Stories would eventually come to say that Luken was born laughing, and indeed, he might very well have been. There is rarely a down, unhappy, or calm moment with Luken in the house. He has enough energy to bounce off the walls all day, and he seems to be in constant motion, rarely pausing long enough to be given a bath or a lecture or even just a hug.
Life is literally one big party for Luken, whose only goal is to laugh and make others around him laugh. He hasn't a mean bone in his body, but his love for practical jokes can get him into trouble - which he rectifies with laughter and more jokes. He seems almost incapable of recognizing the seriousness of any situation, and takes life as it comes, often spinning entertainment out of even the most depressing things in life.
At times, he can come over as shallow or rude in mocking the more serious incidents, but he can neither help it nor truly be blamed for wishing to put a more positive spin on things.

History:
Vutha still lives with his mother, Kaanga (Mimsey), and father, Upendo'Mpaji (Kaelyndra). He grew up in a huge litter. Some of his siblings were Huria, and have left in adolescence. It seems all of them, except for him, have left home.
His Corporal-ranked sister, Moto'Seide (Kaelyndra), has tried to get him to join both the guard and the Soldiers, but Vutha did not show up for his apprenticeships. It is not hard to find his own place in the pride, but Vutha simply has no interest. Officially, he's a Hunter for the pride, but he doesn't seem to be doing that.
His mother, Kaanga, still loves him, however, and often drags him off to help her teach the children history. He gets stuck with babysitting his mother's friend's children often. This has not, as of yet, chased him from home, though it's probably safe to say he isn't exactly thrilled by the setup.

Quote: Vutha had not enjoyed the last few moments of his life. The cub’s words (he didn’t know its name) still rang in his ears: “Vutha, Vutha, Fira run off again!” Again? What did it mean, again? The reason he had failed to find himself responsibilities within the pride was simple: he didn’t want any. So far, that had worked out just dandy for him except for moments like these, when his mother decided to put children into his hands. It didn’t take a genius to realize that children were rowdy and Vutha did not really bother watching the children, which came together to mean that… Fira would run off again. Of course, he hadn’t exactly counted on being in charge of runaway cubs. As far as he had known (and still knew), home was a happy place to be and he couldn’t for the life of him figure out why anyone would want to leave. So what was this silly little cub doing, running off for no good reason? Then dread had hit him. It wasn’t because the cub was gone, no. For all he knew, “Fira” could take care of herself just fine and didn’t need his help out in the great big desert. It was more the disappointment that might come from his mother. She had trusted him with a job like this, useless and boring as it may be, and now that he had actually lost a cub, he had let her down. Vutha swallowed nervously. He didn’t really want to let his mother down. “Well… go find her!” He suddenly blurted aloud, glancing down at the wide-eyed cub dancing at his paws. “She’s your sister, you should know where she went. Right?” The cub blinked, and Vutha could almost see the tiny gears turning in its little head. Then, the light bulb. The cub’s eyes brightened and he nodded eagerly. “Good, go find her.” The cub turned tail and scampered off, presumably in search of his sister. He pelted his way up a sand dune and over and disappeared from view. Wait. Vutha stared dumbly after the cub for a moment. Now, he had… zero cubs. s**t. Clearly, his genius idea had not been so ingenious after all. He could just imagine the shock on his mother’s face, the anger flaring in Seide’s eyes when they saw that he was alone and cubless. Suddenly, a tiredness flooded through him. Being caught between a hard place and… well, a hard place was certainly not his idea of fun. But he thought that he much preferred the idea of prolonging the necessity of dealing with his angry family to the idea of hunting down two cubs in a desert. With a sigh, he heaved himself up onto his paws, shook the sand from his coat, and set off, tracking the tiny pawprints in the sand before the wind blew and even those were swallowed up by the vast desert. |

Orabella is a little spitfire with wit to match the best and no reserve. Blessed with a dry, usually sarcastic sense of humor, she has no qualms about giving anybody a verbal beating if warranted. She prefers to fight with her tongue rather than her body, and will always first attempt to talk her way out of a physical encounter.
She's quick to think on her feet, and prone to making decisions on the fly that may or may not bode well for herself, but sticks to a policy of "roll with it first, deal with the consequences later". Ora prides herself on being able to deal with any situation by strategizing on the spot, and as such, welcomes challenges and difficulties with enthusiasm. She faces every ordeal with a "bring it on" attitude, and will often tackle them with the intent of achieving a "suck on that" result.
Proud and not at all short on ego (though perhaps in height), she makes up for her size with an abundance of character. She will always be the first to speak up, jump in, or demonstrate her sass, and any short jokes directed her way are met with equal vigor.
