than charging at full speed.

"Now." The monk said plainly. This was the defining moment, the third tentacle would explode, sending a rain of needles and globs of mud everywhere. Jolteon would attempt to use this as a distraction for its last attack, Last Resort. The electric fox would suddenly gain a massive burst of energy, shooting out of the mud and slamming its body into Tank with as much force as it could muster. Could Tank endure and take the scarf? Or would he be dazed by the sudden assault?

The attack forces Tank back, but he finds his footing after a several steps. Ryan just keeps his expression flat. "Tank, Hammer Arm." is all he says. Tank raises up his arm and brings it down will his might.

Down goes Jolteon, it put everything into that Last Resort but apparently all it had done was not enough, the fox would succumb to the attack dealt to it.

Ryan takes breath and exhales. "Tank. remove that scarf and go bring it over to the Monk.' Ryan orders. Tank takes the scarf off of Jolteon and gives it to the Monk. Once that is done, Ryan recalls Tank.

"Your power and resolve are admirable." The monk says as he takes the scarf, recalling his Pokemon and stowing away said scarf and ball. "But what of your purity?" The monk says ominously as he walks away, leaving the room as a new monk takes his place, this one wearing a blue kimono. "My brothers before me tested your power and resolve. I shall now test the purity of your heart. Pass my test and the right to ring the Clear Bell will be yours." The monk declared as he released his Vaporeon, should be obvious what he would use at this point.

"This test may be the most simple, and yet most difficult one yet. Defeat my Vaporeon." The monk said to Ryan. That's it? Another battle? Regardless, the Vaporeon stood there, waiting for Ryan to make the first move.

Once again, Ryan would wonder with every question. When the third monk came and released a Vaporeon for a battle, Ryan would do something different. He would walk forward and take a knee as he reaches out with his right hand. He emits some chi out that is calm and not threatening. He looks right at the Vaporeon. "I have no quarrel with you. Can we not reach an agreement the will work for the both of us?" he says, addressing the water pokemon.
